How on earth can you choose? O_O
They both have amazing voices, so...I'm not going to pick.
When they both sing together it's like musical heaven. Why pick one when you can hear them both sing? 3nodding

Serj and Daron are at their best when they harmonize. Chop Suey!, final chorus. Holy s**t, best harmony ever.
Outside of that, they each have their own pros and cons. Serj really dominated the first three albums (and did it awesomely, might I add). I normally find myself singing along to his parts in songs, because his voice is deeper and because I happen to like the way he does it. As has been mentioned, he's very operatic (I notice it most in Tentative). It's an awesome style, and I really think he carried the band for the first half of it's life, and distinguished it from other heavy metal bands.
However, since Daron has begun taking a bigger role in the vocals, his talent is noticed a lot more. Prior to Mezmerize, he really seemed like a nasal back-up singer who could do little more than whine in tune with Serj. She's Like Heroin really showed what he could do, huh? And Lonely Day... outstanding. Being a post-pubescent (or most of the way through, at least) male, I can respect his vocal abilities (how the hell does he go that high? s**t, it's scary!). I wish I could do that. Although I am glad to say I've been practicing my random leaps into falsetto so that I can sing She's Like Heroin a little more like he does.
To answer the question, I'm not sure. I'd probably lean towards Serj still, because his voice just has that beautiful resonance to it that Daron's could never get (because it's thinner).

Hearing Serj sing seems to open a door in my mind that I never even realised was there, and once it's opened, all these thoughts come out and beautiful images, and I don't know where the hell they come from, or where they go afterwards.... but while he's singing it's the most amazing thing. whee
That sounds so overly dramatic, but it's true.
With Daron it's the same thing but more....grounded. The images I get with him are less....I dunno....mystical, I guess.
With Serj I see mountains and trees and skies full of lights and things, but with Daron it's more...streets and city landscapes, human things.
So really I guess it depends what mood I'm in at the time, but there is no doubt that they both have amazing voices. cool

Mr. Compatible, I so agree with you! How can he get so high? (Woah, bad pun.) But really, I swear most of the girls I know can't even sing that high!
I also agree about Serj being more mystical, and Daron more, well, blunt. And down-to-earth. 3nodding Yet both are amazing.

they are deffinately best when they are in harmony with eachother using the best sound of both voices...so I'm not voting...thouhg i kinda do consider serj the real lead singer...a little more so at least

The poll doesn't matter. It means nothing. Just because Serj has 85% of the votes, it doesn't matter.
I wouldn't go by the poll. I'll only listen to the opinions of people who take the time to write them out and fully justify them.
So vote for whoever. Either way, it means nothing because you've already voiced that you can't decide.
