[Nightpaw ran up behind Fathom and scented the air. Nothing unusual about the border. But she did smell something great nearby, prey. Before making her presence know she crept away and caught the wandering prey. She carried it back and dropped it near Fathom. It was plump but she knew she couldn't eat before feeding her clanmates.]"Is this good?"[She mewed to Fathom. She hoped it impressed him.]

[The smooth voice of Ravenwing sounded from the small shrubs that served as part of the border between Seaclan and Nightclan. Being one of the best hunters of Seaclan, it would come to no surprise that he was able to sneak up silently towards the Nightclan patrol.]
"I must say, it's quite rare for the leader to come on patrol, and you all seem quite disturbed. [Nightpaw saw the cat.]"Uh, who are you and why are you so close to the border?"[She challenged. She wanted Fathom to know she was brave enough to be a warrior. And maybe someday, the best in the clan.She knew the cat was Seaclan, she could tell that easily.]

[Fathom eyed Ravenwing suspiciously.]
"Everything's fine," he said smoothly, narrowing his eyes. "There's nothing wrong with me going on patrol and training my apprentice, now is there? Borders need to be checked, and I'd like to be here to mark them.
After all, you're the one here without a patrol. What are you doing alone, and so close to the border?"
[He brushed Nightpaw's shoulder approvingly, for both the caught prey and her spunky outburst. He would've chuckled if it weren't for the suspicion he held of the SeaClan cat.]

[Ravenwing winked cheerily to Nightpaw, showing absolutely no hostility, before turning back to Fathom.]
"Oh but of course there isn't a problem, Fathom, whatever you say. As to what I'm doing, I believe it's none of your business, Nightclan leader. Does every cat have to be on a patrol to walk at the border?"
[Ravenwing said in a smooth, calm voice, quite different from Fathom. He showed no signs of suspicion, and as he walked forwards, his fur shone as though he had spent countless hours preening and grooming it.]
"So, apprentice, what would you do if I crossed the border...like this?"

"Actually, it is strange to be on a one-cat patrol," he shot back smoothly. "Seems like you spend most of your time worrying about that pelt of yours than patrolling the border anyhow."
[He turned his head, uninterested now. It didn't matter if Ravenwing wanted to cause trouble-the rest of the patrol was padding up to them, and he was far outnumbered. Fathom flicked his tail in amusement as the warrior taunted Nightpaw.
She's certainly got fire, he thought to himself.]

Tigerhawk decided to give Nightclan a visit, since he has all the time in the forest to go to the Moonpool. He noticed a cat from Seaclan and then a Nightclan patrol. He smirked "my, my what luck there's a patrol right there!" He padded behind the group of Nightclan cats and smirked "hello there friends!"

[Lavenderrain's eyes turned a bruised black-purple and she narrowed them at Ravenwing.
Her voice was so full of anger that she could only utter in the slightest whisper.]
"Don't play the game with me Ravenwing. That's one dangerous one you're playing. Does it ruin my pretty face? Would you like to see my face up close and personal? I dare you then. I dare you to cross these borders, it'll just give me an excuse to claw that smirk of your right off your face." she whispered fiercely.
[As Lavenderrain turned to try and calm the enraged spirit inside of her, she felt a cold breeze ruffle her fur.
She shivered, looking for cold eyes watching her.
She somehow had a feeling that something was just the slightest bit off.]
