Second Barthandelus battle was a toughy. Definitely fun and exciting, but my controller kept disconnecting (usually it only did that whenever I Stagger'd something, but it was ridiculous here o.o), especially when my main character was close to dying (thankfully Vanille was usually a Medic).

I had trouble with the Undying, mainly because I screwed up my Gambits (made them try use an Arise gambit when they didn't have the MP and I didn't notice for a long time ._.) and not knowing how to properly deal with palings.

Chaos from Dissidia was ridiculous. It took me leaving the story to grind a lot in Quick Duel to about level 75-80 (and he stayed at level 48 hur hur).

I would have to say two people/demons.
Chaos- I'm not even going to go there
Jecht- He was impossible I had to leave and go get yojimbo just to beat him and I had to have rikku learn auto-life because her weapon at the end is one mp cost and that save you a bunch of mp but that besides the point these are the two hardest bosses.

I don't understand... >.> I was a lvl. 50 I think? I didn't grind at all. Just a straightforward shot. When I fought him I died once just to figure out his patterns, then just dodged everything. Then I kept breaking him which is fun ;D But I was using Titus so idk if he's cheap or not. I use Squall too cause he's fun

I beat Seymour Omnis in one try...
I thought Yunalesca was going to be hard, what with her three ugly forms and all, but I beat her on my first try... My friend is actually still stuck fighting Isaaru in Bevelle xP
I would say the hardest boss would have to be Jecht/Braska's Final Aeon because that's where I am stuck now and have been for like 4 months already. I just cannot kill him! I can kill his first form easy, but the second form kills me when he only has like 2k left... scream

ME: I've got about 35 coliseum superbosses in FFX that earn this toughest boss rank

*gets tapped on the shoulder*

*Penance from FFX Pal Version is glaring at me and in front of him is 8 dark versions of the aeons*

ME: sweatdrop but they are nothing compared to their master Penance and his 8 dark lords of the Aeons *quickly gets into a respectful position and bows*

In FFI you know the side quest dungeons they added in the new releases? Yeah, deathguise. I literally beat him by a hair. All of my men were dead except for my black mage who had one HP, and thank GOD I gave him an elven cloak because he blocked the ONE TIME deathguise decided to use a physical attack instead of nuking me to hell. Then I used a phoenix down on my healer, used her to revive my red mage, had the two of them revive my other two guys and then used a megaelixer. And then I won. =D

Also: Wiegraf and Velius from FFT. No explanation needed. At all.

Don't feel bad, Braska's final Aeon is actually on my list of hardest bosses. I can beat him easily now, but the first time is always a PAIN!!!

Looks like it's time for another top 5 list. This list includes any and every boss fight, not just the main boss fights, though I don't think any main boss fights made it on my list. Anyways, here are the bosses I had thee hardest time with.

5. Don Tonberry FFX- In the monster arena you get the chance to take on thee toughest Tonberry I've ever faced in any FF game. Don Tonberry was thee hardest thing to come out of that arena, though some would argue he was technically not a boss, he was tougher than anything else I fought in that game. But since he's not a mandatory fight, and technically not a boss to some people he gets the #5 spot on my list.

4. Ruby Weapon FFVII- Another non-mandatory boss, but boy was he hard to beat. Emerald weapon was difficult as well, but where I found a way to beat him relatively easily after a while, Ruby has always remained a pain in the a**, arguably thee hardest in any FF game, but like Don Tonberry, since he's optional and not mandatory he ranks lower than my top three who are all mandatory boss fights.

3. Sorceress Adel FFVIII- In FFVIII I coasted all the way through the game easily til I ran into Sorceress Adel. With her sucking the life out of Rinoa and me not able to use my toughest AoE attacks to beat her made the fight really challenging. Of course through the first part of the game I was letting the computer auto assign the spells I drew cause I didn't really care about learning how to properly assign drawn spells into stats. Once I decided to learn how to properly utilize them and re-organized all my spells into different abilities Adel became easy to beat. But I've lost to her so many times before I got to that point.

2. Chaos FF Dissidia- This guy was a pain in the a** to beat. I first went through the game as Zidane, had to level him to 100 before I was able to beat him, and even then it took countless amount of tries before I got it done. I might have ranked him #1, but I recently went through as Cecil and whooped Chaos on the first try. That one encounter with Cecil knocked Chaos down a peg to #2, leaving my #1 hardest FF boss...

Honorable mentions- Orphan 2nd form(I'm embarrassed to include this boss after I found out how easy it is to defeat her, but I chalk this one up to me overlooking the easiest/simplest way to do so and leading to countless battles with her. Once I realized the best way to beat her she was a push over and I was kicking myself in the butt over it for a long time.) Odin FFXIII, Yunalesca FFX, Zeromus FFIV

1. Wiegraf/Velius FFT- Every other boss on this list I have found the proper way to defeat them and not fear them in future encounters, even if they are still a pain in the butt. But Wiegraf remains thee only boss in all of FF that even if I've beaten several times before, I always fear fighting him more than anything else whenever I replay any Final Fantasy. A boss who can install that level of fear in me even if I can beat him is more than deserving to be #1 on my list.
