Omega: Narcissa's RoomUser Image

She smirked in the glass of the window, knowing that her comment had shattered whatever he’d initially been about to say. Yes, the b***h was back—And she wasn’t about to let anyone say otherwise. Narcissa wanted Carlos around, the secure, calm, dark prince that captivated her, that challenged her… That made her heart leap to her throat and choke the life out of her. Not the inferior child he had become. He’d never had a problem with her being more powerful of the two of them… Not till after the first few demon attacks.

Come to think of it, not until Varian and Victor had been placed under her wing. If this was all some ego thing and retarded martyrdom issue...She was going to explode, messily, all over the place.

The way you are right now… I don’t need you.”, she spoke gently, though her words were layered with ice. Her head inclined slightly, her golden hair providing a barrier between him and his gaze. Her hand rest still on the window pane as she leaned towards it…Almost as if it were all that were holding her up.

She caught a flash of red, and at first thought it was Kerrigan on the beach... But then, she realized that her sister-Omega generally wouldn't be that chummy with Antonio. Her eyes softened a fraction of an inch... His looks were...So important to him. He had to be devastated... She felt an intense, burning anger with herself, for not being there to save him from that injury... But she was slowly coming to terms with the fact that she had made... The only choice she could.

Her anger flared with many things Carlos said… Most of which, because again, he misunderstood everything. The way she leaned against the window... It reminded her of the hanging rack, and she pulled her hand down with a small flinch, looking away from the window and in the opposite direction of Carlos. “You, are no better than Belasco. You touched something you had no right to. We may understand now--- But at what price? Are you willing to pay for it? Do you even care, or know, what you’ve done?”

“And you—You forgive me? That’s great… Because I don’t forgive you. Get the hell out.”
, she snarled as he was already leaving, feeling her heart ache—Knowing he could feel the torrid, negative things that were running rampant through her. But again, she pushed anger to the forefront so that was what he would feel first and foremost. Not the sadness, nor the fear.

She breathed out slowly as he shut the door behind himself… Trying to stand her ground.

Narcissa… Always had high standards. He knew, all about them. Knew that she expected nothing less than perfection… And while she knew no one was perfect, she wanted the very best they could give. And as par usual, the demon got the best of Carlos. She picked up her suitcase and started ritualistically unpacking, smoothing the expensive materials. Emma had tried to make up for her…Experience with her credit card. Cissa did speak the language of plastic, fluently—But this time, it just couldn’t heal the crater sized wound in her spirit… She was bitter, and angry at herself, and everyone else.

She expected Carlos to stand tall, when she fell, just as she expected the same as herself… But he had simply fallen too.

She didn’t know what to do, if he couldn’t be there for her.

She flinched as the memories kept coming back…Knowing that they would lessen and fade overtime made them partially bearable…But she couldn’t wait for it to stop. Sometimes it was like a loop in her mind… The same horrible things happening over, and over again. She’d killed so many innocent people in Limbo… And she hadn’t cared.

Half way through throwing some racy lingerie into a drawer, her throat tightening again as she picked up her comm and forced the frequency none to gently to her best friends private channel…

Kerrigan… Where are you?”

Omega – Fun in the Sun

Jacen blinked, not expecting such a quick recovery from Sophia. It was amazing that any of them, including him, had any desire to play or run at all after what they’d all been through. He shook his head, Let the games begin…’.

He followed quickly, catching up the girl with relative ease as he passed Antonio and Shandra. Ant had gotten the short of the stick when it came to injuries, poor guy. Jacen decided to let the two have their ‘moment’, but still couldn’t resist one jest of playfulness.

He pulled his shirt off his shoulders as he passed them, tossing it back into Shandra’s face as he kept going for the water, laughing.

“Head’s up Red!”

As he reached the start of the water, he didn’t jump or slow down, just kept running through the water. Water resistance just didn’t work the same on him as with people who didn’t have aquatic super-powers. Jacen came to a stop next to Leion and his new posse, treading water next to the group.

Fai’ai, What’s up?” he asked the assembled group, feeling the waves push them up and down in unison. It felt great to be in some real ocean, made him feel at home.

O+M+E+G+A- Peace and Relaxation

Either Leion hadn't been the only one who wanted to swim first and ask questions later or he was a trendsetter now. Either way there were now plenty of people in the water to start a nice little splash war, though the quickly approaching figure of Jacen would likely pull some tricks that would just make it better. The water was slightly cold, it was warmed by the sun on the surface and slightly chilly about a foot down which made it perfect to fight the heat of the sun, despite the fact that it was nothing compared to Limbo.

He exerted his power in a small burst from his hands in the direction of Vallon, Madison and Sophia grinning roguishly as the water splashed like a torrent of rain towards the three. He figured that a splash fight, though childish, would help others get into a more vacation styled mood. Despite his best efforts Limbo still lingered near the surface of his thoughts, and he planned to do everything in his power to relax and help others to do the same.

"The sea water is great huh?" He laughed shortly after sending the water at the others. The splash didn't disrupt the lower water much so it was mostly just the warmer water of the surface that flew towards the trio. He was really starting to wish that he hadn't forgot to pack his goggles, it would have given him a slight advantage over the others excluding Jacen of course.

User ImageStaring this off on a relaxing note.

Forellen wasn’t sure how long she lazed on the bed before she pulled her arm from across her eyes. If she fell asleep now then she would be up at odd hours in the morning so with a yawn and a stretch she got out of bed and opened the window of her room to let in the sea breeze. She rooted through her suitcase until she located the object of her desire. A medium sized metal container that had the few things she couldn’t do without while on vacation. One such necessity was her tea. Forellen was very picky about her tea and wouldn’t touch American tea stating that it was bland. So because of that Forellen had her tea imported from home and she jealously guarded it. If she caught you dipping into it without permission then you spent the afternoon worshiping the porcelain deities. Certain people had permission to access it but not many did.

Tea in hand she padded out into the hall. Now that she was on vacation Forellen frowned at what she wanted to do now. ”Perhaps a nice cup of tea first then I’ll figure all that out later.” She mused to herself and looked down the hall at the sound of voices. Carlos and Narcissa. Forellen could easily identify their voices and a then a moment later silence. Curious Forellen padded up the hallway towards Narcissa’s room to find Carlos gone and the door closed.

Approaching the door with only a slight hesitation Forellen knocked on it. Narcissa was understandably unpredictable at the moment. While before she could probably let herself in without an issue, provided Narcissa was dressed for company of course, now it was wiser to knock first. Since Forellen was going to make herself tea she decided to see if Narcissa wanted any. Narcissa? I’m going to make some tea would you like some?” She asked after opening the door but a crack so she wasn’t shouting through it. While a lot of people had been walking on eggshells around their beloved, or not, leader Forellen strove to treat her as normally as possible after all Narcissa was her friend.

In the Sand - Just like old times

User Image

A loose smile formed over Shandra's lips as her hand slipped out of the mass of lightly scrunched up red hair, simply over the thought of how hot she knew it could get in California. While she didn't grow up in the hottest areas, she was well used to it somehow. She didn't make a comment about that though as Antonio switched topics, apparently going to investigative mode. She wasn't known for telling people much about her past that they didn't already know, it was almost surprising that he even knew she was from California at all.

But then...he didn't stop to hear an answer. Maybe he hadn't wanted one? Though her smile faded as she even thought about visiting what little family she did have. Last she saw, her dad was covering for her towards the police, and her mom...well, she put her mom in the hospital - accidentally of course.

And other than the eyepatch on his face, there was still something...very...off about Antonio. He seemed...much more tamed almost. Subdued. Different. She didn't really know this version of him. But maybe it was just because they were still trying to settle down from their two days in Limbo...that could be plausible.

Her lips turned up into an eased smile, not a full blown out one but something above neutral, at the thought of going back to cooking for everyone. It seemed almost so long ago that she'd been making some sort of meal for everyone in nose range. But really...it hadn't been that long. Not long in comparison at least. And the meal in Limbo totally did not count...

Shandra laid herself back down, hands behind her head as she propped one of her legs up, looking for all the world as though she was pondering over that question. It was so easy to answer, but at the same time she was half way thinking about all the different roles she'd gone through since coming to the Academy. Life used to be so much simper before it all...she'd just had three roles back then, now she didn't even want to try and count how many. Yet she found herself doing it anyways...

"Sure," Shandra breathed out. "I don't mind cooking...but you know you're just as good of a cook for regular foods."

And he still owed her hand made tacos.

She turned her head to look at him, hair forming a small ledge over her cheeks to block some of the blaring sunlight out of her face. There were a few questions she wanted to ask him...he'd seemed so down in limbo, and now...he felt aged - that was the only way to describe it that made sense to her. But questions at the moment wouldn't be polite...so she wouldn't ask them.

"We should try to find a farmers market or something," Shandra suggested to Antonio, looking at him from her turned head as her hair continued to slowly slip over her neck, "a lot of good fruit should be getting shipped down or imported."

Besides, that would give her the chance to try and find out why he was so not himself anymore.

Her head snapped back "up" when she heard Jacen yell something about heads up. Her hand automatically went to the air as she sat up in almost a snapping motion. She was expecting something a little heavier than a shirt...however...and it kind of went straight into the ocean out of sight.

"Why do guys keep loosing their shirts around me?" Shandra asked wryly as her eyes stayed to the area where Jacen's shirt was thrown, knowing that the ocean had probably caught it already.

Looks like he'd be going shirtless on the way back to the place. Not like that bothered too many guys from the mansion...

But the worst thing she found out was that with the quick motion that Jacen had caused...she now had sand down her back. That...was going to be annoying. Antonio probably got some sand spilled at him too. Her hair and baggy clothes tended to make excellent carriers...powers or not.

Which reminded her, as she took off just one of the outer shirts, that she definitely would need to let up on the layering while back in California.

Alphas: The End of Darkness. Now, break out the aloe

After Evie reavealed herself, things in Limbo went a little nuts. To Hoshi, it seemed things got streightened out rather fast and soon they were back home. What had been two days in limbo was only a few hours at the mansion. Hoshi made a face as she realized they’d be sleeping in the simulated dorms again. Then the Professor announced that he was sending all the students on vactaion.
Hoshi was disapointed- as much as she missed her family in Colorado, she wasn’t ready to go home just yet. That was when the Professor told them that they’d be vacationing as teams, on his private island in california. Hoshi privetly wondered if the Professor had a mint hidden on the grounds somewhere. He sure seamed to have a lot of money to just toss around.

***Time warp-two weeks later***

Hoshi sleepily lifted her head from the seat in front of her when she heard doors slamming. With a deep jaw popping yawn, Hoshi streached and grabbed her bag from under her feet. Her suitcase was already on the steps, unloaded by the tour guide people. She hadn’t meant to fall asleep on the jeep ride to the small manison, but she’d had another nightmare. Hoshi had not slept well since returning to the manison. She hadn’t said anything about it before because of everyone who’d gone to limbo, she seemed to be one of the few who’d escaped with only minor wounds. Hoshi breathed in the scent of the ocean deeply. Strangly, it reminded her of Japan.
Hoshi began wondering through the condo looking for the perfect room, thinking back. The first night she’d been back at themansion she’d curled up in a tiny dragon ball of exaustion and had fallen right back into limbo. In her dreams, she was back in Belasco’s trophy room, looking at the wall of trophies. She always tried to look away, but couldn’t . mounted on the wall were the heads of her family. She’d had several verarations of the dream, but considering that was the only part of the dream she ever remembered, she didn’t say anything. Hoshi decided to ask her teammates if she should talk to one of the adults about it.
Hoshi smilled as she passed Forellen asking the omgea team leader to tea. While Forellen waited for her friend’s response, Hoshi greeted her.
“Hey Forellen. How’s your leg doing today?” she asked, pausing in the hallway. She pointed to the metal container in Forellen’s hand. “you like tea? I’ll have to preform a Japanese tea ceromony for you sometime.” She crooked a smile at Forellen, waiting for a reply. As Forellen answered, Hoshi let out another jaw popping yawn. “Sorry bout that, I didn’t sleep well last night. “ she said to Forellen. When Forellen turned her attention back to Narcissa Hoshi continued her hunt of the perfect room.
Two minutes later she found it. It was the same size as her room at home, and had the same bay window seat. The furniture was made of some light colored wood, though what it was exactly hoshi wasn’t sure. The predoment color in the room was a deep red, with soft grey accents. Hoshi heasitated in the door way- it was red, so maybe it was intended for an omega? Hoshi shrugged after a minute. If someone hadn’t claimed by now, their loss. Hoshi opened all the windows in her room and began unpacking-until she found the pink and white bikini she'd just bought. it was her first bikini, and she was nervous about wearing it. Hoshi pulled a punked out skirt and fishnet top on over her bikini. Tossing on a pair of sunglasses and a floppy hat, she joined the other teens on the beach.
"Hey, does anyone want to start a vollyball game?" she shouted to the people in the water.

Sophia ran between Isabella and Gideon, just narrowly missing smashing head long into her team leader who warned her to be careful. “Ah always am, cherie!”, she called back with a breathless giggle. She crossed her arms over herself and pulled her sundress over her head, tossing it to the sandy beach with her flip flops a little ways before the water. Jacen ran by her then, even though she'd had a head start, smoothly sailing, and the Alpha made a face… Boys.

Her head turned, just in time to see Christian settling into down under a tree—Hat tipped. She shook her head, half tempted to go drag him back to socialize… But if he really wanted to be alone, she would leave him be. For now.

She laughed when she saw Jacen toss his shirt at Shandra, her grey eyes lighting up as she passed them. “Bonswa Antonio—“, she greeted the boy that had been so kind to her in limbo. She saw his eye patch…But had seen it all week, and it didn’t bother her. He’d fought hard. Injuries were, it seemed, simply inevitable. “Ano—Shandra, don’t complain about the shirtless boys! They might put them back on!”, she turned back towards them a moment as she put the back of her hand to her forehead, in mock swoon… “Mon dieu!”

She made it in to the water a few moments before Vallon and Madison, and did a little circle dance at knowing she wasn’t the last one in the water, and therefore not the rotten egg. Sophie wore a one piece baby blue swim suit that had large circles cut out of the sides, and a small silver ring holding the material together at her bosom. It was modest enough, covering all of her necessary parts, while not being too much.

The water was warm on her ankles, and she waded slowly towards the deeper waters, her feet sinking in the perfect wet sand. It amazed her that she could see the ocean floor so clearly. She hadn’t seen many fish yet, but she supposed that had something to do with all the noise they were making… After awhile she actually had to doggie paddle to stay afloat… She wasn’t the best swimmer in the whole world, but she was passable.

Enough not to drown anyway. So she hoped.

Fancy meets fancy…”, she tossed back at Madison with a more shy smile. She didn’t really know her very well—She remembered her from the armory, before limbo. She’d picked up something…Arrow’s? Either way, her smile brightened as she greeted Vallon as well. It was going to be Leion’s turn next, but at the moment when she opened her mouth, it ended up full of water he splashed at them.

She coughed a second, but started laughing through it—moving her hands outward to send water splashing back at him.

Kerrigan rode with the rest of the group to the condo they would be sharing for vacation, the redhead in silent awe at the beauty of the scenery. The water was a shade of blue that she was not sure she had seen before, the sand of the beach warm and inviting. Without much word, she had starting lugging her one suitcase through the sand, moving it without much difficulty. Narcissa had barely spoken to anyone since coming back from Limbo, not even her, and while it was making her a little worried, she knew better than to push the blonde on something that she didn't want to do or talk about. She saw the blonde shove her way ahead of the pack and disappear into a room, locking the door. The redhead didn't really take any offense to it -- she understood that things were weird for the time being, and when Carlos came to the door, pausing, the redhead gave him a slight glance, placing her hand gently on his shoulder before setting off to find a different room for herself.

Letting herself into a room, she wasn't sure of someone else would come in or not, but she left her things in her suitcase. If, for some reason, Cissa wanted her to be there, she wanted to make sure she was ready to move. Some might call it a "whipped" relationship, but Kerrigan knew that everything was more out of concern for each other. The redhead and the blonde always had a bit of an interesting relationship; one that was not easily understood by third parties. They would see; however, that she was anything but whipped, and rather than waiting around at the blonde's beck and call, she was ready to hit the beach.

Changing into a black bikini, she threw on a white button-up shirt as a cover, tossing her messy curls around momentarily before sliding a pair of aviators on. Her feet slid into a wait of gold, grecian sandals as she glanced out the window of the room she found herself in, seeing some of their team already starting to frolic in the sand and surf. A shirtless Jack couldn't help but catch her eye, the redhead biting gently down on her lower lip as she quickly turned her gaze back to the task at hand. There was something about him that annoyed her to no end, but at the same time she found herself wanting to impress him, wanting to make sure that he only spoke to and looked at her.

There came the soft sounds of arguing from the hallway, the two voices most familiar to her sounding so angry at one another. Whenever things were on the rocks between Carlos and Cissa, she felt something inside her break ever so slightly. It was a pain that would never show on the surface, but those that knew her well would be able to tell the mental distance she put between herself and the world around her. Still, she was never deaf to a friend's call. A voice came through her comma device, ever so softly, and Kerrigan was instantly on the move towards the door.

"Kerrigan… Where are you?"

"I'm on my way," she said in response, grabbing her large tote bag she had brought wit her, already packed with a towel, her latest reading conquest and some sunscreen lotion. Redheads and the sun were not the best bedfellows.

Within seconds she was in front of Narcissa's door, seeing Forellen already there, soon followed by Hoshi. The redhead have her fellow Omega and friend a smile, tossing her curls over her shoulder as she leaned gently against the doorframe. The white-haired girl had already cracked the door slightly, though the redhead made not attempt to move inside for the time being. Kerrigan was too aware of Cissa's current mood to just barge in. Instead, she opted for the softer option, which included waiting to be told to come in and then move on from there depending on the situation. She had already made up her mind - whatever Cissa needed from her was what she would give. Period.

Alpha - Catalina - Vacay!

User ImageWhile the Junior X-men were en route to their vacation spot, Raine sat in almost uncomfortable silence. It wasn't that she was uncomfortable being so close to everyone else in the Jeeps, or the fact that they were going to a resort to unwind after their experiences in Limbo. No, Raine was silent because she was mentally berating herself for her performance in Limbo. No one had said anything to her to make her feel this way -- they didn't have to. Over the last two weeks she kept reliving one moment over and over in her head. It was the moment she froze. Her team was getting absolutely pounded around her, and Raine suddenly found herself unable to function, unable fight, unable to even breath.

Getting back to the Academy was a blur, not because of their abrupt exit, but because she fell unconscious shortly beforehand. She woke up about an hour later in the infirmary, not sure of what was going on or where she was. The medics told her it was because she had exhausted almost all of her energy reserves during the fight, but Raine knew the truth. It was because she was weaker than the rest of them, and her powers almost too limited. She had been foolish, expending so much wasted energy in her rescue attempt for Christian and Sophie, and even more energy was wasted when they were fighting the priestesses and demons in the castle hallways. She had no one else to blame but herself.

As they pulled up in front of their condo, the girl was slightly taken aback by the beauty of the scenery, deciding then and there that she would have to find some time to do training while they were here, away from the eyes of others. None of them would tell her that she was a failure to her face, but she knew that if she didn't start getting stronger soon, she would have to face their constant scrutiny. Grabbing her two suitcases, her dark hair blew in the ocean breeze as she made her way towards the Condo, seeing Sophie lugging her things up the stairs. She heard a tumble, the girl nearing the site of the accident just as Sophie was being helped up by Christian. Without warning, the girl took off running towards the sand, a small smile coming to Raine's face as she saw people starting to move on since their experiences in Limbo. It was going to take a lot of rest and relaxation for things to return to normal, but in a place like this, there was little else they could do.

Tucking her things inside a room she was pretty sure also housed Sophie's suitcases, the lightning bug made her way out to the beach, wind blowing about her. She wore a pair of khaki-colored linen pants, a white tank top and a hat, no swimsuit in sight. To be honest, while Raine was in pretty decent shape she never really had the confidence to run around in a swimming suit. Not to mention that swimming was an impossibility with her powers. No, for now she could find a small spot on the beach to call her own and just think about the training she needed to do in order to become as strong as the rest of her team was.

Moving her way through the beach, it was not long before her sandals were off, she the hot sand squished between her toes until she laid her towel out not too far from Jack. She said nothing to him as she used her sandals to anchor down her towel, sticking the umbrella she had brought with her into the sand to keep some of the sun off her. While she would not burn, she disliked getting overheated, and the easiest way to abode that was to enjoy the sun from the shade. She gave the giant a sideways glance and a small smile if he looked at her, though she said nothing else, settling down on her towel and pulling out a book she had to read. After so much time in the darkness, this was a welcome relief.

Alphas: Solar therapy
Since they got home Alek had not spoke to hardly anyone. He had closed up almost entirely. The only thing kept him from becoming air tight was the telepaths. He knew they would always be able to hear what he said and their were many nights that he had conversations in his head, in which he knew he really wasn't both parties as it had seemed at first. He had started to think his brush with death had actually caused him to go crazy. It was then the telepaths that had been trying to open him up came out into the light.

They had started to implant the joys of this vacation into his mind. Knowing it would do him well, knowing how dead set against it he was. It wasn't because he was stubborn, it was because he didn't feel up to it. But eventually the memories that were brought into fruition started to make sense. It would feel like home, he would be more comfortable there than he would here.

So it was no surprise that he had found his way to the beach, after dropping his luggage in his room. He was laying in the sun like he had always done back home. Sunglasses covering his face, his hand brushing down his body, rubbing over the scar that had been left below his shoulder where the rod had gone through that had put him in this... rut.

The sun was welcoming against his cold body. He wondered if this kind of comfort was similar to how Cissa welcomed the sun. For Alek... he was always cold, and the warmth was something he sought after in many ways that he wasn't sure how to explain. It was always their and he always wanted it like a fat kid wanted food.

He looked over to his sad and grabbed his water bottle. He pulled himself up, and pushed his glasses off his face and onto his head. He held the water, channeling his powers through it freezing it. It reminded him of when he first came to the school. A tiny lankly kid. A kid who thought he knew everything and deserved it all just because the world revolved around him. He came a long way since then. He remembered that initial fascination with Narcissa he had... At first it was just a clash of powers. He saw his powers as a polar opposite. It would be a lie had he said he didn't think so to this day, but he knew the only way the theory would be testable is if they were the same level, and that would take years. And each year Alek trained, Cissa got a year of training to.

Alek stared down again, his thoughts turning to Bella. He wanted to talk to her, but he couldn't find the time. He couldn't seem to figure out when the time would be right. He was scared... he was worried, he wasn't sure what would come of it. He knew he had hurt her, but then he also understood she didn't understand him either. But that was life... but it made things so complicated.

Omega: Cissa's Room
User Image
Narcissa was dead silent as she clutched her calm, staring at it, willing it to talk back to her. It was only a few moments of baited breath when she heard a reply from her red haired amazon, but for her, it still wasn’t soon enough. Kerrigan was one of the few things that felt unchanged to her…Not untouched, but unchanged… She was still the girl she remembered. Steadfast and perfect, just the way she was.

Kerrigan hadn’t been forced to see her as Solis—She hadn’t hurt Kerrigan directly.

She heard a knock come to her door, and while she knew it wasn’t Carlos because of the normal energy level outside the door…She didn’t know who it was. Hearing Forellen’s voice she breathed a sigh of relief… Though for a moment she didn’t comprehend the question. Tea? Did she like tea? Yes…Narcissa loved tea. Used to have tea time. “Please…”, Narcissa called back, her tone less…Carefree, than she wanted.

But at least her voice didn’t crack… So it would have to do. Forellen, she knew, wouldn’t begrudge her that one slip… “With sugar.”

She didn’t demand that her door be closed, but went back to putting some of her things away…She was doing her best to keep her hands from shaking. Narcissa had never felt so…Unstable. She felt like she was frayed at the edges, and just slowly falling further and further apart… Little things set her off, her anger having no bounds… Though she tried to control it.

Tried. That wasn’t saying she always succeeded… Not at all, around eighty percent of the time she failed in that venture.

The Omega was waiting for things to be… Okay again. Normal, for her… Where a Cosmo mag made sense… And the sight of raw meat didn’t make her violently ill.

She couldn’t bring herself to pay attention to Hoshi… She was an Alpha, to start with, had never spoken to her before—And therefore certainly wasn’t her problem. Omega’s, were her concern, were her problem… They always were the broken team… The one she’d tried to gather from disrepair and make them… Whole, if not dysfunctional…

Bang up job she’d done there. Half the Omega’s had moved on.

She turned her head, hearing Kerrigan’s voice… Even that, was a balm to her ire. Just to have someone who…Understood, no matter what happened—It was a rare thing. Narcissa was a very particular person… And Kerrigan very gracefully put up with her whims. She deserved a medal, for being her best friend. It had to be hell at times...

But instead of that, all she could offer was an emotional train wreck… How sad, and horribly pathetic was she?

Her cold glacier eyes swept over the bikini clad girl, and something softened in them… She looked away… Sickened with herself, and the way that she just couldn’t… Get over things. At this point…She wanted to find a telepath to erase her memory. She didn’t ever want someone in her head again… But what haunted her, just wouldn’t leave.

“I…”, she trailed off, voice careful… Her face changed from apprehension, to confusion to frustration… She knew what she wanted to say, but the words weren’t coming. She looked down at her hands, swallowing what she was actually going to say.

“I like your shoes.”

User ImageAlpha: Rooftops

Evie sat on the window ledge and became dissatisfied with her view. She looked around at the roof above to determine her path. The roof on this level was rather low so it wouldn't give her trouble. She put her feet up on the ledge and extended her arms to see if she could grab the roof edge. Her finger tips were maybe two inches too short. Not bothering to look down (she knew the drop would hurt despite healing if she missed but she was going to miss), she powered her legs and jumped reaching the roof ledge with her hands. She swung her legs up over and pulled herself onto the warm shingles.

Now this was the view she was looking for. Her eyes took in everything around them. She could see the world down to details that many wished they could dream of. Details that could put somebody less-trained's mind into overload registered in hers and it calmed her.

She hadn't had time to focus since leaving Limbo. Things felt disconnected still. Trapped in her own head. Part of her thought that she would just jump back in and it would all be the same. For her life didn't move on those two months she was away. It was like she was caught in stasis. For everybody else, things moved on. The part that she wasn't ready for, even if she knew it was a big possibility, was that Reik wouldn't be there for her when she finally returned. For that she was angry. Not at him, but at whoever it was that screwed with her powers and angry at herself for not handling things better.

He was the first person she really attached herself to and that made her feeling vulnerable. She hated that feeling. The breeze from the ocean kicked up around her and made her realize that tears were forming in her eyes as the cool struck the water on her face.

"What was I so stupid," She muttered to herself wondering why she let herself get into that position in the first place. Life was easier when she didn't allow love in, just loyalty, "I wish I never-"

She caught herself before she finished her sentence and made herself laugh after remembering the night that had started the whole thing: their prom. And then she ran through every moment after that, the good and the bad. Wiping the tears from her face she muttered, "No, I'm glad it happened. I would change those memories for anything. I'm being stupid now."

She stood up and looked at those of her team around the various areas outside. She didn't know a lot of them. But that was the fun of life, wasn't it? New experiences. She knew that the odds were in her favor to live longer than most here. She knew there would be much more heartache and love lost in the future. Part of her always hoped it would return, but she couldn't wait for it today. That wasn't her. That wasn't how she lived.

And letting it consume her would do no good. It isn't anybody else's fault things happened this way. Blaming it on some unknown bad guy was pointless. This is life. Life doesn't always work out the way people want it to. Under her breath she said, "I love you, Reik... and I hope someday we have what we did before. But I can't hold onto it or I'm no longer the person you knew from day one."

Listening she heard voices she wanted to hear about two levels down. She swung back down to her window and then looked to the second level room directly below. She heard Bella's sing song voice coming from the one open window. Judging her distance above, she determined that she probably wouldn't injure herself too badly.

"And for stupid stunt number one," She jumped out of her window and landed on the balcony on her own two feet. Minor damage to her ankles which would heal in a minute or two. Tapping on the sliding glass door first (not to be rude), she slid it open and grinned.

"Looking for me love?" She practically tackled her in-law cousin and then punched Gideon in the shoulder, "Hello friend."

Omega:Catalina - If you just call me

User Image

Kerrigan heard the Blonde's reply, giving Forellen and the Alpha Hoshi a small smile as she stepped further into the room. She looked at the blonde before her, still slightly getting used to the new haircut. She had to say that it made the girl look even more fierce than before, mostly because the long hair almost seemed a ruse of feminine weakness. Kerrigan knew better, even before, than to underestimate her, but now it was certain that even fewer people would be tempted.

Her expression cracked into a slight smile as the blonde complimented her shoes, the redhead moving across the room and taking a seat on the edge of the bed as she tossed her hair over her shoulders. One leg crossed over the other as she laid back on her elbows slightly, treading a fine line between pretending that nothing had happened and trying to make her best friend feel better. In this case, it was an even thinner line, but Kerri was pretty confident in herself. After all, if anyone knew Cissa, it was her.

"You should. You helped me pick them out, remember?" Standing as she saw the tint of frustration enter the normally serene and calculating glance of her best friend, the redhead crossed the room to her, gently wrapping an arm around her shoulder and bringing the girl into a side hug. Her crimson head leaned softly on Cissa's blonde head for just a moment before she put a few inches distance between them. Her look said it all - when she was ready to talk; to say whatever it was that was so difficult for her to spit out, Kerrigan would be there to listen -- it would be on her terms. The redhead could only imagine what her fellow Omega had endured at the hands of a demon maniac like Belasco, and while she heard through the proverbial "grapevine" the kind of monster they faced as "Solis", Kerrigan did her best to distance herself from such stories. As far as she was concerned, it was in the past, and now all they could do was move forward. Narcissa's recovery would be on her own terms.

"How do you feel about joining be down at the beach? Even if we just find a quiet spot away from everyone else, the sight and smell of the ocean might do us both some good." Her tone was not pushing in any manner, but there was a hint of suggestion among the care and concern. It wasn't like Cissa to be so distant from her life, even after facing such traumatizing events as the ones that unfold in Limbo. Kerri already promised herself that she would do whatever the bond needed in order to help things get back to normal, and that promise held true.

Omega - On the Road Again

Something in Carlos shifted back and forth at Narcissa outburst. It broke down and as he left the only indication was the cold air about him growing heavy. In his room he contemplated what it was and settled for disappointment and something else. That something else was compulsive and brain racking. He got up after the long while he spent sitting on the bed with his thoughts and came out his door. He didn't spare a glance at Forellen, or Hoshi, he simply went on his way far colder then ever. If anyone could read him at this point the only thing to be said was he was moving with purpose. He had taken a pill which should have helped him think clearly but his thoughts were still racing. He made his way outside, to his rented bike. He slipped the helmet on and swung his leg over as he started it. The engine caught someones attention. He thought it was probably Scott, but it didn't matter.

The back tire squealed as he peeled out leaving a white cloud of smoke and the smell of burning rubber as he sped off towards the highway. His thoughts seemed to line up. And the picture he was looking for was much clear once he focused on the complex task of controlling the two wheeled vehicle. At the slow safe pace they came here, he hadn't notice how curvy the road was. And at these higher speed approaching the suicidal range of safety it was fun, or should be. He knew he should enjoy it, or should be. He wove with what little cars could get in his way. And little by little corrected his drift on the sharper turns. It wasn't too surprising to him how quickly his balance adjusted to the new dimensions of the bike, He was one of the more agile students.

The bike shuddered and it wasn't too unfamiliar. He detoured of his chosen course, and pulled into a gas station mini mart. He looked at the pump blankly for a moment before moving to fill his gas tank with premium. He looked at the double doors feeling somewhat lost. Another time he might have fancied something to eat but lately he hasn't been eating much. He also didn't sleep at all for the past six days but unlike usual he remained fresh and alert. They were the subtle changes that spooked everyone. His only guess was the massive feeding on Demon Souls he allowed himself to partake in. He pushed the thought aside as the nozzle clicked and he put it back on the pump. He took his receit and remounted the bike.

He took off far gentler then when he left the condo. And his riding along the highway was more calm and fluid then erratic and aggressive. He was thinking on the hardest things for him to grasp at the moment and didn't avoid the heavy decisions attached to them. It wasn't all that hard with his heart more then silent for the time being. He was almost hoping he would never go back to normal. He didn't feel much but his own thoughts, and for every reason without feeling he was free. On the inside he knew it was an illusion. Something that wasn't meant to last. But he was going to use it for as long as he could to sort his thoughts out. And he was goign to enjoy his ride for as long as possible not even sure he'd return to the condo.

Alpha - Big Splash

Jack sat up on the sandy beach just before he dozed off. It wasn't a good thing to do not having put any lotion on. He stood up and waved at Raine in kind as she seemed to be setting up for the kind of relaxing that he himself could not make do with. He started stretching, which was quite a show with his ripped build. Several pops, and stretched out cramps later, he started towards the water and everybody else. He spotted Christian being his usual self, and so decided to stay where all the bikinis were for the moment. If Christian was going to join in he would eventually. Jack waded into the water slowly trying to keep his balance. At his height it took a while before the water reach his his chest. He rarely swam. In fact it's been ages. Least of all on a beach. He had to say though the clear water was extremely nice. Not like the muddy brown and clouded of Galveston the closest beach where he was from.

He turned to the others, Sophia, Madison, Leion, Vallon, and co. and started making his way over to join in the ensuing splash fight. He picked the closest and most grouped together set of targets and had to bend slightly to sink his forearm into the water. His wide hand made for an excellent natural paddle and with one swift upward flinging motion of his arm he sent water towards the group, like a catapult. He followed that up with his arm for good measure, then braced himself for whatever would come. It was all in good fun, the most he's had in only a short while, but welcome non the less considering the previous venture.
