percussion is the cup of the cupcake if we fall every one comes down with us so if they say we don't matter then they should go ahead and do what we do and lets see if its more than just hitting things. biggrin

I am a clarinet and I feel that our percussionists do hold us together. while marching they dont know what to do or forget where there going then people that are suposed to be next to them cant get there and then the band just falls apart.

In my college's marching band, the percussion was never put down. It was either the color guard or the woodwinds (especially the clarinets. They were supposed to do a pinwheel during a song, but they couldn't do it right so it was changed to something else. According to my friend, the band director said "Damn it clarinets, someone's going to get hurt!").
