Galbrix

The trip out of the cavern had been uneventful, but Galbrix didn't let that stop him. He was doing more than following the aching tug that ripped at his mind, begging him to move along, and quickly. He found a road that he just barely remembered and continued walking along at his slow pace. He could tell he was still far away, but he had to get news of what the world was up to, after all, you can't blindly run into a war. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer... and that was what Galbrix intended to do... for... The Shadow.

Soon he had made it to a town that contained a castle. He sensed more than one disturbing soul within... at least he found their love for the race disturbing, the filthy human scum! He found himself grinding his teeth, clutching his hands, and, overall, his entire body stiffen. The old man quickly stopped to rub his beards instead.

When enough time came to pass he found his way to the outside of the castle, and just in time to see a woman trying to duel two guards. Galbrix was not going to help, but he would watch with intrest. It really was amazing at how a few years of solitude would make a two-on-one fight intresting. He knew that he would have to leave this town after he learned what he could about the world in this time, but he could enjoy watching the to human guards die... One could only hope...

Zanos Falen: The Heir

Zanos Watched the clouds go by as he waited for news of these "Others". The day seemed to be going very slowly compared to the norm... However soon a gaurd ran in speaking of a Women dueling the gate gaurds. Zanos sighed and walked out of the room Easily making his way down the stairs and out of the castle to the front gate. He looked at the women with her sword held out to the gaurds. "Its more polite to ask you know." he said with a Disarming tone. There was no anger or annoyance, he Figured she was probably one of the "others". "I am Zanos Falen heir of the Human throne, how may I help you today?" he said. His hand resting gently on the handle of his sword.

He loooked at the gaurds with a fierce look that made their faces pale. "I told you to inform me of any new arrivals did I not?" he asked angrily. He did not wait for a reply, "Yes I believe I did, Both of you lay down your arms and ask this kind women for forgiveess... You idiots." he seethed. The men quickly obeyed their prince. This was one of the many pleasures of being the heir to the throne. Forcing the much larger gaurds to listen to someone nearly half their size.

• Cyrena •

Cyrena sheathed her sword, looking at the blond human. He said he was an heir of some sort, not that it made a difference to her. Yet, when approached she felt the pull stop. He must have been what she was searching for.

"My name is Cyrena. I am searching for...something. It believe I am."

He had a commanding voice and seemed to frighten the larger men. They apologized profusely. She nodded at their apologies, not really understanding why, but assumed it was better than nothing. She turned back to Zanos Falen.

"Zanos Falen, I'm not quiet sure, but I believe I was searching for you. Can you help me?"

SHEBA

Sheba followed after the prince, walking slightly behind him out of respect. She knew as soon as she saw the girl who she was, and a smile lit her face. when she asked for help, Sheba interrupted, stepping forward and holding her hands out to Cyrena as if not to shake the elfs hand, but to cradle it. It was almost a loving gesture, motherly in it's gentelness.

"Cyrena," she let the girls name roll of her tongue. "Hunter, master of the earth, friend of the plants and animals. You-" she froze mid sentence, eyes scanning the crowd. She suddenly felt repulsed, as though something vile was right near by. It offended all her senses, though she did not know it's origin. Her gaze froze on an older looking man, and for several long seconds she stared, before letting her gaze continue. That feeling, whatever it was, was her instinct of survival, and if years of living in the wilderness had taught her nothing else, they had taught her to trust her instincts.

"We should go inside," she said in a hushed voice, eyes flitting around as though she was searching for a ghost. "There's something..." she didn't finish the sentence, instead letting it hang ominously. "Right now," she urged. Her voice wavered, clearly showing that she was unnerved, but she was unsure as to why. She knew there was something there... watching... but how could it be a Shadow? She was never that repulsed by a Shadow before, and she hadn't awakened their powers yet, so they shouldn't be a target.

Without waiting for affirmation from the others, she headed towards the castle. The cloth of her skirt swept out behind her with the speed of her movement. Her steps had an urgency to them. She didn't look back or hesitate, hoping the others would follow and not ask questions.

DAHN

The figure hid well in shadow and observed every event with strange curiosity. He saw paths of guards, maids, and butlers all over the palace, but he found few spots of unseen shadow. As soon as an opening was clear, he fired at the castle itself, running ten feet vertically up the wall to a small hole that was a window. He looked into it, and, seeing nothing, squeezed through it. He kept to the rafters of the building as he sneaked along quietly, like the rats that found home where he now intruded. He watched the prince and a strange woman enter a room, only to come out after a few minutes. He knew the prince, but had last seen him when he was a small child. Both of them were younger in that day. And from age begets wisdom, as the figure clearly understood. When the two left the room, he dropped down and quietly entered it. He looked around and saw no places to hide. Instead, he sat down in a chair behind a large desk and leaned back into it. It was huge for him, large for a human, and seemed to swallow him. He knew the two would come back. So he waited.

Sibelius had walked most of the day and even when his feet hurt he had felt a strong tug to make it to town before sundown. Oddly enough, he hadn't stopped at any of the inns or shelters but rather continued his march all the way to the castle.

Artemis squeaked and appeared from the folds of his cloak to rest on his shoulder. "Yes Artemis I do see the guards however I think they'll be most keen to let me in." As he approached the guards suddenly tensed their grip on their pole axes and stood stolidly as he made his way. "Good morrow gentlemen, and how would one find two gentlemen like yourselves if he were to ask how they may be feeling today?" The manner in which he talked seemed to have caused the gears to grind in these men's brains as they frowned and stared at him with a look of perplexion. "No matter, I'll just be heading into the castle then and leaving you gentlemen to earn your wages."

"Hold it," One of the two said, "No one's getting through unless they have the proper authority to and you don't look like someone who would have said authority." The second one didn't seem as interested to get involved. "Have either of you gentlemen ever seen a magic spell before?" The one who had spoken didn't seem so amused but the one who remained quiet raised an eye brow.

Leaning on his staff he suddenly straightened and said, "Look up, now look down," The guard who had spoken obeyed, "Now look at my thumb," He said extending his hand with his thumb raised so the man could look and as he did Sibelius pushed him on the nose with it, "Gee your dumb." He said delighted that the man had fallen for it as he proceeded to bring his staff thundering down on the poor man's head. The second guard gasped before Sibelius muttered something and he dropped to the ground sleeping like a lamb. "By your leave gentlemen," He said as he stepped over the two.

Zanos Falen: The Heir

Zanos Watched the old man as he walked up to the two gaurds and proceeded to incapacitate both. "Welcome to my castle sir please right this way, those gaurds probably needed a break anyway." he said. He turned toward the rapidly fleeing Sheba before looking over at Cyrena, "Well since you were drawn to me then i guess sheba wasnt kidding. Come inside and all will be explained." he said walking in calmly behind sheba before walking up the stairs to his study. When he opened the door he found a very shady man sitting in his chair. "You could have walked through the gates like everyone else you know." he said. He motioned for a few servents to bring more chairs and they quickly hastened to find some.

((OMG that was hillarious by the way.))

Galbrix

The show was over, finally. No one drop of the human blood fell to the ground, only a few quarrels with no resulting deaths. Galbrix couldn't help feel a sense of urgency at this meeting of many... awkward people. He must truly be on his way, but he couldn't help wonder at why. He knew not of these people, but they felt the same as the ones before... the ones that had felled... The Shadow... But surely this was just some feeling, and feeling had no place when planning to complete plans as serious as him master's... The Shadow's...

Galbrix stayed in the open square as the crowd began to filter out. After a few minutes of standing and staring at the castle, at window with wondrous white drapes, he walked to a back alley, hastening his pace. Some day those drapes would burn, as would the castle and this town. Humans would be a non-existent race, wiped clean from the history books. All human ways would be banned, under the penalty of death. Galbrix made it to the alley opposite the castle, and waved his hand, concentrating upon the throne room of... The Shadow...

SHEBA

Once they were safe inside the room, Sheba slowly looked at each individual. The Assassin had made a subtley dramatic entrance, which meant that... in addition to The Heir, The Beast Master, The Magician, who had also just arrived, and herself, they were all accounted for. Her signal had worked and everyone had managed to find their way in. She could have cried in relief, but the job was far from over. First, they all had to agree to fufill their duty. Now her challenge was to convince them, though it hadn't been very hard with The Hier.

"I'm sure you're confused as to why you're here," Sheba said, addressing all of them, except, of course, the prince, who already had the briefing. "And what I'm about to say might sound shocking, but please just hear me out. You all made your way here based of a strange, uncontrollable impulse, yes? Well, I'm the one who caused it. I called you all here for one reason- you are, each of you, a reincarnation of one of The Warriors of old, who defeated The Shadow when he first threatened humanity. The threat had grown once more, and the Shadows have been growing in number and strength, and so it is time for me to awaken your dormant power, so that we may fight against this plague once more," she said, speaking rather quickly. Once she had finished, she fell silent, watching the reactions of each person, her eyes flitting to each person.

"Thank you my good sir and pray tell where might one find a good drink? I'm particularly parched after the long trek to your magnificent estate." He wandered on without waiting for the prince to show him around. He noticed three other individuals besides the prince within his immediate vicinity. "And who might all of you be?" He looked to the elf, then the drow and finally the witch and blinked once. "Ah! Where are my manners, My name Is Sibelius Scorch Wizard extraordinare!" He said as he raised his hands up dramatically and conjured a burst of fire above his head. "But you may calll me Mr. Scorch if you please."

At this point the woman who was not an elf spoke and explained why they had been summoned. When she finished Sibelius took it upon himself to speak, "Well I do love a good story, I guess my only inquiry is where and how shall we start this rather daunting task?"

DAHN

Not quite the reaction for which the figure was hoping. He had expected someone to freak out, but it seems that all of them had, in one way or another, been freaked out beforehand. He sighed as he walked to his chair and sat. The "magician" wouldn't stop blabbering his mouth and everyone's ears off, so he was happy when the thin woman spoke. Everything was quieter, but she seemed rushed. A few words rang in his head, "Warriors," "reincarnation," and "Shadows." Quickly his mind found the prophecy told by a few madmen at the fall of Shadow. They spoke of a return. The figure stood and walked to the door. He would have nothing of this. Fighting and killing for money were his strong points, especially when he knew not one person. Killing alone. Using his own tactics. He did not do well in groups, especially ones with elves. He shook his head and turned to face the woman who spoke. "I shall not fight for one side. Thou dost not need me, rather the elf will do, will it not? I shan't kill my own," he thought, communicating with only his eyes. He knew how the battle would work, and he knew that the Shadow would employ more drow than any other being. He would not kill drow. That and children. Those were his rules. And he would not see them broken, lest he become less of who he was.

Galbrix

The portal took Galbrix to the thre room, which was already beginning to have followers. This was good, for the quicker this got underway meant that the quicker the town he was in before, that human town, would burn. After that they would move on to another, then another, then another... and they would keep on until humans were dead. All Galbrix needed now was to find out who was in charge, for he needed to get close to this person, help him out as much as possible, for Galbrix didn't care for any of the wealth of this war, only the result. He needed to keep... The Shadow's... ideals clear in the minds of all the followers.

The hook in Galbrix's mind was tugging its strongest here, so he supposed this was where he was needed. He could sense some... difference in the air here, but what it was he wasn't sure. It was some... some sort of being, but none he had ever encountered. "Hello," he called in the large throne room, hearing the echoes of is elderly rasp clearly, "are you the one who has called me here?"

Zanos Falen: The Heir

Zanos watched the oldman with a pleasent smile as he sat behind the desk once the assassin moved. "Very interesting, though I think mr. scorch would be a little much. Do you mind if i just called you Belius?" he said calmly. "Refreshments should be arriving shortly." he said. He waited as Sheba explained their mission to the others and marveled at how easily against it the assassin was. His mind raced realizing they could lose him so quickly. He was an assassin first and formost and apperently something was wrong between the mission and him. "Perhaps If I hired you to protect me as a body gaurd..." he said calmly. He Figured money could keep him nearby for the time being.

SLY

It watched at the woman disappeared and as an elderly man appeared only moments afterward. It felt it: the knowledge and power of Darkness. This was the First. It rushed to the man just as it had to the woman, keeping a presence on the throne as it had before. It spoke to the man. "You are the First. You have knowledge. You will command. This throne is yours only, forgive my keeping it." It touched him like it touched the woman, and gave his blood the information of years of light-filled world. Its touch was cold and emotionless, and it passed through the man's arm, feeling more like white-hot metal than anything else. It directed its arm toward the chair, whose shadow disappeared and rushed into the being. "You will order us now." It called in all the workers and they stood in a military line at attention, facing the throne. "You will lead us."
