At the least they took her offerings without some sort of weird glare; and she wouldn't have blamed them if their mother's treatment was as bad as it sounded. Merrill eventually looked to Corvus with a nod. "No problem, really," she said, sniffling. "Thing is, will they let us near them? They've been getting antsy it looks each time a girl goes near them." Sure, they'd have to get over it at some point or another (so she hoped), but forcing a pup to do so much in one day was hardly what she wanted to do.
She leaned down to address the pups. "We can help take you to your father's den if you want. It's not far from here at all, but you two look dead on your feet. I promise that sick or not, my bite's not bad."
