I'm with Die san, I don't like lolis. I respect them, but I don't like their style. If they want to wear it fine by me but I'm not one of them, same goes to goths. I'm tired of being called goth when I'm not one of them.

AlaLavei NiimuraKorin-kun Achansnoose I'm not quite sure if they are the same or not but Die actually says that he doesn't like the gothic lolita style...It doesn't just target gothic attire.. But, it does. See, the Japanese style of gothic lolita/aristocrat is very different from American goth. If an American goth just dresses the part, they are a poser.
The lolita style, however, is just a fashion thing. That is all there is to it; to wear pretty things. That's it. I really don't think that's how it goes. I'm feel fairly sure it is, considering I am one and have been for years.

Wtf do you have to do to not be a "poser?" This has got to be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. Just because you label yourself something...
Ugh. It's a fashion. That's all.

*keblink* XD Luckily for me, I don't really care. *likes victorian and lotia clothing, but could never afford the style, but hates stereotypes, just likes the clothes* <3 Americans do a lot of stereotyping though, for example, the actual stereotype of the "emo" is someone who cuts themself, listens to angsty music, cries at night, and believes themselves to be widely misunderstood. Of course, this type of person is someone you generally wouldn't want to be around, but it's just a category now, something else for people to label themselves and others as....it's rather sad, really. And I think a poser would be someone who just wants to fit into a stereotype. They change who they are to be accepted as something else, trying to fit into a label. -That's just mur's definition.

AlaLavei Ugh. It's a fashion. That's all. That was exactly my point. You can't be a poser. It's just a fashion style!

xd Well, I personally think that this dubbed-over interview was seriously... I don't know the word... "altered" to an extent. It just doens't seem genuine to me at all.
But even if Die (or all of Diru) hated goths, lolitas, etc. I don't think I'd care, even though I AM goth/gosurori (on certain days of the week depending on my mood). The point is that I like their music; I don't feel this extreme NEED to be in their good book (especially considering that rumor about a winter U.S.A. tour seems more or less false now... stare )

DirenGreyNinja the only thing I am mad about is the horrible english accents. Wasn't the clip from a show that airs in England, though? Unless you are saying they could have gotten BETTER English dubbing or something...

I think lolitas are pretty/cute but it's not -my- style, I'd dress up as one for fun but I wouldnt wear it around :/ If die doesnt like lolitas, so what? it only reflects die, not the rest of the band.
Fashion is fashion.
