I usually get right into gory scenes, but I don't think I'd have the stomach for that movie...

I seen it and loved it biggrin the sex was good, cause it kindof built up on how they WERE having a good time. and the gore certainly made up for it. and the eye gouged out thing....they may think she has an illness, seeings how she was walking around. if it were me, I would have thought that, because she wasnt screaming "I need a doctor" or something

I liked this movie, however I think they could have done so much more with the time they wasted in the beginning. I thought I was in the wrong movie at some point. But when it picked up it was well worth it.

Overkill would be making a sequel to the new Fog remake.

After all the build up for this movie I have to say I was disappointed. None of the torture scences really showed the torture and the while normally I let the plot go for horror movies nowadays this plot was just stupid. Thought I must say that if such a place existed I would gladly pay 25k to go play. But overall a 3/10.

The_Wicked_Man Demon-Kyle They're already planning on making part 2. One word: Overkill. Here's another word: HOW?!?! For god's sakes, the movie ended very neatly and succinctly. So how exactly could they do a sequel? If anything all they could was a follow-up movie for some more random people stumble upon the Slaughterhouse. Speaking of which! I just realized that the movie's title makes absolutely no sense. The hostel itself actually plays a very small part in the movie. Practically nothing of importance happens there.

The Sun Prince The hostel itself actually plays a very small part in the movie. Practically nothing of importance happens there. Yes, but the three backpackers meet every major character who was responsible for selling fresh meat to the art exhibit IN a hostel. That's pretty important, I would say.

Not a scary movie. The excessive gore might make some very uncomfortable though. It also had a very weak plot, but was still watchable.

If I remember right, the sequel is supposed to take place right after the first, focusing on three girls in Italy at another art exhibit, where it is revealed that there are exhibits all over the world.

I didn't hate this movie because it was "too gory," because it wasn't. I hated it because it had next to nothing for a plot, and because the assholes in the theater around me actually cheered for the a*****e in the movie when he got his revenge. I did like the idea of the ugly american getting a lesson, but the acting, writing and general plot sucked.
I was pissed that Takashi Miike said it was too violent for him, because it didn't even touch anything by Miike, and he was obviously doing the director a favor by saying it.
The movie was senseless and dumb.

Kapitein Kanker . . . it had next to nothing for a plot, and. . . the assholes in the theater around me actually cheered for the a*****e in the movie when he got his revenge. First of all, if you realize that there is context to the scene where "the a*****e in the movie" kills someone else (i.e. revenge), then there is a plot. Second, do I really have to point out something as blatantly obvious as the plot for Hostel? Three guys are backpacking through Europe while "hunting" for sex, drugs, and an overall good time when the tables are turned on them and they become the hunted, betrayed by their own desires. It's that simple, and although I have never read the back of the DVD box, I'm confident that it says something similar to what I just wrote.
