Tetsuia Hizawa The Archmage of Astra --------------------------------- [[OOC://Is Tet an a*****e yet? -snort.-]]------------
Making sure Shinichi's eyes were on the lake, the man said, "This will be a practical demonstration of Magical Theory." He snapped his fingers.
A wooden desk suddenly landed into the shallow part of the lake with a large splash.
Conveniently, the desk in front of Shinichi was gone.
With a wave of his hand, the entire room burst into color, strings of blues, reds, whites, and greens lining the walls and floor. Tetsuia lectured, "This is a ward schema made up of a cross between Conjuration and Divination magic."
"Conjuration, though it is normally associated with creating something from nothing, does include the subschool of Teleportation," he said. "The schema for forced teleportation is combined with the Divination runes to react to my intent." He sat down on his char, fingers together, "The runes essentially are written so that...If I want something out of this room, it will appear in the lake."
He then moved his gaze away from Shinichi and smiled at the class, "Furthermore, another criteria is that, once I lock that door, anyone who has not raised their hand to agree with the orders on the board will also find themselves in the lake."

Hardly making any sound at all, the door to the classroom slowly swung open, moving backwards on it's axis moments later. A white blur sped towards the back of the room, a brief barrage of (mostly) inaudible footsteps ringing through the large space, halting at one of the edge desks. The only other movement the girl made was raising her hand high enough for it to be noticed, not that anyone was looking.
She didn't appear to have any opinion, seeing the desk drop into the water, or the words following the odd display, except for a twitch, and a small smile at the last threat.

Uto wispered in Shinichi's ear All in due time he leaned back and clapped his hands and hit his desk it turned into a sakura tree And that was alchemy Uto was serious now So tell me Mr. Tetsuia sensei what is the difference between magic and alchemy? Uto already knew the answer but he wanted to hear Mr. Tetsuia say it.

Tenma raised her hand nonchalantly, not wanting to be wet or in a lake.

Tetsuia Hizawa The Archmage of Astra --------------------------------- [[OOC://TETSUIA BEING A DOUCHE ALERT!!!!!]]------------
The ward scheme glowed red for a moment as the newest member of the class rushed in. A spell circle appeared under the newcomer's feet as the girl rose her hand. The desk glowed blue. A mark on the roster was the only sign that Tetsuia noticed her presence.
He looked over at Uto and merely smiled as the sakura tree suddenly reverted back into a desk. "And that would be another practical demonstration. These desks are warded against Transmutation, seeing that you will be Transfiguring objects today and I don't want to see people's asses attached to their chairs." He leaned back on his chair.
"As for the question you asked, Mr. Uto, it would depend on what kind of alchemy you are talking about." He smiled as he looked over from his desk, elaborating, "There's Flamel's Alchemy, popular after the Flamels had achieved longetivity by proclaming they had created a Philosopher's Stone from the base elements... and caused a Renassiance in the Arts of Potions and Warding." His smile turned wicked as he placed a single hand onto his mahogany desk, turning it into a wooden sign saying 'Fake Alchemy.' "Or the Alchemy you and I just performed." The man made sure to sarcastically emphasize the word 'Alchemy.'
"The one that those pseudo-scientists are preaching...that is separate from magic," he rolled his eyes.
"That form of 'Alchemy' officially belongs to the School of Transmutation of the Magi Guild. The usage of a circle and channeling of energy for both parallels with each other." He changed his desk back into its proper form, adding almost conspiratorially, "In fact, those who are closer to magic...some people like calling this 'actuality' or 'the truth'... do not need the circle. "
He then added with markedly less sarcasm, "As for you, Mr. Uto, today's class won't give you much as we will be studying Transfiguration to start off the course, but you should probably stay for the safety lecture or the explanations about the Magic Schools."

Uto was amussed by the conversation So what if the "magic" you are preforming is not to say a dream like allusion created by someone's hopes of something coming close to alchemy? Alchemy is the closest thing to reality when comparing it to your so called magic. Uto was making it seem like a game. ((Lol he's being harsh >.< but its kinda fun xD))

Tetsuia Hizawa The Archmage of Astra --------------------------------- [[OOC://Class is starting, though I will be watching Burn Notice.]]------------ "Clearly, you are not a pragmatist," the man deadpanned, "And you missed the point of my statement which was that your 'Alchemy' is really just a subset of the School of Transmutation which pseudo-scientists attempted to claim...and failed."
"The mechanics of 'Alchemy' furthermore was taken from the School of Transmutation," he added, "But neither of that matters...simply because to claim that something is closer to reality when they both have the same effect is a rather poor claim."
"Which brings us to the start of class...a description of the magic schools." The door locked with a click with his proclamation, and the walls and floor reverted to their normal colors.
----------------
"And so we begin." the man said as he stood, placing the roster on his table. Adjusting his glasses, the man spoke calmly. "I will begin this class with a brief overview of the magical schools."
"Even since the Cataclysm, the teaching of Magic became separated into eight different schools," he said, "Abjuration, Conjuration, Divination, Enchantment, Evocation, Illusion, Necromancy, and Transmutation."
"For the purposes of this class, we will not be focusing on Necromancy except for theoretical applications," he said as he looked over the entire class. He paced once again.
"Abjuration is the Magic School for defensive spells and barriers," he said as he wove a hand at the classroom, revealing a silverish aura around each desk and chair, "The ward on each table reverses magic of the Transmutation school, important as I don't want someone gluing their a** to the chair during our Transfiguration exercise." The silverish aura disappeared from view as Tetsuia continued with his speech.
"Conjuration is associated with creating something from nothing," the man said as numerous matchsticks suddenly appeared on the students' desks. "However, Conjuration is also divided into sub-schools which are known as Teleportation, Healing, Summoning, Calling, and, of course, Creation." A wave of his hand replaced the Shinichi's missing desk with the empty one beside him. "Teleportation and Creation will be our main topics in Conjuration...and we will discuss much more about the theory behind them during the course."
"Anyways, Divination allows one to see into the future, scry in the present, and see into the distant past. However, future sight is usually granted by a deity and...the visions are usually what the deity wants the user to see." The man gave a grim smile, "In that case, you simply become a tool of fate. The arcane divinations, on the other hand, are just highly accurate educated guesses about the future."
He looked over the class before asking, "Any questions so far?"

Uto raised his hand So how do you if I do or don't know what you call Flamel's Alchemy? Or how do you do or don't know if I have gone to those eight schools? Do you know my complete history? Uto said it in a taunting voice.
