"Cool!" Bleez exclaimed as she adjusted the bike next to Ily's. Hopping on she began to pedal. She was a little awkward at first, never having ridden a bike before, but she managed to get the hang of it pretty quickly.
"'Ey, let's 'ave a contest!" She grinned at Ily. Next to the light bulb was a wattage meter. Bleez pointed to it as she pedaled, faltering a bit as she did so. "Try ta make dat number be highest." She gripped the handle quickly as she almost fell off. "Ready? GO!"
Bleez pedaled as quickly as she could. The watt meter started to go up rapidly at first, but as the numbers increased, so did the time between the numbers. Bleez kept pedaling her little heart out.

Ily grinned and nodded, loving any sort of contest that involved speed or endurance. She was always best at those things, since all she had was energy and speed. Yet, doing something strange and unusual for the first time, both were lost on her until she figured things out.
Slowly, the pedals turned faster and faster and the numbers steadily went up. Then, with a sudden burst of speed, they started rolling along at roughly the same speed Bleez’s was. Never once tiring a single bit, she continued cycling at the same top speed and watching the watt meter. She’d only stop a little bit after Bleez, no matter how much she desired to keep going.
Of course, whenever there’s any sort of contest between two very unique looking kids, a crowd generally forms to watch and cheer. This was no exception as a group of kids and a few reluctant parents circled around the two. Their light bulbs remained insanely bright, and yet no one moved other than to allow for someone else to squeeze by. Ily remained ignorant of them, focusing completely on the spinning numbers only a foot or two away from her face.

((Those were my thoughts. smile ))
Bleez glanced around, noticing the spectators. She felt nervous, but at the same time, she was enjoying the attention for some reason. She decided she was going to give the people something to watch.
Standing on the pedals, Bleez started going as faster, the bike shaking under her speed. She grinned widely as she heard several people in the crowd "Ooo" and "Ahh" and clap. She was ignoring the numbers at this point and was focused on giving everyone a good show. So since she was focused on the people, she wasn't noticing the fact their was now lightning arcing from the machine.
A few of the people began nudging and muttering about the electricity. They started to back away as smoke started slipping through the cracks in the paneling. The machine was made for humans, not spawn that could exceed recordable time.
Bleez caught a whiff of smoke and turned to look at the number panel. It had gone black and thick smoke was pouring from the sides. Bleez hopped off the bike. "No' good!" She looked to Ily just in time for the sprinklers and the fire alarms to come on. The smoke had triggered the fire safety system. "Le's get outta 'ere!" Bleez blurted before running for the front door of the Science Center, hoping Ily was in toe.

Ily blinked and came to a sudden stop in her peddling as water began to splash onto her and everything else. It took the spawn a moment to realize that she wasn’t outside and biking in the rain. A quick look around told her all she needed to know and that the situation wasn’t good. Smoke poured out of Bleez’s bike and Ily’s was steaming pretty badly. She shrieked in surprise as the light bulb suddenly exploded due to the sudden, and drastic, change in temperature.
“Huh? OH! Kay!” Ily shouted over the alarms, jumping off the bike and running full-tilt to the doors to escape outside where, hopefully, it was dry and warm. As they rushed through the doors and onto the soft grass and eventually cement, the girl came to a dead stop at the feet of a tall dark-haired man. Aka, her father.
“Ily, what did you do THIS time? I go outside for five minutes and return to hear the fire alarms going off. What happened?” Damon asked quietly, arms crossed. “I-I-I... Bweez an’ I was on th’ bikes an-an dey asploaded an’ th’ wain an’ woud noise made us go owt here,” Ily explained, looking a little upset and NOT because of the whole fire alarm thing. More because Damon looked ready to bite her head off and she had NEVER seen him so upset lit he was right then.

Bleez tumbled onto the grass and finished her roll on to the cement next to Ily. It was far from graceful but she didn't have a scratch on her when she got up.
A hand reached out and snatched Bleez around her pale wrist. She spun around to see an absolutely furious Moira, her mom. Bleez's eyes met her mother's then immediately dropped to the ground; while Ily was busy explaining what had happened.
"I think you've 'ad enough excitement for one day!" Moira gave a tug on Bleez's arm. "We're going to go 'ome and you are going to write an apology letter to the Science Center!"
Bleez groaned audibly, it's not like it was her fault the bikes couldn't handle her or Ily's speed.... But it was her fault that she wasn't paying attention to the machine. She hung her head and dragged her feet as her mother pulled her towards the car. "Bye-bye, Ily... guess I see ya later!" She groaned again.
