Good catch, he was learning. "I used to have a family to, and over time, I began to realize that the people in the word are nothing more then liars and crooks who will take advantage of one another whenever they can and be wearing a fake smile while they do it. At least here you can count on us being honest about our human nature, we're a team, and we're organized." Still softy smiling at him, she lifted her head back up. laying her hands on the table "If I get stabbed in the back by someone here, at least it wouldn't surprise me." "So I guess thats what Rocket means to me. we don't need to lie to ourselves here."

Liam thought that was an oddly cynical view of the world... but was she really wrong? His own parents had been killed by a bunch of strangers just so they could get a measly amount of produce and a few pieces of gold. "Th-that's... true, ma'am. Unfortunately, that's true." As she said, he wasn't going to hide his opinion. She was right, and he hated that she was right, but that didn't change the facts. And, just as he was finishing, a bell rang from somewhere close by. As if he was back in school, Liam knew this to mean everyone should get out of the cafeteria. Seemed like it was time to get back to work. Oh well, at least he had met someone new? "O-oh... my... I guess we have t-to... you know, go? Th-thank you for your company, mi- I mean, uh... Faleen." he bowed with his tray in his hand, his hair tickling the top of his now empty plate. "I-I hope we meet again."

"I need to get back to my station as well" rising to her feet gingerly, the movement causing her Umbreon next to her to sit up and jump off the chair. Gathering the books up in to a neat pile for her to carry, she then moved her attention to the trainee as he got ready to leave himself. The Grunt smiled gently at Liam before holding her hand out to him. "it was good to meet you Liam, good luck with your training, and welcome to the team. I'm sure we'll see each other around"
