"What is. . . licorice?" Illidan asked, brow furrowing slightly. "I've never heard of that."

"It's hard to explain.... I'd have to find some of this plant to give you a clue.. it's sweet but.. the sent is hard to break down.." She frowned some. "But it's really quite yummy...."

"I will take your word for it," Illidan said, chuckling. He shifted his weight and looked up at the sky. "It's late, Shoshana. You will be missed soon, won't you?" He looked back at the mare.

Shaking her head she laughed. "Nope.. I'm usually out at all hours.. sometimes my human doesn't see me for days... Most know that I wonder far and wide so they expect me to be missing for a lengthy period of time." She shuffled her front hooves some. "But if you need to be some where I'll take my leave and continue on my night time adventure."

"I have no where to go and no where to bed," Illidan said, shrugging. "I am merely concerned for your welfare. The forest can be dangerous at night, as I'm sure you know."

"Ah. Yeah it has it's creepy crawlies but nothing that concerns me too much.. else I would never venture out at night from the safety of my normal secluded sleeping area." She couldn't help but to let our a bemused chuckle. "But thanks for looking out for me.. you've got to be only the second one to ever really show any concern for my.... adventurous side.. Especially around evening and night." She shrugged some. She really didn't see why she should bee to fearful of the other more evil soquili out there. She'd been out at night several times in worse situations than simply being tangled up before so she wasn't all too worried. Cautious, yes. But not cautious enough to thwart her growing adventurous spirit.

"Well, if it would help, you could show me where you live and then I would know for when I decided to visit you," Illidan said, still really not wanting to leave the mare on her own in the dark woods.

"She seemed to think about this for a moment before nodding. "Sounds fair. That way you won't have to roam the countryside in hopes of bumping into me." She laughed some. "This way. It's past a secluded looking little thicket." She walked past him in the direction towards her own little secluded safe haven. After all she didn't think he'd think it funny if she took him to the teepee her two-legger resided in.

Illidan followed silently behind, keeping aware of any potential dangers that might approach. After some walking, he spoke up. "Do many live in this forest?"

She thought for some moment before answering. "I've only met 2 others that call this forest their home... There may be others. Then again there may not be others.. Hard to say.. I don't see many around the forests.. mostly around the plains." She moved around some bushes avoiding them easily as she came to another small clearing before pausing and looking around. The path she was looking for was a small game trail that she used to mark her entry way into her hide away.
Seeing the small tracks of smaller game and the tracks of some larger game, she smiled inwardly and took the path that would soon lead to a small secluded thicket. Across the thicket she knew her pond to be and there was her place she saw as her safe haven from the rest of the population of soquili. "It won't be much further really. When we reach the thicket it's on the other side, though the entry way to that is a bit... tricky to spot." Her ears perked as she breathed in the faint sent of the water in the distance and she almost giggled. the last one to have been sown the way was another mare, one whom she saw as an adopted sibling of sorts. Still she made her way to the edge of to thicket and without hesitation pressed on through it. Her ears continued to swivel though to the sound of the distant hoot owls.

Illidan nodded his head, ears moving about to catch sounds of the night as he followed the mare to the thicket. "I can see the entrance well enough by the tracks, though it is somewhat, as you said, tricky to notice." He perked up slightly at the smell of water. "Seems like a good place to hide away. All the comforts one needs."

"I thought so when I stumbled upon it a while back. There's more than one entrance but I prefer to take this one from time to time. Just so my tracks aren't always so noticeable. The game usually covers them anyways.. but never can be too careful." She smiled some before reaching the other side of the thicket. Slowly she studied the area before finally disappearing into some bushes or at least it seemed she was disappearing into them. "Come on through." She giggled from the other side of the bushes.

Illidan smiled a bit, following the mare. It took him a bit longer to work his way through with his wings and larger form, but he soon stood with her. "You have made yourself an excellent place to hide. Do you show this to many others?"

"No, not really... Only you and one other have seen it so far besides myself that is. "She chuckled some and walked to the water's edge. Bending her head down, she drank slowly from the pond's clear cool water. Lifting her head once more she made her way to a bed of clover. "I've met so many only I don't really ever see them more than just meeting them Some I've seen multiple times only not often so near the forest. I guess I'm a bit stingy with sharing my hide away" She couldn't help but to let out a hearty laugh.

"As well you should be," Illidan replied, heading to the pond to drink as well. "I'm surprised you led me here after one meeting. I hope we're friends, though, and we'll see each other often. I enjoy your company. I don't really have many friends." He looked at her, tilting his head. "Are there so many in this land that you've met them only once?"
