Aer felt bad. She smiled at Ganesha and trotted towards him. She gently nudged him to get moving so they could eat. "I know the bestest spot!"

Ganesha cheered up with her gentle nudge. Maybe she'd forgiven him. He pushed out of his mind the little voice saying that maybe deer had wings and could fly, since it seemed to want to rain on his parade. He grinned. "Where is this spot?" he asked eagerly.
(Is that a Zui basket I see in your sig? 8D)

Aerlinniel beamed with a brightness to rival the sun. She would lead him to her favorite spot. It was just a couple of miles away (not that she knew what miles were, but she heard the two-legger in their teepee use it often) and would be a nice walk. Turning to Ganesha she nodded her head to the west and said, "This way, come on!"

Ganesha grinned and hurried after Aer. "I'm coming," he replied cheerfully. He pranced on his cloven silver hooves after her, eager to see this place she was so eager to show him. He was sure, since it was a place Aer was showing him, that it would be wonderful.

It didn't take very long to get there. Humming the entire time. Bits and pieces of different songs could be heard as they made their way towards a field full of flowers and one lone apple tree. "Here we are. My favorite place."
She hummed something new, something that had been running in her head. She wasn't quite sure how words fit to it just yet, so she just...hummed. She'd work it out later.

Ganesha smiled as they reached the apple tree and the flower-flecked field. It was really beautiful, really beautiful and sweet, just like Aer. "I can see why it's your favorite place. It's just like you, sweet and beautiful." He stepped past her reverentially and paused to look back when he heard her lovely voice humming some tune. "Does that tune have a name or words?"

Aer shook her head no. There were no words just yet and she was about to tell Ganesha so, then he complimented her and the special spot. Her thoughts jumbled and she blushed dark purple and stuttered as she attempted to reply.

Gane had lowered his head to sniff at a flower when he noticed the silence. He paused, lifting and cocking his head. "What did you say--?" he asked, turning to face her. His voice caught in his throat when he saw the blush, and his thoughts scrambled as he tried to figure out what was wrong. "Aer, are you OK?" he asked in the voice of someone who's concerned but has absolutely no idea of how to react and is panicking as a result.

Aer nodded and smiled shyly at Ganesha. It would be a little bit longer before her sudden shyness would let her speak. She indicated that the colt should follow her to where the flowers smelled sweetest.
In a sudden attempt at flight, she leaped up and hovered ever so briefly before coming down again. For some reason, being around Ganesha made her feel lighter than air.

Gane watched her brief flight as he moved to follow her. His eyes grew round with wonder, as he'd never seen her fly, and...well...at a glance, it had seemed impossible that such fragile and beautiful wings could bear the weight of a Soquili, even for brief periods of time.
He realized as she was landing that his jaw had dropped, and he hastily lifted it, to cover how much of a bumpkin he must be, even though he was still very young, and didn't necessarily know everything.

Aerlinniel had never managed to lift off the ground before so she beamed at having managed the feat on her own. Turning, she giggled and danced around Ganesh.
"Did you see?! Did you see?! I got up a little!" She was pleased and delighted, completely forgetting her manners and nuzzled the colt with her. When she realized what she had done, her eyes widened and she backed away slowly with a blush painting her cheeks.

Gane would have blushed ferociously at the gesture...if he hadn't done something similar just a few moments ago. As it was, he settled for a soft blush and a smile. "I saw," he said softly. "It wasn't very long or very high, but it still looked wonderful."
He didn't realize he was on the point of laughing happily until a half-swallowed snort escaped his lips and nostrils. He tried hurriedly to cover it, with a sheepish smile.

Aer giggled and dances over to her favorite little apple tree. It was tiny and so were the apples, but for the foals....it was perfectly sized. "Ganesha! Over here, come see!" She smiled and lipped at one of the little sour apples, crunching on it happily. "Mmm! It's perfect and sour. Yummy!"

Gane laughed and followed her, picking up one of the sweeter, riper windfalls. He rather liked the touch of sweetness and tangyness to it and grinned as he swallowed it. "Definitely delicious. What are they called?" he asked, a little sheepishly.

Aer shrugged slightly, "I dunno. Other than apples... I'm not sure what they're called." She thought about it for a minute longer, "I'll ask Papa when I go home. He might know what their name is." The filly crunched on another apple as she thought.
