Andrew narrowed his eyes; this man was either a fantastic guesser, or a mind-reader. "You sound so sure," he admonished in a light tone, while mentally drawing up a barrier around himself. Being a medic had its perks; he'd studied all sorts of capabilities within the human mind, including how to fend off telepathy. "And your argument is still faulty," he continued. "I could have the knowledge of how to use a weapon, and be certain I want one like it, but I wouldn't know if it was the right size and weight until picking it up." He did, in fact, speak from experience, though Andrew hardly used anything larger than scalpels in hand-to-hand combat.

(ooc: hey, now. you can't just decide that your character can read my character's mind no matter what; they don't know each other's back story.)

Andrew quirked an eyebrow. "Doesn't matter? What if the customer is a small, talented child, and he or she purchases a sword only to discover that it is heavier than he or she is despite its appearance?" He chuckled to himself briefly. "And I think you'll find that some of us are not as easy to invade as others." He had had a brief moment of panic at the idea that this man could even still read his mind, but Andrew then remembered his self-training from all 17 years of his life; he was safe.

Andrew resisted the urge to roll his eyes, instead giving the man a slight smile. "I believe you make too many assumptions, sir," he observed, tone mild. "And I am glad to hear my mind is safe... I generally don't react favorably to such intrusions." He flicked his dark hair from his face. "So, are you a student at Fuyu? You seem familiar."

Andrew's lip quirked. "And what makes you think I'd be in the girls' bathroom? For the record, I have never witnessed any acts of homosexuality in any public restrooms." He paused, eyes running over the smaller blades in the shop. "Would you be able to point me to a medical supply shop near here?" he asked, tone calm as usual, though internally he was fidgeting. New scalpels sounded very nice, and it wasn't as if he didn't have the money... Andrew gave Kyo a charming grin, eyes glinting dangerously.

Andrew's laugh was genuine this time. "Kill you? I hardly know you. Besides, doctors are meant to heal, not hurt." He took a step closer to the other boy. "If you'd kindly direct me to the nearest medical supplies location, please."

Andrew remained completely still at the other's almost-attack; when his cheek was released, Andrew raised his own hand, running it once over the gouges. The skin healed instantly. "That wasn't very polite," he commented, not a hint of sarcasm in his voice. "I'm not sure I want a... gentleman... such as yourself escorting me... do you not have to tend to the shop?" He was fine. He always carried several scalpels with him, hidden in places only he could easily get at. Andrew tilted his head, inclining it towards Kyo.

Andrew sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose, but nonetheless followed Kyo out the door. As if I had a choice. At least, after this, he'd be able to find his own way to the supply shop.
