The kiss lasted only a few seconds, and she pulled her lips softly from his as she let go of his collar. Looking around, she frowned a little. "Hm, I don't see him now. Well, I hope that b*****d got a good eyeful of That."
She looked back to Will and gave him a sheepish grin. "Hehe, sorry bout that, could have sworn I saw Panther in the crowds. He's the one I sort of was unofficial with and stuff, and then it got all mucked up and crap." Reaching up, she wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, then giggled. "You've got soft lips, do you use blistex on them?"

Will was still in a state of shock when she finally let go of him. After a few moments he straightened himself up, trying to find his voice.
"Was that... really necessary?" He asked, trying to keep his voice as calm as he possibly could. He had to restrain himself from face palming at her question and instead just shook his head dumbly.
He was starting to think he was getting in too deep.

"Well, I thought it was, otherwise I wouldn't have done it in the first place." Kofuku grinned a little as she started to walk again. "Besides, we never had the chance to figure out how this was all going to go down, so I totally winged it. Though, I don't know why you're upset by it all, since you just smooched a cute girl."
At this, she paused and looked over her shoulder to him, eyebrows raised. "Unless you have a girl you're after or something, then it would only be right if I set everything straight. I mean, just because my love life is miserable doesn't mean yours has to be too."

Will frowned at this. He was starting to aggravated and it showed in his voice. "I think you're missing the point here. And you haven't seen me upset."
He then sighed and rubbed his head as he continued walking. "No... I don't have anyone, but does that really matter? I thought we were just friends and this is turning out to be a fiasco. I didn't ask for this, you know."

Kofuku was quiet for a little while after he spoke, and she stared somewhere farther ahead on the sidewalk, her arms crossing in front of her. He was irritated, and rightfully so, and she was the one being selfish and ridiculous.
"I'm sorry Will." Her voice was soft when it finally came out. "When we get back, I'll set everyone straight about what's really going on. I'm sorry I pulled you into all of this." There was something dead in her voice, and perhaps it was because there was no laughter or joy in her words, nor was there any smile on her face or glitter of mischief in her eyes.

Certainly his intention was not to upset her, but she was crossing the line.
"I would appreciate that." He paused, and then sighed heavily, certainly not liking the sound in her voice. "Its not that I don't like you Kofuku. But I barely know you, and... this is just happening a bit too fast."
He continued to trudge along on the sidewalk. But then the beach soon came into view. The street suddenly opening up to boardwalks and sandy beaches with the ocean in the distance.

One slender hand went up to stop Will from speaking. "Will, it's fine, really. You act as if I really were trying to date you, but you're right, it's way too soon. And besides, the last time I fell in love with a guy like that, it ended in this painfully recent heart break disaster. As it is, thanks to that jackass, I don't plan on EVER falling in love with a guy again. It's simply not worth it."
She followed him down the sidewalk, and once the beach came up into view and they street changed into a boardwalk, she broke into a brisker pace, needing to be in the cheerful crowds and needing to let someone else's cheerful mood maybe brighten hers, because she was really not happy at the moment.

Will paused as Kofuku's hand went up, be said nothing, but he did frown. He stood still for a few moments and watched as she ran off towards the beach and the waiting surf. The red head removed his hat for a moment to run his hand through his hair, before replacing it. He then just shook his head. It really wasn't any of his business... but sometimes he was just too nice.
Muddling through his own thoughts, the red head trudged his way to the beach as well. The warm sand finding its way into his sandals as he walked the beach. Hands in his pockets, he made his way to the water and let it lap at his feet. Content to just stand there for a few moments with his eyes closed as the sea breeze blew at his face. The sounds of people getting tuned out.

She didn't realize until after the crowds had pulled her farther down the sidewalk that Will wasn't with her, and part of her was thankful for it. Breaking away from the hustle and bustle, Kofuku stepped out on to the sands and wedged herself between the backside of two buildings. And that was when she lost it; slumping down onto her butt, she buried her face into her hands and cried. It all sucked, everything, and she felt like nothing she was doing was right and that she was just lost in a dark cave with a damp match and there was no hope.
She didn't know how long she sat there, crying, but by the time her tears stopped, her head hurt, her eyes were red and puffy, and she felt a whole heck of a lot better than she had before. She sat there and sighed, looking up at the sky at the clouds as the sound of the surf reached her ears. It brought her back to old thoughts from when she had been a kid. Sure, life had been rough, but she never had to deal with any of this relationship, emotional, confusingly craptastic bullpoo.
And now it was time to find Will. standing up, she sighed. "Did not think this one through. Now I have no idea where he'd be."

Will stood there for a few minutes, gathering his thoughts. But once he opened his eyes and looked around, he realized that Kofuku was nowhere in sight. Figuring she had already come to the beach before him, he found that he was mistaken.
Deciding to go look for her, the red head backtracked and made his way back to the sidewalk. Pausing at a corner, he tilted his head slightly and furrowed a brow. He then continued and caught a glimpse of pink hair between a couple buildings.
Silently he approached her and stopped a few feet away. A soft frown was on his face, for it was obvious she had been crying.
"Are you sure you want to deprive yourself after just one experience?" Whatever had happened between her and Panther, he could tell she was taking it hard. Again he knew it was none of his business... but he didn't like to see her in pain.

Looking up at Will, Kofuku was quiet for a few seconds as she tried to bring her thoughts back into order. Her eyes rested on his lips, which she noted was in a light frown, before they fell to the ground and she nodded.
"I don't think I ever want to go through this ever again." Her voice was cracked and raspy, and she made a small attempt at a smile. Her lips, however, twitched and trembled a little. "I'm too old to start something like this."

"That's ridiculous. Now come on." Will walked up to her and held out his hand so that he could help Kofuku to her feet.
"How about you stop feeling sorry for yourself and have some fun. Like what we came here to do."

Kofuku stared at Will's hand a moment, then reached up and grasped it. She stumbled a little as she got to her feet, then brushed the sand off from her bottom and looked up at him. "How can it be ridiculous, considering I'm 23 and he had been my first...whatever ti was."
She shook her head, then moved to rest her head on Will's chest. "How does a normal person get through this?" She wanted to have fun, but at the moment, she was too confused to really enjoy herself. "How do you know what to do?"

She really needed to stop doing this. All this close contact was making him feel uncomfortable, but he dealt with it. She needed a friend and while he wasn't the most experienced with such... matters, he would at least try.
He was quiet for a moment, trying to think best how to answer her question. "You don't. Any normal person would feel the same way you are right now. Just hold your chin up and keep moving forward. That's all you can do. Don't let it get you down. Don't let some jerk ruin your life."

Burying her face into his chest, Kofuku just stood there for a bit as she leaned against him. He was strangely comforting, even if he wasn't doing much more than standing there letting her lean into him. Only one question seemed to come to her mind, however, after Will had finished speaking.
"Why is it that you don't think I should just quit on dating and stuff?"
