Angelica hardly noticed when Anna left the group to follow the boy into the forest, or when the Hufflepuff replied to her question about being alright after her trip. Seamus was replying to her comment about sneaking out of the castle, which required her attention far more than students from other Houses. "I didn't say I wanted to go alone, I simply said I could sneak out without your help." She exhaled rather sharply. The intrusion of that boy had put her rather on edge.
"Sorry, Seamus." She apologized for sounding so hostile, looking up at her Housemate through her eyelashes. "I just want to get out of this castle and have some fun." She glanced over at Anna's friend, who was helping to clean up the clumsy Hufflepuff. "Johnathon," she called. Her voice was light and sweet, the way it always sounded when she wanted something. "What else can you tell me about this party, hm? What will there be in the way of...refreshments?" She smirked. "Tell me there will be something a bit stronger than butterbeer."

Tomoko audibly gasped when Johnathon magic'd her clothes clean. With mouth hung open, she grabbed at her robes and looked at them closely. "Aaahh! I am sorry!" She blushed furiously. Tomo hated being a burden almost as much as hated having an "oopsie" in front of others. Before she could find some way to make herself useful to Johnathon, the girl a few feet away shouted something about a party.
She didn't quite understand what the Slytherin meant about the drinks. Butterbeer was delicious and very sweet! How could something be, what had she said? "Stronger?" Oops. Tomoko hadn't meant to say that out loud. Her hands shot up to cover her mouth. Attracting unwanted attention was something the poor Hufflepuff was terribly good at.

Seamus watched Anna as she headed after the other ferret and his master. Weird, the whole lot of it. Bloody animals can't even carry a letter, and my shoes... There was evidence of Snickers' last attack, small gouges in the soft leather from his tiny nails.
Furrowing his brow, he drew his attention to Angelica. Instantly, a smile replaced his frown. "I don't know... Johnathon may be on to something. But of course if there's no Fire Whiskey..." He turned his deep blue eyes to the Ravenclaw. "Of course we won't be subjected to the dangers of escaping the castle only to be met with butterbeer, will we?" He waited patiently for a response. It would barely be worth it otherwise he didn't add. Plus, it meant that getting back into the castle with the students who couldn't hold their liquor would be that much more fun. Seamus would never bust a party, but he did have to be a little strict, sometimes.

Johnathon cocked his head to the right, unsure of why the Hufflepuff was apologizing. Didn't everyone try to help each other out? Was he just supposed to stand and laugh like Angelica had? If he was, he hadn't gotten the memo. And didn't want to. "S'okay. No need to apologize. Could have happened to anyone." he said quickly, albeit awkwardly.
Hearing his name called, his attention shifted from the younger girl to Angelica, his eyes narrowing slightly. He had known Slytherins could be bad, he just hadn't known how bad. Crossing his arms over his chest, he shoved his wand back up his sleeve and waited patiently for the two of them to finish speaking. "Actually, there won't even be butterbeer. In fact, we'll all be drinking tea and knitting our grandmother's new knickers." he replied, voice close to sounding hostile. Then he sighed, pushing his hair out of his face. "Yes, there will be things stronger than butterbeer." He honestly didn't know why they'd ask. Wasn't it obvious enough?
When the Hufflepuff girl spoke again, he once more turned his attention back to her, a sheepish smile on his face. "Yeah, stronger. You know...alcohol?"

~* E - a >+< C - o - n - w - a - y *~ "Aw, did my sarcasm hurt your feelings?" When the Ravenclaw apologized, Ea began to look puzzled. And he almost smiled and thanked her, but his defensive temper flared up and he hid the almost-kindness behind a scowl. "Yeah well... apology accepted. But I shouldn't have snapped either." he reminded himself, looking at the girl clearly for once. She was pretty, but although they were in the same year, he'd never learned her name. But the thing that caught his attention was her eyes. Like his hazel ones, they had an effect. Albeit an opposite one. His eyes were ferocious and made people avert their gaze. But Anna's were sort of captivating.
Deciding it bet to 'make nice', Ea stowed his black wand in his pocket and let Moxy crawl back into his hood where she poked out her head and sniffed at Anna. Ea stepped forward and held out his hand to shake. "Ea Conway. My friend in the lake is Andromeda and the rodent is Moxy." He attempted a smile of politeness that looked ill-practiced."Well, I guess you'll just have to go into your wee little emo-corner and have yourself a cry then."

Angelica was looking intently at Johnathon for his reply when the Hufflepuff questioned her meaning. Shifting her eyes to the smaller girl, Angelica smirked. "Yeah. Stronger," she began, but before she could get anything else out, Seamus spoke over her, wondering about firewhiskey. Better off, she thought. The Hufflepuff didn't need any attitude from Angelica after falling flat on her face and looking like a fool.
Johnathon, however, thought it would be a wise idea to be sarcastic with Angelica. She allowed him his little speech, before the trademark Slytherin smirk was plastered on her face. "You know, if you're that rude to people you've just met, I don't think I'm too interested in spending time with you at a party." She paused for a moment before continuing. "But I would be interested in letting Professor Callidus know what her students will be up to." She leaned her head slightly to one side, smiling. It was a feeble attempt, she knew, but she was in no way above tattling on some Ravenclaw who gave her trouble. He had to learn his place, which was, of course, below Angelica. The boy then rectified his answer by confirming there would indeed be more than butterbeer.
"Well, thanks. You couldn't have just said that in the first place?" Angelica replied, noting the exasperated look on his face. She didn't know what sort of parties other Houses threw, so what was the bloody harm in asking? "No need to be rude," she said, giving him a cold smile. Johnathon was no longer paying attention to her, as he had turned to explain to the Hufflepuff what Angelica had meant by "stronger." The corners of Angelica's mouth curled into a devilish smile. "Thinking about coming?" she called to the Hufflepuff, already knowing the answer. "What's your name, anyway?"

Devi left the castle munching on a cookie she had gotten out of the kitchen. She was still hungry since her lunch had been ruined by her brother. He really was getting worse as he grew older. She thought he had been above crawling underneath the table in the hopes of glimpsing up the girls skirts, but he wasn't. At least she had managed to give him a good kick in the chest when she realized what he was doing.
Tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear, she finished off her cookie and searched the grounds for a place to study. As she did, she noticed a small group of students standing near the lake. They were all in her year, save for Tomoko, looking hopelessly confused as usual. Sighing, she walked over towards them, overhearing the last bits and pieces of the conversation, specifically the part about alcohol and whether Tomoko was going. Realizing that nothing Angelica was saying could be good, she worked out what to say on the way there, already knowing that Angelica was likely to taunt her for anything she'd say. "Everyone playing nice here?" she asked, coming to a stop next to the other Hufflepuff.

Tomoko's cheeks tinged pink when Johnathon reassured her. She nodded a quick nod. The boy's attention was redirected. Tea? Knitting? That sounded quite nice to Tomo, although the tone in Johnathon's voice suggested otherwise. It's a good thing she kept her thoughts to herself this time because it became apparent that Johnathon was kidding. He turned back to Tomo and explained what the Slytherin had meant by "stronger".
The Hufflepuff made an "oh" face and nodded her head again. But she quickly lost the little courage the older boy had managed to instill in her when the Slytherin girl began speaking again. And then she turned her attention to Tomoko. Uh oh. Tomo blushed again, this time from embarassment and fear. "Oh... Ah, no. I do not think so." She tried to smile but she wasn't sure if she managed a convincing one. "Ah! Sorry! My name is Tomoko..." She trailed off as a fellow member of her house appeared by her side. "Devi!" It was such a relief to have someone from her own house near by.

Seamus eyes hardened when Johnathon grew snippy, but nodded in appreciation. They boy wasn't a soft as he'd previously decided. Their attention was drawn to the toad chasing Hufflepuff. He watched silent as she and Angelica spoke. Tomoko, she'd said her name but it didn't ring any bells. Not surprising, Hufflepuffs were usually the least fun, at least in his experience. She did seem very skittish, although she relaxed when she was joined by another Hufflepuff. Seamus was not usually silent for so long, but he'd been interested in seeing where this girl, Tomoko, was going.
He said in reply to the newest arrival "Oh, always." It was accompanied with a wink before he silently began his assessment of the new girl. Must have picked the most bloody popular trail to walk. More people had come and gone in the last several minutes than any other time he'd walked the lake.

The Hufflepuff apologized and then told the group her name. Angelica raised an eyebrow. Why would she apologize? Rolling her eyes slightly she was about to respond when another Hufflepuff joined the group. She recognized this Hufflepuff from some of her classes, as she was a seventh year. Apparently convinced they were up to no good, she asked if everyone was playing nicely.
"Come now, Devi, when don't I play nice?" Angelica said, meeting the newcomer's eyes and giving her a small smirk. As Seamus began to take in the appearance of Devi's body, as he always did whenever a girl made an appearance around him, Angelica turned back to Tomoko. "So, why don't you want to come?" she said, her lips in a mischievous grin. "Don't tell me parties aren't your thing. Everyone loves a good party." Angelica really didn't want or expect Tomoko to come to the party, she just wanted to mess with her. Plus, it was possible that Tomoko would get even more uncomfortable than she looked and leave the group, which would be exactly what Angelica wanted. Far too crowded, this spot. And all the Houses are represented, what with that Gryffindor over there.
((The last bit is an attempt to get Kassie into the RP! A feeble one, but... :3))

Anna smiled when the boy accepted her apology, not saying anything on the fact that he also snapped. As far as she was concerned, the matter was over with. They had both apologized and there was no use dwelling on something that needed to be buried. Once Ea stowed his wand away, Anna tucked her own into the waistband of her skirt, deciding there was no need to be defensive. He seemed calm enough, and almost like he was trying to be kind.
As the boy stepped forward and held out his hand for her to shake, there was a moments hesitation before she took it. Touching wasn't necessarily her thing. She shook it quickly before dropping it back to her side, trying not to appear nervous over the touch. "Anna Korkeakoski. It's a pleasure to meet all of you." she replied, laughter laced into her voice. When she woke up this morning, she didn't think she'd be introducing herself to a ferret and a mermaid. Biting down on her bottom lip, she looked down at the ground, trying to think of some topic of conversation. "So, uh. There's this party off grounds tonight if you're interested at all." she said before she could stop herself.
------
Johnathon narrowed his eyes at the Slytherin girl as she began speaking, and when she mentioned tattling about the party to his head of house, his jaw locked. Anna would beat him within an inch of his life if anyone in authority found out about this party. "And I'm sure I'd be interested in wiping all mention of this party from your memory." Johnathon said quietly, taking a page out of Anna's book. He kept quiet as the conversation moved on, glowering at Angelica as a new girl appeared. When it was quiet again he ran a quick look over everyone before taking a few steps back. "I'm out. If Anna comes back, tell her it's her fault." Turning around, he walked back towards the castle, not bothering to glance over his shoulder.

~* E - a >+< C - o - n - w - a - y *~ "Aw, did my sarcasm hurt your feelings?" Ea noticed the hesitation and made sure to keep note of that in the future. At the sound of her laughter, the boy's eyes softened in the slightest and he came close to smiling, but he righted himself and stared off into the lake, slightly confused. A smile? What was going on here? He suspected a charm at work. However, he wouldn't have minded if there was.
He took an instinctual step back at that awkward silence, and wondered if she'd be leaving soon. It wasn't that he didn't enjoy the company, but Andromeda was giving him the weirdest look and Ea felt kind of crowded. But then she asked about a party.
Ea's face flushed red and his visage turned from collected to apprehensive. He laughed nervously before saying; "Well you see, I'm not exactly a... 'people-person'. And I'm sure a lot of people there won't like me. Besides, you're going with that guy who thinks he's your boyfriend right?" he hinted with a playful smirk. He knew that the girl was obviously not interested in the creep who followed her around, or at least she didn't show it. But he wanted to change the subject away from himself and parties. After all, the last party he went to... well, that wasn't a particularly pleasant experience. Some hexes were fired, some heads were inflated, something caught fire..."Well, I guess you'll just have to go into your wee little emo-corner and have yourself a cry then."

As Andi walked down the steps of the school, she began to make her way to the Quidditch ptich. Her steps were quick and deliberate; her owl hooting softly on her shoulder. Whenever she would take a step that caused her body to move hastily Phantom would peck her ear in resentment. Almost as if he were to say, What the Hell was that for? At the thought, Andi smiled. Her loneliness at Hogwarts wasn't real. She distanced herself from others emotionally, and played the part of a 'friend' on other lives, but when she found the title to be too burdensome she avoided her supposed 'peers' altogether. She was never one for hassle, and if someone tried to pin her down with some sort of attatchment she would ignore them. It was kind of funny though. At times like these when she found herself thinking of what her pet would say, Andi realized how lonely she truly was. Her father, although cold and seemingly heartless, even had his few friends in which he confided. But in Andi's attempts to be so much like him, she had abandoned all sorts of charm that were required to make friends. I'm a pitiful fool aren't I? She asked herself. She wondered what would happen if she asked this aloud. Would someone respond? Or would Phantom peck her once more for silence? She really didn't know.
Andi neared her destination as she approached the lake. During her first years at Hogwarts, she remembered she was trying to be fancy on her broom, and druing an attempt to spin, she had lost control of her Nimbus. Before she knew it, she was flying above the lake, and to stop the whole mess, she jumped and fell into the lake's dark waters. If she hadn;t known how to swim, perhaps she would have drowned, but lucky for her, she had taken swimming lessons begrudgingly.
Now, as she walked along it's shore, Anid couldn't help but think of swimming in it again. Will it be just as cold? She wondered. Forgetting about the idea, she tought it'd be best to swim when it was hot, or a blazing hot summer day.

Anna was beginning to grow slightly confused by the fact that Ea would look like he was about to smile, then either look away or replace the almost smile with a scowl. It was as if he felt like he had to be angry, something which she couldn't exactly understand. Determined not to dwell too long on the matter, she waited for him to respond to her comment about the party going on later that night. When he blushed and then laughed nervously, Anna bit down on her lip again, sure she had upset him. She calmed down a bit as he spoke, giving an excuse for him not to show. It aggravated her slightly, especially since a simple 'I'd rather not' would have sufficed. Then he went on to ask if she was going to the party with someone else, as if she had asked him to go with her. Biting down on her tongue to keep from saying anything unpleasant, she struggled to find something a bit more lighthearted to say. "Ah, no. I'm not going with anybody." she replied, managing to keep the tone of her voice soft. "And if you change your mind about the party, it's at the Shrieking Shack. There's a tunnel there under the Whomping Willow." This part was added rather cautiously. People did change their minds, but she also didn't know Ea well enough to be able to tell how he'd react.
