"His Name is Victor Frost, or you might no him as Doctor Freeze." Jack said continuing down the stares and not bothering to answer the first question. "He's still obsessed with extracting revenge on Catman for freezing his wife, and hiding her away somewhere. He still claims that she isn't dead, but the rest of us don't hold out any hope for Nora Frost..." Cracker Jack sighed, the tunnel like spiral staircase reaching its end at a balcony that overlooked a massive cavern. A blue light glowed in some windows in a strange dome shaped structure in one of the corners. Then someone cussed rather loudly. "DAMMIT!!! NOT AGAIN!!!" Doctor Freeze walked out of the dome like structure, the refrigeration suite kept him from being at room temperature which was by now lethal to his body. "Oh, sorry Jack, I didn't know we had company." He bowed, hiding a wrench behind his back. "My name is Victor Frost, pardon my vulgar language earlier." Even his dark blue skin seemed to be able to redden because he was now blushing a strange pink hue on his cheeks.

"The bosses have ruined alot of peoples lives haven't they?" Lilly sighed, so this plant thing didn't make her any more special then any one else here... When Victor called up to her she couldn't help but smile. "You're alright, what are you working on? If you don't mind me askin?"
The place was huge, she didn't even want to calculate how large this place was, let alone figure out how many were down there. It was alot to take in. "So this is the place huh?" she sighed, "Sorry, stupid question number twelve..." she kneaded her forehead, she had a lot on her mind. "What next?" she sighed.

Victor smiled. "I've been working on a way to freeze time in it's tracks." He looked up, counting numbers on his fingers. "I've been at it for a while now, off and on of course.. It's a very tricky subject, freezing time, but hopefully It will make us able to battle Catman's pet flash." Victor patted Jack on the shoulder, "The only one here who has taken down that little b*****d is Jack." Two men in fluffy white eskimo coats came out of the dome next, the blast of frigid air making Jack step back and his cape to billow out behind him. One of the men was skinny and of mild height, and the other was very large and had huge arms. Victor barely even noticed, turning around and smiling. The two men began to remove their headgear, eyewear, and scarves. "Allow me to introduce my colleagues." Victor said. He moved over to the big one, who's face was now visible and it wasn't that of a man, but of an albino Gorilla. "This is my good friend Gorilla Gregory, or as some might call him, Prime Ape." The large gorilla looked down at Lilly. "A pleasure Madame." He said in perfect english. "I am always pleased to meet new people."
Victor walked over to the other man, who had removed his head gear and revealed a shiny bald head. The man seemed to have an air of confidence about him. "This is Lex Luthor." Victor said, smiling. Lex smiled and held out a hand for her to shake. "My colleagues have been instrumental in their assistance to my newest project." Victor smiled again, "We're a bit of a nerdy society down here, thats why we appointed Jack as our leader. He just has more experience in fighting than all of us combined. Plus he's not the dullest crayon in the crayon box." They all laughed at that. "Thanks for that." Jack said smiling...

"Stop time..." it was a brilliant idea, stop the bosses in their tracks... "Wait...who..." She looked to Jack in shock, "You took on speed?" so he was stronger then he looked.
At the cold burst of air, Lilly held her arms closer, she wished she wore a jacket... To see the two new colleagues, she had to tilt her head up a little more. "Like wise, nice to meet you," she said, almost timidly. "I've heard..a lot about you, as silly as that sounds." She still couldn't believe she was seriously here. In a hidden cavern, with the resistance. She was going to need some time to fully grasp this. "Alright, so theres Victor... Mr. Gregory here...and Lex,"she repeated the names to commit them to memory.
She could tell they were all close, when she looked at Jack she could see the smile in his eyes. "So who else is here?" She notices she was the only female so far, she hoped there wasn't anything to worry about. "And thank you for giving me a place to stay...Wicked Woman's out to get me..."

suddenly a woman leaped from nowhere and did a backflip, landing on Mr. Gregory's shoulders. "Who's this peach boss?" She asked, her black and white face make up making her look like a clown. "Allow me to introduce my sidekick Harley Quinn." Jack said, visibly rolling his eyes. "Don't ask stupid questions Harley, I know you've been following us since we got to the stadium." Harley snapped her fingers, "Gosh toots where did I mess up?" Jack sighed, I saw you out of the corner of my eye in the garage." Harley frowned, and sighed.
She then looked back at Lilly. She suddenly let out a girlish squeel. "Sooooooo we should tottaly have a Mary Kay party!!!" She pursed her lips and held out her nails in a model-like pose. "I need to look good when fighting crime you know!"
Jack walked over to a small shack next to the large dome. He began removing his gear, costume, and weapons putting each in it's proper place, which was either a hook or a barren piece of wood desk. After he was finished he turned around, his freakish smile revealed at last. "Are we ready to eat then friends?" He asked. The majority of the group nodded happily. And Jack started toward the center of the cavern.

Lilly jumped when Harley appeared out of nowhere. "Jesus!" she cried. "You scared me half to death!"
"Don't ask stupid questions Harley, I know you've been following us since we got to the stadium." Jack said. Lilly gaped, she didn't even notice the girl. "I saw you out of the corner of my eye in the garage."
"Wait did she see..." marcus she cut herself off and watched Harley jump from Mr. Gregory's shoulders. She had to laugh at Harley's comment, gosh atleast she wasn't the only girl here. "Well I'll trust you on that, i dont even know what i have in here..." she sighed mentioning her bag.
"Are we ready to eat then friends?" Lilly turned to Jack, her smile still on from laughing, it was then she saw his. She flinched slightly, praying he didn't see, last thing she needed was him upset with her or hurt. It wasn't like his face was horribly deformed...It was more like the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland...just a little out of place. Lilly nodded and follwed the group toward the center of the cavern.
Lilly didn't dare ask every ones back grounds, knowing it would lead to her telling hers. It was still to fresh in her mind, to close to be history...to upsetting to talk about. "So whats to eat?" she sighed.

Cracker Jack walked over to a large clearing, in it's center was a huge round table. Everyone sat down, including faces that hadn't been introduced to the new comer yet. In all there were about ten of them at the table. Jack smiled, his eyes showing he actually meant it. "This isn't all of us, we have others moving about, but this is the majority of our ranks."
He turned around in his red chair, looking at a tall built man with a strange helmet with red eyes. he had cords coming out of the back of it, and was fitted in a blue suite. "This is Blue Manta..." Cracker Jack said, looking at the large kettle he hoisted up onto the table. "Blue Manta has the most powerful gift of all of us!" Jack smiled wider than usual. "He is always positive... and makes the best Stew you've ever tasted!"
Blue Mantas voice was mechanical like a robots. "Your too kind Jack, I just do what I can for the rebels who will one day free my home Atlantis from the Tyranny of Aqua Lord." Jack sighed, "We will try our best my friend." He patted Blue manta on the shoulder. "That is all I can ask of you." Blue Manta replied passing out bowls and spoons to everyone.

Lilly gaped at the man, "Atlantis...like the real Atlantis?" she felt stupid just after saying so. "Sorry, i'm just still getting used to this,"
She accepted the bowl and spoon and waited till every one got a bowl. As soon as they all started eating, she too partook in her food. Cracker Jack wasn't kidding, the stew was fantastic. Much better then Marcus' cooking that was for sure. She just floated along, she didn't know where she would stay...she was a little iffy on possibly being roommates with Harley. Strange... didn't know what to think about the idea. And the idea that she would be helping them all out was even a stranger thing to think about...shed have to work on these genetic powers she had... and had to be careful about touching people...her gloves looked strange enough...

They ate like a family. Laughing and Jokeing, enjoying polite conversation, and for a brief hour forgetting the problems of the world. They didn't care what they looked like, or what their physical appearance looked like, here they were free to be who they were without worry. For not even the injustice league could defeat them on their own ground, even if they knew where their hideaway was.

Lilly had never felt more comfortable, ever. It was like she was fully accepted into anything before, while at work she was incharge, while at home she had no one to compete with. Being an only child was lonley, and with two sets of parents afer a brutal divorce she had repeled any and all family attachments.
Yet here she was, eating dinner like a part of the gang with the resistance...atleast they made the transition from one life to another easier on her. She found herself talking about the lab and what they worked on with Victor, offering to help him with his project, she had enough scientific back ground to put in some useful hands...she just had to be careful.
She tried to keep herself in check, she couldn't fully trust any one here, not just yet...she couldn't get to attached... She already knew the pain of getting to close to fast, and she wasn't going to go through that again. Atleast her new disorder would help her to that end. "Hey," she said finally. "I'm...exhausted. Where might I be staying?"

Cracker Jack stood. "Excuses me ladies and gentelmen, I must show our new guest to the guest room." Cracker Jack motioned for lilly to follow. Jack moved away from the center of the cavern and to the north, toward a spiral structure that wandered up near the high 3 story cieling. Jack moved to the door, which was solid steel, and instead of twisting the door handle, he pushed a button on the very tip of it, disguised as part of the knob. The door swung forwards, just enough for the 2 of them to slip through. Beyond was a dimmly lit spiral stair case that snaked it's way up toward the top of the structure. The stair case was lined with doors every level, leading to an unknown room. Jack walked up the stairs and ascended to the 2nd level. This time there was no knob, but still a steel door. Jack smiled wider than usual, "MonsterMan is a b***h..." The door slid sideways into the wall, revealing a dimmly lit room furnished with furniture, art work, and even a little t.v. set. There seemed to be a bathroom off to one side, and a queen size bed next to the t.v. Jack turned to lilly. "Whala!, your room madame. Please try to get some sleep becuase tommorrow will be a busy day."

After grabbing her bag and slinging it over her shoulder, Lilly excused herself and followed after Cracker Jack. It was like a maze to find the room, "I hope I'm able to find my way around here, its like a labyrinth..." she commented softly as they continued up the steps. Sher herself couldn't help but smile at Jack's code phrase, and she was smiling even before the door slid into the wall. She looked into the room, her mouth falling agape. For rebels they sure lived well, a T.V. sat by the wall, a queen size bed on the other side of the T.V. from the small table and chairs. It was like a motel room, small quiet, and protected.
"Whoa..." she couldn't hold in her astonishment. "Are all the rooms like this?" she gaped.
"Please try to get some sleep, because tomorrow will be a busy day," he commented. She dropped her bag on the bed and turned toward him.
"Oh? Whats tomorrow?" she shook her head, "Never mind, don't tell me." she shifted weight on her feet and looked up at Jack, "Thank you, for taking me in, I guess you didn't really have a choice, but it means alot...and i'm sorry about...him." she couldn't even say his name without feeling the sting of guilt, she associated with him, which could have made her as guilty as him or even worse...dead. "So thankyou,"
By the time he'd left, Lilly turned to the bed, and while walking toward the welcoming pillows she stripped off her tall heal boots, her gloves and collapsed on the bed. She didn't want to sleep in the same clothes she'd been in all weekend...so she pushed herself up and looked to the bag. It was about time she found exactly what she'd packed.
She didn't give much care to the contents of the bag, simply dumped it over on to the spred and looked them over. She nearly died. She had taken the bag she was going to take to her associats wedding, and laying accross the bed was the evergreen sleek dress that she would have worn as the brides maide. There was a large mens button up shirt that she'd used as a night gown once before, some spare undergarments, a notebook, and her research on the plantlife she'd worked on and her science notes. She had...practicaly nothing. She'd left her phone at Marcus' appartment, so her two sets of parents were not likely to find her... These thoughts raced through her mind as she changed from her green tank and black slacks to the button up shirt.
It was then she looked at the mirror on the other side of the room, and she couldn't even recognise herself any more with her bright red hair. Her skin was tanner then it had been before, her facial features sleek and smooth and seductive. She stood and stared at the reflection of the siren that looked back at her. There had to be something wrong, this wasn't the girl she was, she was the one who always wore conservative clothing, she'd even argued about the design of the brides maides dresses...
She couldn't sleep, not now, not after feeling completely reborn, lilke a completely different person. She practiced her new art, controling the plants. She could conjure vines from her fingertips, she could will seeds to materialise in her palm, and with a simple toss she could will them to grow in and on anything...she'd have to replace that dresser she used to experiment on. The room seemed completely transformed, Vines clung to the ceiling, fragrant blossoms hung from the vines and decorated the dim space. The dresser had a different plan in each drawer, and Lilly honestly couldn't stop from smiling, she'd become addicted with these plants even more then she was in the first place.
She took the time to take out her files and research the names and the important informations about each plant...the one that she felt akin to was the Lillith Vine, the distinct vine that climbed from the rug up the foot board of her bed. The blossoms were a deep red, a brush of their petels or leaves and youd be left with a heavy rash. Should you injest or have continual contact with the enzymes in the Lillith Vine...it could be fatal.
The thought simply boggled her. She was the Lillith Vine, she was poisonus to every one who touched her. She was a danger to every one... But she had the DNA structure of each of the plants she'd conjured in her research, if she could find an attidote...or a vaccination...she wouldn't hurt her new friends. "Sorry Victor..." she muttered to herself, "I have to work on something for myself first i guess..." well one good thing came out of this epiphany, Lilly thought. She'd found her new name. No longer was she Lilly LeFleur, she was now Lillith Vine. Lillith...it had a pleasent ring to it.
It took a long while before she was able to relax enough to fall asleep.
((wow that was like...alot lol sorry))

Jack went back to his corner of the complex, watching a rerun of the rugrats in his bannanna yellow hammock. But he couldn't concentrate. His mind was always in motion, always preparing, always worried. He was worried about this new girl, this 'lilly'. How much did he know about her? It seemed awfully convienent that she just happened to show up right after they had given the Injustice society the slip. They were probably throwing a tempertantrum up there right now, killing countless innocents in a meaningless display of anger. Still Jack could do nothing at the moment, nothing that is, except plan. That was truly Cracker Jack's gift, the gift of planninng and preperation. He got down on his hands and feet, and began doing push ups. Jack wasn't sure what was going to happen next but he was certainly going to be prepared. That night he would do 1340 push ups, and 1000 crunches before he went to bed. Making sure his body was as fit as ever. Preparing for the mission ahead.

She had never awoken from such a horrible night mare in her life.
It seemed to have started like any normal day at the lab, Lilly walked in, pulled on her lab coat, greeted her friends and got to work. She was inspecting the Lillith vine that day, and the Sahlwood Nector Blossom and the Moncsleaf, all highly poisonous. They had been brought in from foreign lands by Wicked Woman, she hadn't said from where, only that they were to be studied and that a highly toxic serum be created from their chlorophorm.
Lilly stirred, watching the momories echo through her. She mumbled in her sleep, 'Don't don't do it...'
Wicked Woman had come in to inspect that day, Lilly herself had given the tour. She explained the subtle differances between each plant, being such a nerd...Wicked Woman wasn't impressed. She kept asking about the serum. Lilly's lab hadn't been able to successfuly make a serum from even the most gentle plant. The chlorophorm from each plant had an acidity that made it horribly difficult to work with and cultivate. The boss hadn't been to pleased, but she said to toast a fantastic job, and she poured them a tea, a tea she said her other lab had been working on quite closely.
"Don't. Don't do it..." Lilly muttered in her sleep. She started to sweat, toss and turn in her sleep. "Don't do it..." her voice grew louder. "No, don't don't do it!"
They drank the tea, how foolish they were, if something had come from one of Wicked Womans labs it was most deffinatly not safe for human consumption. Lilly doubled over. It felt as if she were burning, flaming from the inside out. In her pain she fell into the bush of Lillith Vine. She lay weak and in silent agony and watched as Wicked Woman called out to a group of fire resistant uniformed workers with mechanical torches. Lilly screamed silently as they began to burn everything that she lived for. She could hear the plants howling in pain, the high pitch thrumming in her ears.
"Watch out! She'll kill you!"
Some how she was able to stand, pushed through the poison, Wicked Woman watched in minute shock, and it didn't take long for her to come bounding after Lilly into the flames. She ran, not fast enough...there was a heavy object pushing her into the tile...Wicked Woman had tossed a desk onto her, the action should have crushed her spine. Lilly wept from the pain, and slowly faded into darkness, with Wicked Woman standing over her with one of her men. 'Burn her...make sure she dies...'
"NO!" Lilly sat up abruptly, sweating, panting, crying. She hadn't remembered this...she should be dead, how on earth was she still alive. She remembered the desk, she should have been paralyzed, the flaming torch...she should be burnt to a crisp. The poisonous tea...falling into the Lillith Vine...There was no way that Lilly could still be alive. No way. She sat there the covers kicked off and cried into her knees. She had no idea waht time it was, and she honestly didn't care. She was shaking, how the hell could she still be here? And her friends were all dead?
She didn't know what time it was, was it early in the morning? Was it late a night? Was it mid day?

+ALERT+ +ALERT+ +ALERT+ Cracker Jack didn't flinch as the lights began to go off, making a noise like a loud cricket. He got up calmly, putting on his gear as his commerades prepared for battle. When he was geared up once again he went back to the center, to the table they had previously eaten at. On the table a holograph was being projected from a curious green and purple robot. The holograph was of a crowd of people being terrorized by Mr. Terrible. His laugh echoing through the cavern as the people screamed, Monster man flew by in the distance, and Wicked Woman's magic could be seen infecting some terrofied citizens. The Heros watched in horror as a child was bruttally trampled by a mob trying to escape the wrath of Hawk King.
The hologram dissapeared, and the strange robot floated up above the table. "My name is Braniac... and this is a level 4 threat. The Injustice league is threatening to kill civilians until they get thier virus back." Jack didn't know what to say. "This is bad."
