 Behind Diesel opened up a familiar boundary and out of it stepped an equally familiar face, Yukari Saigyouji. Her expression was not of it's usual smile, but now of a look of worry. She tapped Diesel on the shoulder and spoke low but audible, "Diesel, it's me. I'm sorry for fleeing the scene before. Keine hid her reiatsu, and I could not sense her until it was too late. If she saw me, it would put everything in jeopardy. She must not know that I am seeing you. I'm so sorry about Ryuta, but I do not think I would have been of much help." Now her hand was reste don his shoulder and her expression firm and serious. "I want to make it up to you. I offer my services to you and the Gotei 13 in any way I can. I'm sure Squad 12 would love to have their own personal Arrancar to study and as you know, my abilities in particular are very special. I just ask for one thing in return..."

Diesel turned to look at Yukari and he didn't react to her apology, only listened "I don't plan to hand you over to squad 12 unless you want to go there." he had his hands in his robes but one rested on his sword as he spoke to Yukari "What do you want?"

Yukari paused for a moment and sighed. She had a feeling of how the soul king would react to her bargain. "All I want...is to know where the object in which my powers were sealed was hidden. I know it is in your records. I did not go and look for it because I want you to trust me. I know this seems like a trick, but I'm being honest. I can work as your double agent in Hueco Mundo. I'm very close to Keine, so she will trust me and tell me many things. If need be, I will prove that I am not lying. So, do we have a deal, Diesel?" She saw in the corner of her eye that the royalty had his hand on his blade. This was bad. If he did not believe her, things could get very hectic...

Diesel tapped his fingers on the top of his sword, watching her carefully "Sealed powers? If thats true...I warn you now. If you betray me, I will do something about it." he didn't plan to kill her. No but if she betrayed him, Yukari would find herself at the mercy of...Keine. Diesel was not above going to his enemies when they had a mutual hatred for something "I'll escort you to records, shall I?" he held out his arm for her to take but kept one hand on his sword.

Yukari couldn't believe her ears. She could hug him right now, but she knew that would be hasty. All she did was give a grateful smile and bow her head. "Thank you, your majesty. I swear I will not betray you. You have my word." With that she slowly extended her arm and took his.

"I hope not. You're rather beautiful and I'd like to work with you, not against you." Diesel lead the way as they left, signing to Kai that he should follow them to records.

Diesel stepped down into the gardens and let Stefan go. The small boy instantly raced off to chase some birds and Diesel sat down, relaxing and watching. He smiled as his son ran about, enjoying the freedom of not having to be fearful I wish this would last... he thought.

Yukari entered the gardens behind the two and sat down next to Diesel. She watched Stefan play and spoke to his father, not looking over at him. "It must be nice being able to see him play like that for once. You get to finally be a real father to him in a place where he will be safe. Must feel good inside, eh?"

Diesel smiled carefully and shrugged "He's been staying with his grandparents since I became head of Royal Squad. I promised that the next time I saw him, I'd bring him here." he glanced at her as Stefan bounced up and down, trying to catch a bird that few over head "He was never really safe adn I don't think he will be. I'm just glad I can watch over him now."
Stefan came racing back and slid to a stop infront of them, holding something behind his back. He rocked back and forth, smiling widely at the two of them, not saying a word.

What are you doing, Stefan? Diesel signed at his son who then threw flowers at him. He sighed as Stefan raced off again, laughing, and dusted flowers off his head and robes "So what do you want to eat?" he asked Yukari, tilting his head to glance at her.
Stefan was climbing one of the trees now, easily pulling himself up with slim but strong arms.

Yukari giggled as Stefan pelted his father with flowers. She looked at Diesel with an optimistic smile. "He'll be safe, don't worry. When the war breaks out, it won't make its way here, I promise." She thought about what to eat as she watched Stefan climb up a tree. He was surprisingly strong for someone so young. Yukari finally shrugged and replied to Diesel, "Eh, anything's fine. I'm not picky at all. Make whatever you think will impress me the most~"

"Hmph." Diesel thought for a moment then stood "I'll be back then." he vanished in a quick shunpo.
Seeing his father was gone, Stefan leapt out of the tree and landed with an umph. He dusted his pants off then rushed over to Yukari, skidding to sit in front of her, grinning Hello! he signed quickly and happily. There weren't any females where he'd grown up so all he'd ever seen of girls was his grandmother. Seeing someone as young in appearence as Yukari fascinated him What are you now? You're not like you were before, right?

Yukari blinked for a moment as Diesel left so suddenly. "Leaving Stefan all alone like that? He must really trust me then..." Speaking of which, she noticed Stefan running over to her. She waved hello back at him and smiled. It had been a long time since she had seen any children. Sure, Memnoch and Keine were like children to her, but they weren't actually kids. She thought about his question for a moment, thinking of a way to say it in which he would understand. She finally figured out what to say and signed back at him I used to be a monster in a way. Thanks to your father though, I'm more like you and him and not a monster.

Stefan blinked then tilted his head one way, then the other way. Then he stood and walked around Yukari before sitting back down in front of her But you're pretty. How could you be a monster? he was thinking of the monster's he'd seen in books his grandfather had read to him, strange shaped creatures that hid under beds. I don't think you were a monster ever. If you were, papa wouldn't be so nice to you.

Yukari looked down at her hands in her lap, thinking about what Stefan signed. Why exactly did Diesel trust her? He could have killed her at any moment he wanted to, but instead he helped her. It didn't make much sense, but she was still ever so grateful to him for doing it anyway. She looked back to the boy and signed back I was a very different kind of monster. Some monsters are pretty so they can trick people. Your papa knew better though. He saw the good in me and saved me.
