Andere chuckled at S’ril’s suggestion, nodding and inclining her head thoughtfully. “There’s nothing I’d turn up, at this point,” the young woman replied, pleased the newly-made greenrider would be joining her for something to eat. That’s not to say she wasn’t capable of finding something edible on her own, because she quite was, but if High Reaches was going to be her new home (for the rest of her life, oh, what a long timeframe), it was time to start making acquaintances with those who would share this home. “But it is a celebration. Something sweet is fitting, I think.”

The former navigator began to make her way through the bustling dining hall, motioning for S’ril to follow along. It was a little difficult, but it was a feast, after all. Everyone was here. Andere did not particularly mind leaving Kanaleth with Aceth; the gold was the one who ventured off first, after all, and if the hatchling needed something, well, she knew exactly where to find Andere. Turning to her companion, the redhead asked, “So do you hail from the Weyr, or were you Searched elsewhere? I’m from Tillek Hold, myself. I was Searched not a fortnight ago!”

Oh, dear. She was going to have to figure out how to inform her family there would be no returning, wouldn’t she?

Meanwhile, Kanaleth was exchanging very confused looks with Aceth. Both herself and the green had very pleasantly greeted their brother…only to be completely ignored! Maybe we were not loud enough? she wondered aloud, glancing at her green clutchmate as though the green held the solution to her problems. Best we get a little louder, then.

Bumping against Aceth warmly again, the large hatchling set forward with nothing shy of utter determination. She picked her way through the remainder of the legs standing between herself and her objective, including the young brown’s rider and the man –what was his name? A’jel?- she’d run into early before headbutting Brath gently. Brath! Kanaleth implored, giving him a curious look. Aceth and I would be most pleased if you would join us.

S'ril followed after gladly, matching her stride easily, though hindered by the crowd of people. "I was Searched a few turns ago... Three or so now, I think." He had to pause a moment as a well-drunk rider passed between them. Luckily, it seemed like he was on his way out, so he must have just had a bit too much wine, S'ril decided. "I come from the Healer Crafthall - and picked up Dragonhealing upon being Searched." He dodged a few others before coming up beside her again. "I didn't think I'd recognized you... Tillek's a fair distance from here - you're a long distance from home... But how do you like it? So far, at least."

Yes, he must just be distracted. After they had rushed through the crowd - she being careful not to be stepped on, being a good deal smaller than Kanaleth - she came up beside Kanaleth and matched her stare at Brath.

We are going to meet the rest of our clutchmates. We should hurry, before they and Theirs all leave! It would be a shame, not to meet them all.

"Indeed he probably will. He reminds me much of Vogieth,...at that age and now. Their type really doesn't seem to grow up," A'jel gave somewhat of a soft chuckle, "As for where, pick any spacious place and I'm sure Vogieth will find the two of you."

When looking at the two A'jel could almost see himself and a much younger Vogieth two years ago. Nothing but Vogieth's size has changed since then. Poor Z'ai would have a long road ahead of him, that was for sure. In the mean time it seemed Brath was to be buggered by his rather social clutch mates. Well, that was all well. A'jel had done what he'd needed to do.

Z'ai opened his mouth to reply, but noticed the little gold and green staring at Brath. Guessing they were trying to get his dragon's attention, he nudged the mottled brown with his foot.

"Hey, you. Your siblings want you," he said with a chuckle, then looked at A'jel with a warmer smile, one that wasn't forced. "Gotta go."

"Vogieth, I am excited to meet you! I think Mine is excited to further meet Yours as well." With that, the brown darted over to Kanaleth and Aceth with a happy chortle, a look of chagrin on his face.

"Forgive me, siblings. I was distracted!"

A'jel nodded. Mission complete, time for food and relative solitude. It was with a great sigh of relief the A'jel headed towards the food.

"Excellent! We shall have much fun, Brath!" Vogieth was delighted to hear such - both that he and the young one would get to meet, and the impending force-socialization of His. If a dragon could grin haughtily, Vogieth would.

Kanaleth crooned pleasantly as Brath joined herself and Aceth, eyes whirling a pleasant blue as she rustled her wings by her side. It is okay, the gold assured the brown dragon, nudging him playfully. We thought perhaps we were not loud enough. But here you are, so it is no trouble at all! Aceth and I were trying to find the rest of our siblings! Kanaleth crooned, stretching her neck to glance around the crowded hall before settling her gaze back on her clutchmate. It was very nice, to be in the company of a pair of such pleasant, energetic dragons.

Perhaps they are by the food? Kanaleth finally suggested, glancing from Brath to Aceth to make sure all approved. Should we try there next?

Andere kept getting broken fragments of the conversation, only hearing what her dragon projected as she managed to accrue more and more of the hatchlings. Shaking her head to herself, the redhead helped himself to a few sweetrolls before glancing back at her greenrider companion. "Well, a Weyr certainly isn't a ship, I'll tell you that," Andere replied with a chuckle, shaking her head as she glanced around. "I spent about half my life on my father's ship, we just happened to be at port when the Searchdragon was about. Lucky break, I suppose." She could not help the fond smile, even if Kanaleth was no where to be seen.

"I'll miss it. The ocean, I mean. But I get the sneaking suspicious I will learn to like it here just as well." Andere nodded towards a table with a few empty seats, motioning for S'ril to follow once he'd found what he wanted to eat. "After all, I think it fair to say the members of a Weyr work just as hard as a ship's crew." And that was all she needed, really.

"Myself and Mine were making a play date!" the mottled brown said in an excited tone, his eyes whirling faster. He glanced back at His, who was standing with an annoyed expression on his face, trying to look as though he were a part of the furnishings in an effort to avoid conversation.

Weyard grinned, seeing the boy respond to her at last. That was what she wanted to see, smiles all around. While he was busy, she half-turned in her seat and devoured a bit more food. Mmm...the cooks had really outdone themselves this time! The tubers mashed perfectly, and with the juices from the roast actually were quite good. The wherry was tender and dropping off the bone; meatrolls still steamed and bore a sheen of melted-in butter...it was a feast anyone could appreciate.

She nodded and hurried to swallow down her food when the lad joined her. "Aye, was on the sands. Not my first time, or my last, but eh. Your first, right? Can't say I recognize you. Lots of folk don't make it on their first go, and get really miffed...You looked down, I wanted t'be sure you didn't go off feeling too down. Even if this party isn't for us, we're invited, hm?" She clapped him on the shoulder and wolfed down another bit of food. "I'm Weyard, by the way. And you?"

Julian loved sweets and these were deffinately the best he'd ever had. If he ended up having to leave he most certainly would miss them. Maybe they were only made for hatching feasts if so he intended to savor these. He licks his sticky fingers with a grin at Weyard.

"Aye my first. It was pretty impressive by my standards. Who'da thunk I'd be picked? Haven't met many here at the weyr," Julian makes a face. "Haven't had the time. Yeah I figred on that. Wasn't too down, ya see Weyard, more torn. I have a passion for leather making and doubted I'd be allowed ta practise here."

He gives her a grin, "Oh sure, they may have Impressed but we sure as can celebrate with them! I'm Julian, pleasure to meet you and thanks for inviting me over." He gives her a half bow from his seat. Weyard... What a weird name for a girl. Wonder if she be Weyr born.
