Any thought that she could have possibly strung together to make a form of reply to anything he had just said suddenly vanished the moment he took her duffel bag from her.
"Wh- wha- what are you doing with my bag?!" She rarely stuttered or sounded panicked. After a few moments passed she realized that he wasn't going to open it or mishandle it and that she just over reacted- his grin had given it away. "Please- please be careful. My entire life is in that bag..." and, she wasn't kidding either. It was enchanted and thus even her precious violin (case and all) could fit in there.
As she took hold of the crease of his arm that shouldered her bag she noticed his side. He hadn't mentioned it and she couldn't remember seeing it while 'swimming'- then again she didn't remember seeing much of anything but water while swimming. From the last time they met when Kay's feet had been messed up she knew that he was prideful and that it was best not to pry.
"It was entirely my dad's idea..." she said as she made her way back to their previous conversation before her brief moment of stupidity. She hopped that her admittance of it being her dad's idea didn't lead to further questioning.

"Carrying it." Kay gasped out like it was the most blasphemous thing ever, his pretend shock instantly fading into a wide, teasing grin. He wasn't going to do anything, she was just over reacting, again. "I figured, I'm just gonna hold it for you." While Switch never really carried a purse, he knew from TV that it was something girls tended to say - that their purse held their entire life.
Kay instinctively moved his torso a smidgen away from her when she held onto his arm; he tried to pass it off as changing his standing position. The new wounds, which rested on his left side, were still a little tender; while it probably wouldn't have hurt him if she touched them, it was instinct to move. A rather interesting instinct, as his tolerance for pain was so high...
"Oh. Well, you're still smart too. But your Chit just wants'ta protect his pretty little girl." The young Shaman said in understanding, nodding. Nahual, who had thus far been hiding, draped himself over his host's head to stare down at the usually unnoticed left side, flicking his tongue out at the girl. He smelt the metal of her daggers, and had to admit a mild amount of curiousity.
"So then I guess you've been practicing with them?" Kay guessed with a hum, looking around for the cab. "I've been workin' out too, gotta get stronger~!" Sure, his working out really only stemmed from his desire to literally pick up Faris; it bothered him that she had practically called him weak, even though she was teasing him.

When Kay shifted positions instinctively Tori reached out to touch him, to comfort him; however, she withdrew her hand before doing so. She had to keep mentally reminding herself of how prideful he was- they both were.
"More like he wants to make a point of how weak I am," she mumbled. "Mom wants me to make promises and dad wants me to have solutions... It is rather crazy," she said as she glanced down at her the ring on her wedding finger.
"Since we've both been working out when your better and I'm stronger we'll have to have a go then," she chuckled. Her mentioning him getting better was the only admittance she'd make to noticing that something was off with Kay. "I'll bet you though in he end I'll top you," she winked.
"I haven't forgotten about you," Tori said as she glanced over at Nahual and smiled. Further thought of 'teasing' the snake was put off as the cab pulled up in front of them.

"I'm sure they only do it to keep you safe." He assured her, looking down at her; luckily she was on his good side, and he didn't need to rely on what Nahual saw. He could see her just fine on his own! The ring on her finger was curious...but the conversation shifted before he could ask about it. When he was better?
"Better...? Oh, ah, you noticed, huh?" Of course she noticed, how could she not? Sighing, he stretched his right hand across his chest, lightly touching the claw wounds with his scarred finger tips. "Eh, I'm fine, don't worry about it; I'm pretty sure I could still take you, granted you didn't pull any low blows." Because there was one, fast way to down a guy; and in a real match, that was cheating! "Once you're rested, you're on." He grinned down at her, absolutely confident in what he had to say.
Nahual hissed at her in response; he would have preferred to have been forgotten about! It was her daggers that he was interested in, not her.
The cab pulled up and Kay stepped forward first, opening the door for Victoria to climb in.

Tori slightly wished she had picked a better dress- it was so hard to scoot and remain lady like with so little! Of course to her so little was still down to her ankles with a bit of fluff. This dress, however, didn't have sleeves. It was one of her spaghetti strap dresses. It was just to hot to go for anything more covering.
After a bit of fuss between dress and shoes she was sitting behind the cab driver. "Thank you," she said as she glanced at Kay. Her hands were still making a fuss over her dress.
"The Melting Pot, please," she said after Kay was in the cab and sitting. It was also at this point that she was reaching for her duffel bag so that she could fetch her change purse. She wanted to be ready when they arrived.
After a nod of the cab drives head she again turned her attention to Kay and Nahual. "I look forward to the day we have go," she winked.
She wasn't exactly sure when there would be a point that she wasn't tired. Thankfully for her, her graduation was in her horizon as far as 'normal' studies went. Also, there was only a couple more sign language classes. That meant that only exhausting things left would be dagger training and the teen orchestra.
"Kay, I always notice when something is wrong with you. Most of the time I just say nothing at all because I know how prideful you are," she smiled as she twisted her finger into one of her fallen curls. "For the most part I think before I act. I do what I feel would please a person most."

Kay climbed into the back with her once she was inside, sitting down without so much as a flinch, letting her go through her bag before taking it back, leaving it with him in case she decided that she wanted to carry it herself. Nope, wasn't allowed!
Her words...were meaning something else to the young man, and while he was sure that she didn't mean what he one day hoped she meant with those words, it was fun to pretend. It made him grin like an idiot, which luckily...wasn't too far off his normal grin. While he was curious as to where they were going, he wasn't going to say anything about it; it was a surprise still, kind of.
"Ah...Well...you don't have to not say anything. I don't mind questions." He informed her matter-of-factly. The part about pleasing a person also shoved his mind into the gutter, but he managed to salvage it before it stayed there any longer. "That's great and all, Tori, but maybe you should...not think. You know, for something different. Going on a whim is a lot of fun." It was...pretty much how he lived his life.

Victoria noticed the slightly different grin before it was 'corrected'. She wasn't exactly sure what she had said to trigger it. What ever it was that she had done to trigger it she hoped she could accomplish it again some time. Though a bit goofy it was more fitting.
"I followed my whim today you know," she said matter of factly. "Had I gone home instead of deciding to change course and go to the swimming pool I'd have never met up with you today," she winked. "However, normally I have to go with structure rather than whim.. or, else I wouldn't be able to handle my life."
"I'll remember that you don't mind me asking questions so that when I pry a little to much I can say I told you so," she chuckled and stopped playing with her curl. She folded her hands in her lap.

Victoria's bag was trapped between Kay's side and the door to the cab, and the young man hovered protectively over it by leaning his elbow on the door frame, his cheek resting on his scarred palm. She happened to be sitting on the side where his good eye could see her, and he stared out the corner at her, partially smiling onto his hand.
"Once ain't gonna do it pretty girl...If I didn't promise to take you where you wanted, I'd be showin you how much fun it is to act on impulses." While it was true, he seemed to strike his own perverted cord in himself, and with a chuckle he bit the inside of his lip. Well, this was awkward. He couldn't remember being so gutterminded for so long before!
"Eeeh, nobody's ever asked me anythin' that I thought was pryin too much." He drawled out, leaning his head to the side to scratch at his neck, gaze elsewhere in thought. Every question he'd ever been asked, that he could remember anyway, hadn't been too much. He'd readily given the answers, or even offered up the question himself. Like the time he saw that little girl's Father torn up in the street...he just spewed everything to Switch, the moment he got home. The question didn't even need to be asked.
"Pretty open I guess, not much t'hide with me." Shrugging, he drew his attention back to the pretty redhead beside him, leaning over just that little bit to thread his fingers through that curl of hers. "What about you, hmm? Ever had a question like that?"

Tori took in a deeper breath than intended as Kay leaned in closer and played with her curl. She couldn't help but to feel as though they weren't the same two 'little kids' that had fallen asleep on the bed sometime ago... it wasn't experience, at least not on her part... or age... it was just something, at least for now, unexplainable.
"I prefer not to lie," Victoria finally said. "However, I don't often just volunteer information. If not asked then it cannot be said that I lied, or stretched the truth," she smirked.
"My last whim... impulse as you put it sent me chasing a white rabbit," she giggled. It had been a long time since the first time. She really didn't know if she'd do it again but the thought of it was still fun to think about... she missed her 'white rabbit'.

"I don't get it." Kay said honestly; though he'd been pretty distracted by the pretty girl next to him. "But I'll assume that ya mean if I were to ask, you'd probably tell me." Shrugging a little bit, his head tilted a bit at the next part. White Rabbit? That didn't make sense...but it was really not something he cared to keep on his mind.
Kay's hand had faltered a bit once he heard that sharper inhale of hers. The hesitation only lasted a moment before he brushed his rough fingers against her soft skin, gently sliding that curl behind her ear. He was watching her pretty intently now, torn between wanting something and being unsure of how to get it, nevermind if he should or not. As older as Victoria came off, she was still younger than him. As much as he wanted to, he didn't want to make anything weird between them.
The Shaman had it in his head that the strange tension between them was in his imagination alone, apparently. But still...that didn't mean he couldn't try. They had been talking about questions, right? It was totally in context, what he had in mind to ask. "But...I have'a question for ya." Before he asked her though, he brushed his knuckles against her smooth cheek, his fingers turning to idly brush through a lock of her hair once more.
"...What would you do if someone like me tried to kiss you?"

Kay's actions made her very sure that they weren't the little kids who had innocently slept together. Thankfully she wasn't 'missing' so her dad wouldn't come 'busting' through any doors to ruin this moment.
At the question of being kissed Tori couldn't help herself, she started to giggle. She probably shouldn't have. But after yesterday and the 'go' in he cafe... well, what does one say? "I just go with it," she said with a wink. "Though I'll admit yesterday was a little involuntary. Confused us both, but I'm sure we both enjoyed it." Suddenly she was shifting her eyes and turning red. She hoped that Kay wouldn't think terrible things of her for that. She really should have thought before speaking but it was like she said... she couldn't lie.
Her eyes slowly shifted back towards Kay. "Since you said I can ask anything... Are you asking because you want to kiss me?" Her voice was soft and subtle. By the time 'me' left her lips hers were very close to Kay's. It was remarkable that she wasn't in his lap. Though if the cab driver looked in the mirror he would think it odd how she had 'twisted' herself.

Kay...wasn't sure what to make of her giggling. Completely thrown off guard, his head tilted a bit in confusion, staring at her like she was completely mental. Yesterday? Both? Baffled, he just stared at her until she decided to make sense again. Victoria didn't have to fear him judging her; he'd done his fair share of things he probably shouldn't at his age.
In the end, things started to make sense again when she blushed, or when she spoke and so sneakily ended up closer to him. Kay was not wearing a seatbelt, and had in fact shifted his body to face hers a little easier. His red eye stared down at her, a little smile on his lips. Well...apparently it was a day for questions.
"Yes." He stated simply, quietly since her face was so close to his. Once more his fingers brushed her pale flesh, this time gently placing his hand against the side of her neck, his thumb brushing her cheek. "May I kiss you, Victoria?" He asked her just as quietly, using her full name for pretty much the first time.

Victoria didn't pay any attention to the quick change in expressions on Kay's face. She knew it was due to her giggle fit and what she had to say. In the end it was working out, probably, better of than either planned.
"Yes you may," she whispered.
She reached out again but this time she didn't stop. She ran a finger from his belly button up to chest. She was practically purring. Finally she had several fingers under his chin.
"If you don't hurry up though I'll be the on instigating the kiss... especially if you touch my strings." She wasn't exactly sure what had made her tell that bit of information but she half hoped he would pick up on the hint.

Her permission made him smile, his gaze dropping to focus on her lips. He had been about to do so when she touched him, and instead found himself shivering lightly, a low rumble echoing in his throat. Strings? Ah, he'll keep that in mind, definitely. His free arm moved to press against the back of the seat to brace himself while the hand that had been on her neck moved to grip her chin, however gently.
Kay closed the short distance between them, brushing his lips lightly against hers at first as though testing the waters, so to speak. With a soft breath he pressed his lips fully against hers, the hand on her chin ghosting down her throat to brush across her shoulder, finally coming to a stop with a light grip to her upper arm. For now, he just kissed her gently; the moment she wanted to stop, it would regretfully end...but until then...

She grinned wickedly as she sent him shivering. She couldn't explain it but it was thrilling, almost game like- cat and mouse.
Her breath hitched when he touched her neck. She couldn't remember it being this intimate with Evari, mater of fact that had been rather spur of the moment and rushed. She liked both, but this had an edge about it.
It felt like forever as she waited those few seconds. Then she felt it- his lips against hers. Her eyes slipped shut and she shivered, something within her stirred. This excited her, made her want (demand) more. She moved her fingers away from his chin and with both hands caressed his cheeks before tangling into his hair... caught up in the moment she wasn't paying attention to Kay's attached 'pet'. With everything in her she pulled him closer and deepened what he'd started.
