Lysia looked at her paws after Hermes touched his nose to hers. A tremor went through her at his touch, along with more heat spreading across her face - up to her ears. Shuffling her paws on the soft earth, she continued to look down and avoid eye contact with Hermes.
Before she could reply that she didn't want to go back to sleep, a yawn escaped her maw. Despite sleeping for who knew how long, the female Ringtail still felt exhausted. She also knew that resting would help her to recover more quickly. ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ Flicking an ear, Krastil opened his eyes and yawned. Disoriented from sleep, the male didn't realize what had woken him up or remember much of what had occured recently. Glancing at his sibling out of the corner of his eye, the male realized she was awake.
Then the smells finally hit him. Lysia was still severely injured. Shifting, so that he was completely facing his twin, Krastil caught a flash of pink. Hermes was still here. And it seemed that he and Lysia had been talking. Something had obviously happened. His twin was looking at her paws shifting over the den floor - a sign of her becoming shy, which was odd since they knew Hermes...

Seeing Krastil waking from the corner of his eye, Hermes shifted his attention to him. I have given her some berries and water and asked her to rest more. Would you check the wounds and let me know if there is anything you need me to get for new dressings? Hermes asked Krastil trying to keep his voice calm and not run his words together too fast. He moved carefully and quickly to get out of the way so that Lysia's brother would have a clear view of her wounds. He didn't smell infection but he wanted Krastil to look as well so that he knew Hermes wasn't trying to hide anything or take his place in Lysia's life. He knew, somehow, that if Krastil refuted him Lysia would follow regardless of other feelings, family ties were strong with these two and he appreciated that.
