hmm... this question is a toughie... i would definitely love to date Rin, due to being a cute and powerful kitty ^-^ though i would watch out if okuu becomes jealous or if satori decides to read my mind xD

Okuu? I don't think so... just imagine what walking by her side or holding hands with her must be like. Her rock formation and her control rod (unless she can take it off; I think it's highly likely she can't) must be very, very cumbersome and bothering.

She's taken them off/put them on in a few doujins. Well, it was more like materializing or dematerializing but still!

Hmm... think about this:
According to SA's story, Kanako presented upon Utsuho the three-legged Sun god, the crow Yatagarasu; Okuu swallowed him and thus gained his power. ZUN said that the reason Utsuho has such a huge control rod is to resemble a third leg and thus symbolize the Yatagarasu power Utsuho acquired. He had already replaced unfittable traits with physical attire before; Yamame has six buttons on her chest to make up for the six eyes she's missing on her face. (Spiders have eight eyes, she has only 2, so...)
So, drawing Utsuho or even imagining her without the control rod is, in my opinion, like blowing the entire essence and backstory of the character away. Of course, it's perfectly fine to do it in doujin art for aestethic reasons, heh.
