Fallon's little dance of glee broke Audrey from her own reverent contemplation about the fact that for a change, she was actually attractive! Now, she'd never been ugly and the girl would never have said such a thing. But plain? Forgettable? Regrettable? Certainly all of the above. With just a bit of cosmetic help, however, all that had smoothed out and changed highly for the better. Exuberant, she turned and squeezed Fallon in a big hug. "You are an incredible miracle-worker, Fal, really you are!"
The mention of the current male component of her life, however, made the blush show even through the layers of cover and the girl smiled hesitantly. "Maybe, not sure what I'd say though. Going 'Hey look, my friend made me pretty to impress you!' is sorta forward. I think. Right?" It was so hard to not chew the tasty gloss off of her lips and being nervous didn't help any. "It's almost too elegant for the rest of me, I really can't believe it." Hands spread and she looked down at the now-painfully obvious teeny bopper outfit she'd chosen for herself. Definitely should have gone fancier, but there was little to say for it now.
"Whatcha think? Salvageable?" She hoped so!

Fallon could have let Audrey go on for years.
Oh, really? I did a wonderful job? Oh, thank you so much. I'm a what -- a miracle worker? Oh really, no you're too much! It's all in a day's work~
Instead, she accepted the hug with a smile and said, "I was just enhancing what was already there." It was true. Audrey was cute. She had good bone structure. Her hair was stunning (when properly styled). Fallon liked to make the people she cared about feel good about themselves. Because it made her feel good too.
Catching her own reflection, Fallon leaned forward and dragged a finger over her eyebrow to settle it back into place. "If you want to see him, find a reason. Would it be weird to ask him to coffee? If you know where he hangs out, you could always just go there too." This was her preferred mode of attack. She tended to assume that her continuous presence would suddenly make the other person realize how wonderful she was. Then how could they resist? Her track record wasn't so great with it, but Fallon was still learning. Relationships were a strange beast she had yet to conquer.
Audrey poked fun at her own outfit, and Fallon had to agree. "I might have something in my closet," she said, hopping away from the mirror and heading across the room. When she pulled back the doors, the full height of her OCD organization sprang into view. The clothes were arranged by color, weather appropriateness, and quality/preference. The bottom was stacked with even rows of Tupperware and other containers. The back of one door had a selection of leggings folded in clear packages. It looked more like a store display than the closet of a teenage girl.
Fallon reached inside and pulled out a cream cardigan. She turned and held it up to Audrey. It was made of a soft, downy material, and a row of buttons ran down the front. A silk ribbon tie hung around the waist, and Fallon untied it, slipping it from the hanger to hand to Audrey. "Hm, I think this will work for you." Pants wouldn't. Fallon and Audrey were built too differently. "And maybe..." Her voice trailed off as she snatched another shirt from the closet. It was a pale blue camisole with a scoop cut and a layer of lace across the bust. Fallon didn't wear it much. "Try this with it." It would match Audrey's bottoms enough, she thought.
Fallon crossed to the corner, covered her eyes, and turned around. "I won't look. Promise."

Eying the soft and pretty colors, Audrey smiled and fingered the sweater with pleasure. Once before she'd met Pasha, the bluenette had been all about muted colors. Monochrome and grey had always been her favorites, however, so the pale blue and cream would be interesting with her coloring. She'd be one big repeat all over! Grinning, honeygold eyes looked over to find Fallon's back turned, hands over her pink eyes almost comically and Audrey couldn't help but laugh. "Thanks for the reassurance, I'm sure you've never seen a bra before and it would have absolutely shocked you into insensibility." Off came the sweater and on went the frilled blouse.
Critically, she eyed herself before reaching down and starting to peel off her stockings as well, revealing vast expanses of ultra-pale skin stretching on forever beneath the white skirt. Audrey'd learned long ago that old-fashioned sock garters worked wonders in keeping your thigh-highs up with almost no fuss and had adopted them as almost everyday wear. Today was no different and soon she had the stockings thrown on top of her sweater. Almost as an afterthought, she grabbed her shoes from by the door and held them up next to the outfit for comparison. This seemed important, after all, as it was part of the outfit! "Okay, I think I'm presentable. Did I mess up my hair?" God, she hoped she hadn't messed up her hair!

Fallon smiled behind her fingers. Better safe than sorry! In spite of herself, she began to count in her head as if she was it and this was a game of hide-n-go-seek. She only stopped when Audrey gave her permission. She hit 76 seconds. Pretty fast, actually, not that it was a race.
Turning, Fallon appraised Audrey head to toe, freezing on the flats Audrey held in her hand. "No, the hair is good. The stuff I put in it will keep it in place better than that," she took a step forward, "but you need a pair of heels. Heels make your legs look better. You walk taller, shoulders back. My balance has improved." Her feet also developed callouses regularly that she had to scrape and lotion for days on end. Her back sometimes gave her trouble. But her legs looked great.
It was too bad they weren't the same size. Fallon had bigger feet. It was clear by just glancing at the plain black flats Audrey wore. "Mine will be too big for you, but you should really get some. Atleast try a wedge. It's just as important as conditioner." She nodded, as if she had just imparted the wisdom of the ages to the blunette.
Fallon circled Audrey once. "I think you look amazing. What do you think?" She placed a hand on either side of Audrey and steered her back into the mirror, leaning over her shoulder to gauge the girl's facial expression.

Gently, hips turned first left, then right to inspect both sides of her outfit and the lovely face in the mirror plumped first into a smile and then split wide open with a huge grin. Her frizzy mass of light curls had been tamed into sleek waves around her face which was highlighted subtly with several shades and colors for an understated but polished look. The shoes were out of place, a dark color in the midst of her almost cloudy, springlike outfit.
Turning, Audrey hugged Fallon again and all but clung and bounced in happiness. "You are amazing, I told you already! It looks so unlike me and it's just great!" Apparently not looking like Audrey was the best compliment the bluenette could give herself, and releasing the miracle worker, started to shove clothing into her bag along with the makeup products she'd been given. "I really hate to run out on you, but I'm not sure how long this magic will last, and I have to show Elzo. Or someone." Already she was debating the merits of running all the way across town to Hillworth before calling him, to see if she couldn't surprise her dance partner.
The Crystal girl only got two more hugs before Audrey grew too impatient to wait any further and tossed yet more exuberant praise and heartfelt promises to call later that night with the results of the makeover. A quick text confirmed that her intended target was indeed available. This was going to be good.

Oh, how much Fallon enjoyed being praised for a job well done. She loved it so. It was the same pleasure she got from feeding all of her friends, or reorganizing their schedules. No, no, you can't handle that, let me do it for you.
The bouncing Audrey made Fallon tense up, hands gripping the other girl's elbows as she fought to keep her own feet on the ground. "Make up doesn't change the way you look. It just enhances it. That face is all you." Audrey was pretty. Why couldn't she see that? She wasn't expressly Fallon's type, but her eyes were striking, her skin smooth. She dressed terribly and had a tumbling self-consciousness, but it certainly didn't make her unattractive.
Maybe she needed to hear it? Maybe Fallon should tell her? Before she could, Audrey was hugging her and darting out the door. Fallon smiled and waved at her retreating form. "Be confident!" The door closed with a soft click and the cinnamon-haired girl began her meticulous clean-up process, a smile burned into her features the whole time.
