So, from your AMAZING logic..... because I don't like the crummy band you nominated, that means I don't know who they are and I don't know what they sound like? Sorry, but no.

That is probably the second most eltitist thing I have seen typed out in my guild.

Emoticon = joke. If there was no emoticon, then sure take it for what it is. If you don't understand jest from serious, that remains not to be my problem. I was making sure people are actually taking the time to listen to these bands, because I KNOW people are not. This whole game is based on taste and subjectivity. If it wasn't and I didn't view it as subjective, I would have fought tooth and nail for many of the options nominated and winners of the rounds.

Simply stating that taste is subjective? LOL. Please, don't be delusional. You were implying that I have never heard of or listened to Bathory. Guess what? I have. They are TERRIBLE! I would pretty much pick ANY other band over them. Don't you dare imply I don't know about bands because I don't have your taste.

I never stated or even suggested that you didn't know who Bathory are, though I'm surprised that you would dismiss the undisputed founders of viking metal so casually.

That said, you don't need to get all butthurt just because somebody disagrees with you.

If my initial remark offended you (which it evidently did) I apologize, as that was not my intention. It's still no call for you to start lashing out with personal attacks and insults in an otherwise friendly conversation, though.

When did I ever suggest my statement was based in "logic"? It had nothing to do with logic, it was purely subjective. Why do you keep quoting something I never said?

As for the insults, you've already called me delusional and elitist. What have I called you exactly?

On the butthurt note, I made a 1 line comment before carrying on with the game. You're the one who actually stopped nominating bands and turned to attacking me for making a casual remark.

If you look back and read all the posts I think you'll find I'm right about all three of these statements. I understand that you expect a certain degree of courtesy and respect, and I am only too happy to oblige. You have to be prepared to return it, however, and so far you have been nothing but rude to me on this topic. This isn't about the bands involved, it's about showing the same behavior you expect from your members.

I didn't call YOU and elitist, if you re read my post, you will see I said what you SAID was elitist. There is a fine difference between the two. If I had wanted to call you an elitist, I would have. I DON'T think you are an elitist.

Everything is subjective. Life is subjective. Volvy, you straight up, called me out. It was an insult. You IMPLIED= whether you honestly believe it or not, you implied, that I have not listened to or understand the "awesome" that is Bathory. That is an elitist thing to say. You were straight up insulting.

1) I didn't call YOU an elitist, what you SAID was elitist.
2) you insulted my intelligence/knowledge of music/viking claiming that my CHOICE of Sunn O))) over Bathory equaled me never hearing Bathory, and claiming that I was a hypocrite.
3) Yes, I told you not to be delusional because we both know that what you said was meant to be an insult. Just own up to it, I'd have a little more respect for you if you did.


I have treated all of you, every single one of you with respect from Day One. Even when, trust me, you guys least deserved it. I have bent over backwards trying to give you all a nice, fun guild.

If you want respect from me, Vovly, you need to give it. If you wanted to have a "respectful" conversation, then you should have addressed the issue in an entirely different manner, you are old enough to know that. But I don't believe your intent wasn't to have a discussion though. I feel as though you just wanted to put me down. So, I reacted accordingly. I haven't been "rude" to you aside from my initial responce, I just 100% completely disagree with you and the stance you are taking. I feel you are being unsincere to your original motives. And going so far as to point a finger at me saying I don't treat people with respect? THAT pushes my buttons more than anything. I am still offended at your accusations.

But I am a big girl and if you have feel that I have wronged you, I can apologize. I apologize for calling you delusional. You pissed me off, REALLY badly, and I reacted when I was REALLY angry. I will not apologize for anything else, however. I did not call you an elitist and I will not apologize for something I didn't say. I still think what you SAID was elitist, and for the the third time, saying something that is elitist doesn't make a person elitist.
