With Iosef returning to his duties Cleite made her way over to Azalea, sitting down beside the green pup. "I hope you are minding your manners young one." She said in a quiet tone, though her eyes remained on the two slaves. If she was here she might as well oversee their work, and honestly she would be much more pleasant company for them than Azalea was.
About to make a comment about how could be possibly be hungry after such litter effort the pup noticed a shadow move over her. Azalea sneered a bit as the lynx sat down beside her. "Of course I am behaving Cleite. A princess must always be on her best behavior." Even if that was the case, Azalea was rarely on her best behavior. She couldn't help it if it brought her so much joy to pester the slaves. And since her mother didn't seem to care that she did so clearly it must be alright to do it. The other pack members were just jealous that's all, jealous that she was the princess and could do what she wished where as they had to follow stricter guidelines.

He smiled at Glacier, pleased at the pup's enthusiasm. "Well," he said, thoughtfully, standing upon the dirt mound and pressing his weight against the tree, checking to see how stable it was. It didn't bend much; the small culvert he had dug around the roots didn't seem to compromise the tree's stability much. "The tree doesn't look ready to uproot just yet, so we'll leave it standing. We'll just keep an eye out for the spiders, and if they decide to come back, we'll see about mixing up some poison...but for now, I don't think they'll bother us." He looked back down at Glacier, noting how the pup was seeming to grow almost before his eyes, and feeling an almost paternal pride swell inside him.
"Our next order of business, then, is to dispose of the remnants of our most recent kills. I noticed this morning that there's a few bones near the dens, and I don't want us attracting any unwanted pests, so we'd be best to dispose of that." He glanced at Cleite, making sure she had nothing else she preferred him to do, and then back to Glacier. "It'll be quick work, and then we can break for lunch, if you'd like."

Glacier thought about Iosefs proposed work for a few moments, ear tilting down somewhat at the thought of lugging around nasty half gnawed bones. It was probably his least favorite chore - for some reason he found the job humiliating and having to do it in front of Azalea would just make it worse.
Why did the others have to be so damn messy? Couldn't they just walk int the woods when they were done and deal with the bones then rather then leave them scattered about the den site? He had to take care of his - he didn't want to think about the fussing he would receive if he left messes laying about the den site - but Azalea could get away with it and many of the older sisters did too. it was wrong but Glacier was beginning to resent some of the lazier ones in their number. He hated Azalea most of all.
"Fine" He muttered in the morose tone of a clearly sulking pup.
