Lily nodded - she hadn't been worried at all since Mommy was easy to pick out of a crowd with her bright white and black skin and long colorful hair.
The tot picked up her sippy cup and smiled at Mommy when she got to the table.
"Having fun, honey?" Delucca asked, turning the page in her book and taking a sip of her coffee.
"Yes." the little girl giggled quietly before putting down her water again and going to grab onto Luci. She was the leader after all.

Lucifel took Lily's hand and led them over to her dad's table. "This," she pointed to herself "dad." She giggled. "He dra. dra. on. THING." She was trying her best. She gave up and just blurted out the first word that came to mind.
Vlad looked down at his little ball of green delight. He had a curious look on his face. Well that was new... He'd never been called a thing before. He wasn't going to let it bother him, this was after all coming from the mouth of a tot (his tot at that).
"Who's your friend?" He asked as he glanced over at the blue freckled girl.
"Lily!" She giggled. "Lily this dad," she grinned and clapped. In the process she was clapping both their hands. She was an excitable thing.

"Hi Mister Luci Dad." Lily said quietly, waving a bit. "You look like a very nice dra on thing." the girl told him politely.
The toddler smiled shyly to him before taking hold of Lucifel's arm again. She felt safer doing that.

The last thing Vlad wanted to do was scare Lucifel's new friend. Most people portrayed Dragons and vicious beats... That would be a bad thing. Not to mention he was a good portion Vampire (and the blue freckled girl was clinging to Lucifel already)... He decided to just go with dra on thing. At a later point when they were more familiar with one another he would give the correct term for his 'species'.
"Hello Lilly," he said politely in return. "Are you girls having fun?" Kids were so much easier at this age... He wished that it could stay this way.
"We lots of fun," Lucifel chirped in response to her dads question. "Just 'opped for drink." She giggled.

"Yeah. I was tirsty." Lily repeated with a small smile. She wasn't clinging out of fear, more out of comfort - stick to what you know, right? Luci's Daddy seemed nice anyway.
"We go on slide again or in ball pit, Luci?"

Lucifel picked up her dad's ('big kid cup'). She came to get a drink... But there was nothing kiddie for her. So, she was going to give this a try. She took a couple of sips wearing more than she drank. She didn't care. "Dad need straw." she giggled.
"Balls!" She giggled. She barely had set the cup down before she was off again. Toting her friend behind her. "Whee!"
Vlad chuckled as he grabbed some napkins to mop up the mess.

Lily laughed a little and waved goodbye to Vlad as she was dragged off in the direction of the colordy ball pit. Well, at least they'd blend in.

"We jump in. Count of three," Lucifel said when they reached the entrance of the ball bit. She giggled excitedly. This was going to be so much fun! The balls were pretty colors. Couldn't go wrong there!

Lily agreed and counted down with her friend before leaping into the ball pit. She landed with a "fwump" in a pile of colors, sloshing round for a bit before poking her head up. "Felfel?" she asked, looking for a large patch of green.

"Lily!" Lucifel exclaimed as she jumped up out of the balls and hugged her. "Found you." She giggled.

"Felfel!" Lily giggled, hugging her friend again. Where the silly nicknames had come from, she didn't know, but who cared? This was fun!
"Found me." she agreed before ducking under the balls and "swimming" away.

"Lily!" Lucifel dived back into the balls to search for Lily. Her friend wasn't entirely blue which made it harder to spot her amongst the balls. "Lily! Lily!" She called out as she giggled.

The pair went on in that fashion, playing around till they were both tired and yawning. Lily wandered out, half stumbling and holding onto Lucifel before toddling over to her Mommy and bidding goodbyes.
Delucca snorted and offered Vlad a piece of paper as she picked up her daughter. "That's our names and addresses. You can call if Luci wants to play or something."

"We pay soon LyLy!" Lucifel giggled excitedly. "Up! Up!" she yawned as she tugged on her dad's shirt.
Vlad was actually shocked to see Lucifel tuckered out. "Thank you," he managed to accept the piece of paper and pick up Lucifel at the same time. He knew the chants of 'up, up' wouldn't stop until she was picked up.
"We'll keep in touch," he said as he grabbed a napkin and wrote down their number and address. He then handed it to Delucca with a smile.

"Certainly." the woman agreed, before heading over to make sure her pizza was paid for and pack her daughter up to go home. "It was nice meeting you both."
