Diesel leaned back, going from focused and cold to relaxed and open in a blur, "I feel the same. 4th squad is a very important squad that has been under appreciated for years." his smile was the normal crooked grin that defined his mood and he nodded to himself for a moment "Yes. You choose who lives and dies by your own will so allow me another query. Say you had a dangerous technique, one that could potentially damage a patient...would you use it?" the question was simple but whatever the answer was would determine Diesel's opinion of Kasummi "It wouldn't kill the patient but the damage would be irreversible. Would you use it if it made the rest of us take notice of you?"

Kasumi looked perplexed at Diesel. Hurt a patient? “You speak to me like I am a monster for knowing such techniques Diesel sama, and I am going to assume this question originates from another conversation. And I would never use such things against my own patients. An enemy perhaps. And I will be honest with you Diesel sama. The effect of the Kido is quite drastic, irreversible as you just said. I am a little hurt, seeing as how you would even consider I would do such a thing for mere reorganization. I believe in only killing my enemies Diesel sama. Not my allies. Kasumi sighed and took a small sip of her tea. Who would ever put harm to the people they work so hard to protect?

Diesel kept his smile as he listened to Kasumi's reply and nodded, satisfied "I would never consider a lady of your status to be a monster. I wanted to know because..." he sighed "Because the last captain's of the 13 were anything but noble. Several of my men were subject to some of the forbidden techniques and they remain...brain dead in my squad." he rubbed his neck unhappily and took a deep breath "I'm sorry I offended you but I needed to know. I can't afford to have a 4th squad captain who is unable to control themselves."

Don't mind him, Kai watched the exchange from the corner of the room. The tension had eased and as a result so had he. His hands came back up from his hilt and back into their original crossed position before his chest and nodded respectfully. This was a good woman, and one who took her job seriously. Her answer to his question was a good one as well. He nodded and a strand of hair fell in front of his face again. He ignored it this time and continued to watch. he's just contemplating the best way to kill you.

Kasumi nodded in understanding. Brain nerve damage?
“I see Diesel sama. If you would like Diesel sama, I could look into healing your men. I have a talent for fixing certain brain nerve damage. It is a costing technique but if it lifted a weight from your shoulders I would not mind using it.” It made her slightly uncomfortable knowing that there were people currently under sever brain trauma and not under her care.

Diesel's face fell and he rubbed at the bridge of his nose to hide his distress "Thank you for the offer but...as they are now and with what happened in the Society...it is better to leave them as they are." he hid his mouth behind his hand for a moment and breathed deeply through his nose. One of the men had been his younger brother from the Rukongai "I don't want to wear you out for a lost cause." he let his hand drop and he smiled, leaning forward to hold out his hand to her "Regardless, I'm honored to have such a wonderful woman as the captain of this squad. I'm sure you shall achieve your goal."

Hery eyes read unspoken words. For me, nothing is a loss cause…
“If you ever change your mind Diesel sama I will be here. And thank you for your words.” She shook his hand respectfully and smiled honestly. She believed this man to be a very good person. “I am sure Soul Society will strive under your rule. And I also believe I will achieve my goal as long as your Soul Societies superior. And if you ever need to talk I am also a very goo therapist…as you can see, I am a doctor of many talents.” She chuckled at her own small joke. Though she meant her words about the soul king 100%. Perhaps the rebuilding of the Soul Society was not so hard of a task?

 Ryuta entered with burnt arms and a torn up coat. "I need some help with this Captain," He tried to support a smile, but was clearly unable to. "Oh Captain Diesel, I have some good news for you!" A sarcastic tone spat out to the higher of the two. He furthered his gait by sitting on a hospital bed nearby.

Kasumi was quick to stand when her eyes met face to face with her Sotaicho’s wound. She moved to his side quickly gently taking cold of his arm. She scanned over the blister and looked at her Sotaichou questionably. “I would like to say I am happy for your visit, but then I would be lying. How did these happen Sotaicho?”

Ryuta looked to Kasumi then glanced back to Diesel quickly, "From what I had overheard from his superior, The primera espada and another high ranked espada. Thankfully they were called back and I was able to avoid his brute attack." He then winced in pain as the burn started to feel warm.

Diesel stood as well and walked over to Ryuta, hands on his hips, frowning "More espada? I'm finding myself disappointed in the 'God' if he can't keep his espada from causing trouble." he leaned over to examine the burns and decided it wasn't from the espada he'd fought earlier "If your good news has anything to do with this, I'm not sure I want to here it." he joked but his attention was focused on Ryuta's burns "So what news is it? And I don't need the annoying tone, Ryuta. So be nice."

Kasumi noticed his pained expression. She could tell the wound was not fatal, though it seamed the wound was grave enough to sustain a constant undergo of pain for her superior. She was quick to raise her right hand over the wound. She released some of her energy using the ‘Numbing Touch’ technique numbing the burned area on his arm. Acting as an anaesthetic. She was quick to move on to the initial healing technique in order to cauterize the said wound. “ Starvation of warmth, deep embrace. Spill across the flames and flow in the sky." A light green rietsu emitted from her palm over her Sotaicho’s wound.

Ryuta watched as the pain subsided and the burns ceased, "Thank you Kasumi. Diesel, there was no good news I was being sarcastic." He said dully amazed his superior didn't catch it. "I have a meeting later with my new subordinate. Her zanpakuto apparently is an offensive Kido type, which is very rare in the realm of zanpakuto sub-categories." Riddled with a dumb found memory Ryuta made a silly face at Diesel, "Oh yeah the good news was I was able to succesfully capture samples of both espada's energy from their attacks so it should help us some. The 12th division has it right now. Oh and another thing Diesel, I am going to be busy doing Kido training with my new lieutenant and I won't have much time for other things. So would you mind covering for me?"

Diesel rolled his eyes "Sorry I lack the monumental skills of sarcasm that you have." he leaned back and slid his hands into his sleeves. He didn't really care about Ryuta's lieutenant but "I'll help out with your duties on one condition." he smiled wickedly at Kai for a moment, knowing both he and Ryuta were going to be unhappy "I want to go outside the soul society. Kings should be in the field, fighting beside their men and women, not cowering inside a safe zone."

Kasumi smiled absently at the words the soul king spoke. How right he was for what he said. Fighting along side their men ka? The glow from her hand ceased, and she grabbed a few on hand bandages from the secret spot of her obi. She was gentle enough as she wrapped the bandages around her Sotaicho’s arm. She tucked one end behind the other tightly, securing the cloth from moving.
“There you go Sotaicho. I used a numbing Kido technique so the base of your arm is completely numb. It will only last for 24 hours. As for the wound it self, I reattached all the burned and damaged nerves in your arm. Burns can be a very dangerous type of injury Sotaicho. So please be careful.” She stepped back from the man frowned. Regardless of being the one who takes care of all injuries, she hated to see others in pain. “After the elected 24 hours have passed and if you are still experiencing pain in your arm, be sure to come back here immediately. You will need one more session of healing. If not, you are free to go. Also, no immediate training please in the next 15 hours. You need to give your injury time before you do anything of the physical matter.” She meant her words. The kido she used continuously healed the person while they went on with their day. Though it only lasted for five hours. He would need ten more just to be sure.
