Sonia clambered on to the cup edge leaning down to drink some more wings flapping as she claimed it as her perch.

"Sonia." Kahlin he said exhusvated. "Rikk would be attacking the food and reaking havoic." He looked at R'ael. "How about I come with you? It will be good to know where the food is coming from specialy with Sonia." He looked at the flit.

Rinfala grinned crookedly. "Sounds like a plan. Who knows, maybe we'll be able to pick up a couple of cute guys to celebrate with, eh?" She winked.

R'ael grins broadly at this question. "A blue, his name is Jaiereth, he's staying out from under foot for the moment. "So it's R'ael now..." He glances down at the contented dog and back at Caleten. "So are you keeping that tallent here and working with the beasts around the weyr, or will you do something else?" He asks curiously.

(edit/add on) "If you'd like." He nods in response. "Though you're in your rights to snap your fingers and send me scurrying off to get it. We are playing waiter today." He grins in good humor. "And I haven't broken anything yet, so...good start..."

M'xan smiled as he observed the festivities. There was a fair amount of people here, with the number steadily increasing as the day went on. Far more than there had been at the Turnover festival directly after the plague. A frown marred his face as he thought about that. Good riders had died during that epidemic, many who were experianced leaders. Their loss had a significant impact on the Weyr, even though they had many new transfers to fill the ranks.

Dwell on the past later, and enjoy the day, mine. Enelth rumbled from above. M'xan nodded and gazed back out at the crowd.

I will, Enelth, no need to worry.

Nevaeh laughed and nodded. "Well of course! What guy could resist the charm of two women like us, eh?" Nevaeh said giggling like a teenage candidate. She was too happy for her own good today but it was the turns end who wouldn't be happy? "So where shall we go first?" Nevaeh asked regaining her composure and trying to make herself look cool.

Kahlin hid a grin thinking of R'ael scurrying off. "Well lets make sure you don't break anything by me snapping my fingers." He wasn't use to the idea of being waited on it felt strange.

Caleten considered the question and responded, "I was Searched, I have no intent in staying and doing anything here." She stated that and went back to drinking a little bit listing to what they were saying.

She believed she wouldn't be there for long but did remember the new names said to her.

(Edit again)
"Thats a shame then...I'm sure your skills will be missed...although if you'll excuse me I'll show Kahlin where the drinks are..."

R'ael moves to head back toward the table, to show Kahlin where he'd gotten the drinks from, and to keep a better eye out for people that wanted something delivered to them, studying the croud and the people in it. It's going to be quite a party, and hopefuly fun even if he is ferrying trays and drinks around all morning. Certainly a good way to learn new faces that he hasn't met yet.

Caleten laughed into her drink, her shining personaility wouldn't be missed that for sure. Already, she had stayed too long and she began to wonder if there even was a runnerbeast stall anywhere near the area.

Dem'or whinned a moment to get her attention and she then put an hand down to pet the puppy.

A whole year had gone by, and it really didn't seem like much time had passed at all. The sounds of people down below in the weyr bowl were already beginning to pick up, and having sent the Weyrlings off just an hour before to help with the waiting staff and serve drinks and food, Farin found herself preparing for the general grind of being public once again. This time however, she was actually expected to make an appearance, which was quite stressful.

The woman paced, thrumming her fingers through her blonde hair as she attempted to calm it down a bit before heading off for the main event. She was in a state of half dress, still tying the various clasps of the long yellow dress. It was a truly audacious color for the dark woman to be wearing, and never had she worn that color to any sort of event before. Surprisingly however, this new position brought about the perks of people actually wishing for her to wear their clothes, and she'd had for the dress sent over a couple of days beforehand. She was used to her traditional green or purple, and spinning herself around, she had a hard time deciding if she liked the color or not.

You are going to make yourself sick. Commented Moth, after about five minutes of constant turning around in circles on the part of her rider. Luckily for the pair- dragon riding had done well for Farin's stomach constitution, and all the spinning had not yet caused anything to be upset.

"I'm not making myself sick." Farin remarked, and patted her belly. One thing dragonriders never had to worry much was being fat. But like any woman- she still wasn't happy.

Everyone is almost arrived. You don't want to make a bad impression. Moth rumbled, and Farin noted it was quite an odd reflection on the part of the green.

"Yes, well, I'm going." Farin grumbled, and pulled on a pair of sandals. They didn't match the dress, but she contained herself to wearing them. As soon as it seemed apparent she would be leaving, Fleckin and Vera sidled themselves onto either shoulder, Fleckin winning ownership of the right, and preferable shoulder.

She wasn't too pleased to have her horde coming with her, but couldn't help but remember that Fleckin had just been a hatchling last year. So many things had changed...

"Well, we shall be off then?" She spoke to the pair, who squeaked. Moth rumbled her pleasantries from somewhere in her room.

I suspect you will behave yourself around wine.

Farin ran a finger through her hair. As a matter of fact, she planned to this year. Not that she had made a fool of herself last year, but she had been known to on occasion.... And that certainly wouldn't be a good impression for the Weyrlings. Above all however- she meant to watch that they were on their best behavior. And for their own good- better behaviour then the candidates.

With that, the woman turned, and shut the door to the Weyrling master's chambers closed. It wasn't long before she scaled the four flights downstairs, and carefully made her way down the center of the weyr bowl's main path.

Kahlin followed R'ael glancing around hoping to find a spot to keep out of other people way or perhaps find someway to help R'ael out..hmm what would they do if someone just picked up a tray and started waiting on others. He laughed imaging it.

The MasterWeaver moved around, making his hellos to everyone. He had yet to say hello to M'xan who had once again regained leadership of the weyr. He had not disliked the man and all their meetings had been professional.

Noting the different colors and cuts, he was pleased to see many garments from his own Hall. Hopefully, when he caught up with Ephia and M'xan, they would be able to discuss the latest versions of his thread-resistant vests.

Moranis had asked permission to attend the Gather much earlier than WeaverHall normally went. He had asked Taakya (sp) to meet him near the kitchen area and hoped that she would indeed come to the gather. His father had given him a handful of WeaverMarks and told him to stay away from the wine. Especially the Benden.

Practically skipping, the teen tried to take in all the sights and sounds at once as he hoped for a certain someone to meet up with him.

Caleten watched the people around her. It pleased her that she was wearing her normal long thick dark green wool garment where most were dressed for the occastion. Still, she scolded herself because she might stand out. Or perhaps not look worht noticing.

Dem'or was still chewing and she'd make her leave when he was done.

Like the other weyrlings, L'mur had been busy in the kitchens, setting places in the Hall, cleaning, changing glows, and a dozen other tasks that had been relegated to the newest riders.

More and more guests were beginning to arrive, and L'mur was ordered up to the Bowl. With a large wine-skin in one hand and a platter of meatrolls in the other, he made his way through the crowd, nodding at familiar faces, ready to refill any goblets and offer snacks to hungry weyrfolk.

Kalya came in in her green gather dress, newly cleaned and pressed. One day she must talk to the weaver about getting a new as she did not have the time to make her own anymore. She looked down at the older material and tugged it slightly.

You look fine Kal Tarlith rumbled quietly in her mind as he settled down in the weyr. He wasn't one for loud noises and so stayed in a spot that was still warm from the sun to doze in.

"I know... I just wish I had something new to wear." The dragonrider sighed slightly before she took a step into the bowl and looked around for familiar faces.
