"Wine any one?" Kurium greeted happily to the group
With out an answer, he made his way through the room, wary of the cat, stretched out on a nearby couch and placed the liquor on a nearby table.

Gazma looked to the Neko boy then back to Aria. Although he wouldn't dare show it, the interruptions were starting to get to him.
"I'll let you handle him how you see fit. If you have no objections, though, maybe we should continue this conversation somewhere a bit more...secluded?" He said, while glancing up to the second-story balcony.
"I'll meet you up there when you're done." Gazma told her before taking off towards the stairs to the second level of the cathedral.

"Ah. Ok." She nodded at Gazma, at the boy Ryo, waved at the newcomer with wine and shook her head. "Nah. Thanks. I don't drink."
She realllly didn't.
Scooting after Gazma, she followed him up the winding staircases through to the second level, before stopping to breathe. Asthma was a grief, and stairs didn't help.
But she was tough, and hell, stairs wouldn't stop her, either.
Breathing steadily, she followed after him to the balcony before pausing in the doorway, blinking. Why had she followed him?
"err. Why did you want to talk in a more secluded place?"

"Eh he, Gomennasai, Gazma." Ryo turned back into his cat form and leaped onto LDS shoulder, licking her ear. "E tet dra nekrd drehk, nekrd?"

"Amin n'rangwa edanea"* He said in Elven speak and pulled out a small box, no bigger than The Ultimate Hitchiker's guide, and started emptying it's contents on the table by the wine.

"What do you have there?" LDS asked, approaching Kurium, being careful to not disturb the sleeping cat on her head.

"Kurium, you old dog! Where've you been?" Gazma called in greeting at the sight of the man stumbling out of the cellar.
He turned back at the sound of wheezing to see Aria making it up the stairs with some difficulty.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to push you." He said, helping her to a seat.
He sat down a little ways from her, remembering her statement to the neko downstairs, and gazed out over the room.
"It gets hard sometimes...I'm required to be the level-headed mediator that treats every situation with fairness...I'm supposed to set the example, you know?" His gaze became distant as he spoke.

"Oh, no, you didn't push me, it just acts up sometimes." She hated being thought of as weak, but allowed him to help her anyway. She wasn't even breathing that much harder, at any rate. "Don't worry about it."
Glancing up at him as he spoke, Aria's fingers steepled together, lining up with the bridge of her nose as her eyebrows arched slightly downwards, clearly paying attention.
"yeah. It's a lot of pressure. I don't envy your job." Aria chuckled. "I'm just about the worst person to relate to your situation, though. I was involved with gang violence for years; If there was an issue, I decked them, no more issue. I'm just now getting out of that mindset. So I really don't envy your job; I'd have hit someone."
She always had a little wonder for those with patience. How did someone guide the misguided without growing frustrated, deal with the angry without resulting in a casualty? It was a gift she had never possessed.
"So what's on your mind regarding that?" One thing she was good at; listening.

(What relevance is that?)
Gazma undid the straps holding the anchor to his back and placed it on the ground beside his feet. Draping his arms over the top of the pew upon which they sat, he allowed himself to slouch slightly.
"I guess I've just learned patience over the years...Admittedly, I can't help but be biased in some situations when my personal beliefs get involved...I suppose I'm more patient than fair when I look at it from that perspective..." He said, his eyes still appearing distant.
Suddenly, he seemed to come back to the present. He blinked a few times and straightened up. Turning to Aria, he gave an apologetic look.
"I'm sorry...sometimes I go off random trains of thought and ramble..." He said, adjusting his hat.

((Ah, never mind)) Kurium was too absorbed in his work to reply. He placed a small 2 inch thick wooden block on the table "Yaaraerea Ama poldora, Ona ta a'amin!"* He chanted and from the block appeared a small bound book the same dimensions of the block "It worked, it worked!" he exclaimed and flipped through the book simultaneously.
