Darkest laughs. "I could make you my pet. I've always wanted one that would come when I call. I can of course think of numerous things I could have you do. For instance, keeping the herd territory clear of humans. You said you were an excellent warrior, didn't you? It should be no problem them for you to keep them out." She gives an exaggerated sigh. "But I suppose if I don't save you then you wont be around to do what I want."
The rain was beginning to slacken off. With a crouch, Darkest takes to wing. Areion could hear her wings beating in the night as she rises over him then behind him. With enough speed behind her she comes at him from behind to bodily push him onto firm footing. If he wasn't ready for it, it could send him stumbling.
Once sure the stallion was on firm ground Darkest lands and gives herself a shake. "There. I've saved your life, now it belongs to me. I will find you some day and ask for a favor." Her eyes gleam dangerously. "A favor that you will Not turn down."
As she spoke it seemed to be getting lighter. She turns her head to catch the first glimmer of dawn through the parting clouds. As the sun creeps up the light reflects like fire off her eyes.

Areion takes a sharp breath as Darkest takes to the sky, wings flapping ominously. He begins to fall very slowly... But then finds himself almost flying through the air toward the other side of the path - the side with a wall. He slams headlong into it, the wind knocked out of him. He slides down it with a groan. "Be your pet, Darkest? You'd just get fed up with me. How about we just play the Slave-for-a-Day game?" he says pathetically, head still resting against the wall. "Or something?"
He did NOT want to owe that mare a favor. She was too much for him.
Areion turns toward the sun when he catches the fiery orb in his peripheral vision. He sighs. His head has begun to ache. He gets unsteadily to his feet and watches the sun begin to rise slowly. Darkest's eyes flash orange, and he tries to take a step down the trail, but only ends up half-collapsing again. He lays down. "Uh... I think I'll stay here for a while..." he whispers to himself. "Until my nerves calm down..."

Darkest looks away from the rising sun towards the stallion. "Guess I was a little rougher than I needed to be. At least you're not hanging half off a cliff now." That was the closest she'd come to apologizing to that stallion.
She prances over, almost coquettishly. "Indubitably I'd get bored with you. We'll see." She grins and chuckles. It sounds almost sympathetically. "Well I'm ready for a nap. How about you? Get up silly stallion. Lean on me and lets go back to the cave." Darkest stands beside him, if he doesn't rise right away she lowers her head to nudge him. She waits awhile and if he Still doesn't get up she gives him a sharp n**. "Up!"

"Yes, I suppose," he mumbles, eying her legs as she approaches. "I rather like my life. I think. But you're about to turn it into Tartarus, so..." Trailing off, Areion gets up slowly. There's no comfortable or non-painful way to go about it - his head feels about to split open now. Half-blind, he leans dizzily against Darkest.
"Slave-for-a-Day it is, then..." he says warily, and lets her lead him off to the cave.
((I think this is just about done... Maybe a separate RP for the Slave-for-a-Day game?))
