Melios the Hoplite

Yeah but they look similar to me.

That's because the Italians were heavily culturally influenced by the Greeks during the Roman period.

Well, Spain was right in the middle of Western Europe, and it had a lot of external influences from neighbouring countries, including those around the Mediterranean. It was particularly influenced by Romanization, as before that it was mostly a Celtic nation.

What? Why is Hypnos....black? That's racist! J'accuse! scream

mrgreen I know that's not what you meant, but incidentally, I have my reasons for my dark-skinned portrayal of Hypnos.

Aphrodite to Pasithea, from Nonnus, Dionysiaca:
"Ah, I know why your cheeks are pale : shadowy Hypnos, the vagabond, woos you as a bridegroom woos a maid! I will not compel you if you are unwilling; I will not join Hypnos the blackskin to Pasithea the lilywhite!’"

There we go, just updated the first page with articles and avatars featuring the Himation, the Exomis and the Khlamys. Jeepers, this thread isn't very on topic thus far, is it?
