Fig Ivy I don't get bullied physically 'cause I'm big and crazy looking... This and also one guy caught me when I was having a really s**t day, like sick to the point of constant nose-bleeds and headache and he slammed my books out of my hand and began to rofl at me. I delivered the swiftest head butt I have ever given to his face, picked up my books, and continued to class. True story. Don't ******** with me when I am sick I do not have patience for that s**t.

I believe the reason people are being bullied is because they allow others to bully them. Really. And I'd been bullied myself before I realized that. Everyone tells you "just ignore them", when in fact what you need to do is telling them to shove it.
A year ago I spent a night at the beach with my friends. Friends had their friends there, who brought their own friends, all in all, we were almost 30 people there, many were still in high school. We were minding our own business and having fun, and then a bunch of 16 year old ******** from their school came up and started picking on them and being mean to them. I'm not a big person. I'm short and slim, there's nothing threatening about me. But when I just calmly and assertively told them they were stupid, uninteresting and should ******** off, they left without saying a single word to me. They weren't scared I'd DO anything to them, but if they see you're stronger than them, mentally, all the fun is gone.
What stroke me the most about this was the fact we were about 30, they were maybe 3, and those kids didn't say anything to them. They were SCARED of them or something. They just took it. It annoyed me like crazy, and when I told them off they were acting the same way.
Don't get it.

It annoyed me like crazy, and when I told them off they were acting the same way. Don't get it. Yeah, agreed. All of my friends tend to get bullied by this one dipshit, but when I moved here they warned me about him and when he tried to bug me I slapped him. Not strongly, and only on his hand, but just more of the fact that I calmly and assertively told him not to touch my s**t kept him away. Nowadays he leaves me alone and he leaves my friends alone when I'm around.
I agreed with BK up to the point that she said "the girl was so pathetic that I started shoving her around". Ok, maybe it is sort of weak and dumb to accept being bullied or be upset by it, but compounding their problems doesn't help them or anyone. Give them a chance to stand up to the people who bother them, leave them alone long enough to let them develop their backbone, don't make it worse for them, thats just mean and unnecessary.
