Vaughn wasn't the only one that had been trained to fight. Although her mentor had been an older wolf, nearly an elder by anyone's standards, he had been quick and agile on his paws. He had trained her in the little time that he had had, and she learned quickly. It also helped that she had a natural knack for self-defense, and could respond smoothly and quickly to any threat that came upon her. So when she saw him ducking and lunging up for her, she followed through the momentum, instead of fighting against it. Instead of falling back or taking an injury, she twisted about and landed on her paws, albeit rather awkwardly.
Righting her paws, she stood facing him, eyes narrowed yet again. Hatred seethed from her pores and saturated the air around her. She underestimated him before, due to his seemingly frightful nature and lack of courage in her presence. She wouldn't make the same mistake again.
"I'll give you another chance," she growled, body lowered in a defensive crouch. "Leave. I don't care how long it takes. I don't care if I have to wait until you fall asleep so that I can cut your throat or simply walk away. I'm going to get rid of you. You ARE going to leave me alone, and you are going to do it soon!"
She was really sick of him. He disgusted her now, and she was appalled by his lack of concern for her personal space. "Get away from me."

Alright that was it, he couldn’t deal with this anymore! Growling Vaughn landed awkwardly on his paws quickly spinning to face the wolf head on. She wasn’t making any sense why would she really wish to hurt him just to be rid of him from her life? She isn’t making any sense! Was she abused or something in her pack? Vaughn’s blood boiled at the thought of a pack abusing their own, that was just against the laws of nature but it did seem to fit her and why she was acting the way she was.
“Why! Why do I have to leave! Why can’t I help you! What is so wrong with me helping me! Why do you want to kill me! Why can’t you just let me help you?” His barks filled the air around him filling his senses filling his thoughts his mind, his shaking started up again. He’d never yelled at a female before, he’s never done any of what he’s done with a female before today.
“It’s like you’re afraid of help hurting you or something! I’m not going to hurt you, in fact since I fear females I’d probably be as far from you as can be! For your benefit, that’s all this is for… NO one else! I already know you’re going to kill me after this weird encounter so why not just allow your life a little relaxing time for once since you seem to be on edge the rest of the time anyway!” It was like he couldn’t stop his own howls, what was WRONG with him?
“I don’t care what happen to you, I just want you well enough so that you can kill whoever did this to you!”

"Why?" she spat, her voice seething with loathing for the male.
"I don't want your help; I don't need your help," she explained through clenched teeth. "I've been doing just fine all on my own since I was an adolescent, and I sure as hell don't need some random male with a hero complex trying to fix my life for me! My life isn't in need of fixing, and I wouldn't be in this dire situation if you would just LEAVE ME ALONE." She stopped her explanation to draw in a breath. "I don't want to kill you, but if that's what it takes to get rid of you then I'm perfectly willing!" The words were harsh, but true nonetheless. It was obvious that it would take something quite severe to draw him away, and that was the part that she didn't understand. Him, a total stranger, wanting to help her, a female who obviously didn't like him. If he wasn't part of the plot to kill her, then there remained no logical reason for him to want to stick around.
"You might not plan to hurt me, but there are others out there who do," she spoke, her voice a little quieter now. "I don't want you around because, quite frankly, I don't trust you. I don't trust anyone but myself. So, if I'm alone, I don't have to worry about someone turning on me and stabbing me in the back!" Her body shook from the anger that was coursing through her now. She was fed up with him, and she almost howled with the extreme agitation that she felt.
"If you really want to help, then you'll leave me alone! I can't get anything done or even think straight while I'm with someone else. I'll just be paying too much attention to you to even think about who might be following me." Thinking along that route, she thought of something that she hoped just might sway him. "Also, if you leave, you'll be taking yourself out of danger. Whoever he sends after me will not hesitate to kill you, too, as you would look like my accomplice." She took in another deep breath.
"So, for the last time, LEAVE."

“You don’t think I know that?” Vaughn plopped to the ground again, his gaze locking with the ground once more, he wasn’t going to fight anymore she was right on all accounts and he was just making her life worse.
“I’m going to die today, be it by you or someone else… Or maybe even by myself! Who knows, life isn’t what you think it is until you take care of it yourself. I was raised to believe that and I’m not going to just change in a few seconds, neither are you.” He could remember when he was a pup and his mom told him that the first time he had gotten hurt while training with his father. He was so young that he didn’t know what anything meant and the pain was so new. “You aren’t going to let me stay but it looks like the fates have another plan for you because right now you can’t say a damn thing that will change my mind.”
“In fact to make it just I’ll just sit here while you attack me.” He knew death was close, he could feel it in his very core, his father always told him that you know when you’re about to die and he knew. “I’m not going to be here long enough to hurt you, and so far all you’ve been doing is try to hurt me.” Taking a deep breath Vaughn continued on, “I don’t have anything so what better to do with my time then try and heal a broken wolf that needs it?”

Eris shuddered at the other, wishing for all in the world that he would just disappear. He was so stubborn, so thick-headed, that she wished she could silence him forever. But violence wasn't the way, not here. He expected her to hurt him, to kill him even, but she wouldn't give him that. Death was not a sentence that she could hand out easily. There was only one wolf that she wished could be dead, and it was not this male.
Shaking her head, she looked up at the other, black eyes hard and cold. "You're life is of no concern to me," she spoke, her voice rough and quiet. "I don't care what you do, or what happens to you, for that matter. I have no say in your life, and I'm only an insignificant part of it. Leave me now, and be on your way. I don't ever want to see your face again."
As he spoke about simply sitting and letting her attack him, she shook her head once more. He was such a coward. Afraid of a female at first, then willingly allowing her to harm him. It didn't make sense. He didn't make sense. Nothing about him ever made sense, and she found that she truly hated him. Nevertheless, she wouldn't have a hand in his death. She was not fate, nor would she ever attempt to play that role. There were things in this world, she believed, that were far beyond the powers of any wolf. Some things that simply couldn't be controlled. He was meddling with the wrong wolf. She would not kill him, if that was what he truly wanted.
"You're pathetic," she spat, hoping with every bit of herself that he was catching on and would soon leave. "I'm not broken. Just a wolf trying to get where she needs to be." She paused, eyes searching him. "You would do well to let me be on my way."

Letting out a long breath Vaughn had been holding in the air awaiting for his death at any minute, he could feel his muscles tug to form a smile though. Did he really get her to calm down like that? She wasn’t going to kill him? There was a chance then! His tail started to wag on its own, alright now all he had to do was convince her that seeing his face wasn’t such a horrible thing. This must have been what his mother had told him about females being picky.
“That’s right, my life is my own and your life is your own.” Nodding Vaughn stayed glued to the ground, he wouldn’t be able to stand for a little while his nerves were shot and yet he was happy enough to have gotten as far as he have with her, with his fear even.
“I think we both know that I’m not leaving you alone. I might not talk to you or try to interact with you… The very least I’ll just bring you food and make sure the area is safe while you sleep.” ‘Just act happy, be small and tiny in you sight and don’t faint…’ Easy enough fainting was controllable, but throwing up not so much he could feel his stomach start to turn again with the urge to gag and throw up.

Eris nodding, feeling that she was finally getting through to him. She hoped that, for all she disliked this wolf, he would learn something from this encounter. He had to learn that he couldn't attach himself to any and every wolf that he ran into. One of those times, he would attach himself to the wrong wolf. That wolf wouldn't have the same restraint or self-control that she had, and they would perhaps attack him with no concern for what happened to him. She didn't care for him, but she wasn't about to murder in cold blood. It was downright wrong.
Yet then his next words took her by surprise, and she realized with great sadness that she hadn't gotten through to him. He wanted to stay with her, and there was nothing she could say now to make him go away. She sighed in defeat, although this was far from over. She would find some way to drive him off, eventually. He wouldn't stick around forever. Maybe once she convinced him that she was fully healed...
She shook her head, turning away from him. "I don't give two shits what you do," she growled, obviously irritated. "Just stay out of my way." With that, she walked away, knowing that he would follow but also knowing that she couldn't do anything to stop him. Not unless she wanted to physically incapacitate him. And she wasn't prepared to do that just yet.
"I'll get rid of you somehow," she mumbled to herself, heading off into the darkness of the night. "Somehow."
