T'riss nodded at the order and said, "Right away, Jabbuk. I'll see what I can do." She turned and walk over the counter and through the door. She tapped the area near the door. "Roasted Rothe and I'll need another ale barrel out front." Then she leaned towards the Cook, "A call for our lady." The Cook raised her brow and then shrugged. "I'll see if she ready. Oh, the order will be done soon."

Negai's watchfull eyes darted over everything, taking in th etavern in detail including those who dwelt within. taking another long puff of his pipe he pondered the possible meeting and weighed it against what he had seen in the alleyways.

Irrafay walked quickly into the Kitchen. Her eyes locked on the Cook, behind her two of her employees carried a large barrel of ale. As they continued forward Irrafay stopped near the Cook.
"Well," She raised her eye brow and a comical question look.
"He's out front, our Lady. A tunnel crawling creature. But he gave a platinum coin, meaning he has money behind him." The Cook handed her the plate of Roast Rothe.
Irrafay nodded, pulled her hair back in a tail and then took the plate. She turned towards the double swinging doors, then whispered. "Are the drinks ready?" The Cook smiled and then nodded.
Irrafay walked having spied the nodded from the side. Out front she saw new comer. She breathed in and then let out a sigh. She patted T'riss on the shoulder passing her the Roast Rothe. T'riss then add it to the tray with the waiting ale pint. With a nodded they parted T'riss behind the double swinging doors. Irrafay towards the waiting patron.
"Here is your food and drink, Jabbuk. You wanted to talk?" She gave a small half smile she looked at him.

Negai looked up from his pipe and smiled. "If yeh be the lady 'o th'house then aye." he gave anod of respect and motioned for her to join him. "I be representin a certain group of idividuals tha's been takin notice of yer goin's on." he explained taking a a mouthful of ale. He was somewhat surprised at the quality of the drink but made no comment, buisiness before pleasure after all. "M'lord's concerned tha' yer intrest in the thievin guilds is conflictin' with his own."

Irrafay settled into the seat as the short one chatted. Then she leaned forward just as T'riss came and placed a tanker in front of her as Irrafay rested her head on her hand.
"I'm sorry we worried your boss, but why should it matter to you?" She sighed and took the tanker in hand. Taking a slight sip, she glance over the top. "What of our interest in those little guild worries him?"
She pulled the tanker close to her body. She looked down in to it, while pouting.

Negai paused a moment to eat and to listen for th ereply he would give. "We have our own ideas regarding how the guilds operate, both individually and as a whole. Not just the Thieves mind you, but all of 'em. Now don' be misunderstandin' me now lass, it's not power we be lookin' fer Val'Atar's got more than enough 'o th'stuff to keep our minds off 'o contollin his city. We just wanna make sure we all ge tour fair share. that none 'o them high an' might houses can push us around fer nothin." he explained. Naturally there was more to the story and Negai was sure there was more to this woman than the tavern owner she played herself off as.

Irrafay took a dainty sip from the tanker. Then glanced over the top again. She seemed to cuddle it in her space of the table. She drew a circle on the table top as she listened.
She sighed and then said,"But what does that have do with us? We are just trying to make sure that the small thieving we use to fond our place isn't touched upon." She pursed her lips, her eye downcast to her tanker.
Than she glance at him, then quickly away."We aren't going to do nothin' to those guild's. So long as they don't mess in our stuff."
Shifted her shoulders, and seemed to curl up in her seat. She wore a small smile as she looked down.

"it's got everythin' t'do with yeh lass, If yeh throw in yer banner with us, we can boost yer fundin' beyond anythin' dem teives can muster up fer yeh... Now dunna be gettin' me wrong lass, I dun intend yeh to be turnin away from yer business contacts, just suggestin that yeh consider an additional enterprise of mutual benefit." he explained, finishing his meal between sentances. Pattign his belly he stood and gave a half bow. "m'thanks fer th'meal milady, S'been awile since I enjoyed ale that well brewed, yeh can be expectin' m'patronage again. Also, I'll be lettin yeh think over m'proposal, if yeh 'ave an answer b'fore m'next visit, Just talk t'yer thieves." with that he left another platinum coin on the table and left.

Irrafay watched the tunnel crawler left, slightly sad he hadn't mentioned more. And then she smiled, I won't be in the dark for long. She set down her drink as T'riss came over to clear the table. "Be careful with that stuff. I have plans," she whispered. T'riss nodded.
As she stepped away, Irrafay stirred her drink staring down at it. Then she suddenly stood and head for the kitchen. "I'm upstairs if anyone needs me." She told Nym who was now handling the counter.
He nodded and then said, "We have 4 who fell ill. They are in the back now. All nice and clean." His eyes twinkled as he glance at Irrafay, who just smiled back.
Once in her office, she closed her eyes standing behind her desk facing the shuttered windows and her back to the locked doors and the twin chairs before it. "My Lord of the City," She whispered. "I have a favor to ask.I humbling ask for a chance to talk." She flicked the fork of the dwarf back and forth in her hand.

Moments after she spoke the words, the tall silhouette of Patron Druu'giir steps from a dark shadow opposite where she sat. He had a curious look upon his face as his clawed feet click softly on the stone floor of her office, walking towards her.
"You called, my little spy? I see your here without your brother, how.. pleasant for me. Perhaps next time you summon me you might wear something more revealing.. I do rather enjoy your form. So, what is it you need child?"
Moving casually, Val'atar slips to the side of her desk, then around, resting himself on the edge of it facing her, his smile.. dark and wicked, flashing down at her as he watches the emotions play across her face and body.

Her eyes remained rather bland at his words. Though internally she shuddered. Next time, I'll put on more clothes. Then she sighed and focused.
"My Lord, we have had a strange visit from a dwarf of unknown alliance. He indicated that our interest in the thieves seemed unhealthy. Then hinted at a higher force. At the time, I thought to send someone after him. To watch him. But then he stated a possible alliance. His appearance, though nonthreatening hinted at strength and stealth. Thus..." She held up the folk the dwarf had been using.
"I was hoping someone could track him through magic. My people are gathering anything that could be used from the table as we speak." Her eyes focus on a spot on the wall beyond him. She didn't want to look down, but looking him in the face was surely a death warrant. And she didn't want to die, at least not in till her children were assured a place of nobility.

"So you will put on more clothes next time eh? Do I disgust you so much beautiful one? My face is handsome, fine and exotic. My body is flawless, sculpted as if from ebony and yet one wouldst think you saw a troll before you."
With a sigh and a shake of his head, he throws his cloak aside, revealing his body before turning to stride across the room.. facing away from her, his movements now tight and controlled. He speaks, but gone is the playful banter, the light and casual tones replaced with stern and cold words.
"I can scry the dwarf with the items you have. Watch them, agree to whatever you must so long as it does not expose that you work for me. If an alliance is offered, take it.
If you need aid, call for me again.. but Irrafay, know that you dealt yourself down with your attitude. You and your brother are not unique nor irreplaceable. I give you leeway and offer great rewards.. for little that you wouldn't already do. Too bad your so against my enjoyment of something so trivial as your beauty."
With a last sigh, the Patron motions with his hands, speaking several low words in another tongue and with several soft popping sounds, the various items she spoke of appeared out of thin air to float into his cloak. Swallowed within the folds, they disappear as he turns to gaze at her once more before he vanishes as if he had stepped into a hole, the shadows he had stood in swallowing him in the blink of an eye.

Irrafay stared at the spot where he had vanished and then sank into the chair behind the desk. Leaning on the desk with her elbows, she slowly rested her head on top thinking. But my lord, my only desire is to become irreplaceable.
Stretching she tried to plan, but she couldn't her mind seemed fogged. With a sigh, she got up. Wrapping her arms around her middle, she peered out of the slants of covers over the window.
Looking out into the market place, she noted the daily comings and goings, trade deals and lost gains, poor and great buys, and the quickly moving arms of thieves. The street was so different from home, from she had started, from well everything. She and Valdaer could have only dreamed of this chance, the chance that put them so close to the top and yet so far way.
That is it! I'm sick of dancing around and waiting. I will find away...even if it means less clothes. She thought glaring at the street. The next time...

The snake slithered up to the door step of the establishment. At the steps, it started to glow in a purple light. The light expanded and grew to the size of a full grown drow. When the light cleared, a snake like monster with an uncanny likeness to Llmryn formed from the small black snake. The golden armor claws twitch and flex to get used to the new body.
The monster slithered up to the door and throw open the door. Everyone in the tavern turned at once and had many different reactions. They ranged from disgust, to fear, to the need to kill the monster for sport. But, all of those were trouble.
"Hey now pal..." said one of the drow as he stepped up to the beast. "Why don't you get the hell out of here before w-"But he was cut short as one of the armored claws of the Naga like creature found itself planted into the throat of the drow. As the claw was pulled back, the lifeless body hit the ground with a sicking thud. "Anyone else wish to fill his shoes...?"
