Konaga SaiAkatsuki Leader| Konaga Clan | Sannin"Good." Sai stated plainly as he removed his hands from his pocket, "Then let's get moving back to base before someone comes looking for you. The Kazekage, like most Kage, probably doesn't like those who would abandon their village, especially so now that you are an Akatsuki. It will be very dangerous for you now, so you must stick with me at all times. I can protect you if you stay close by, but if you wander away on your own, you could be picked off by any number of shinobi who may be looking for you. Follow closely and if you can, activate your Byakugan... I need to know if there is anyone around is in pursuit."
With his orders given, Sai turned and began to run with a quickened pace back to the Akatsuki base. Considering Atsureki was only a Genin, he would most likely not be able to use the Shunshin no jutsu and so they would have to travel on foot. as Sai was incredibly fast, he slowed himself down so that the Genin could stay close by his side, but kept the pace up to make sure that they would make good time back to the base. Danger was at it's highest now, considering that hunter-nin could be in pursuit at any moment.
Sai was sure that once Atsureki activated his Byakugan, if he could, he would have a dozen questions for Sai, considering the incredibly large amount of chakra within him and it's strangely pure state. As a Hyuuga he would be able to see both aspects of his chakra, but unlike most, who had their chakra circulation stand out clearly and distinctively from the rest of their bodies, Sai's bosy would practically be glowing as his chakra saturated almost every cell in his body, making the tenketsu slightly harder to distinguish and locate. He would ahev to wait until they were in the safety of the base to take the time and explain everything however.

Hyuuga AtsurekiAkatsuki| Hyuuga Clan | Genin Atsureki followed closely behind Sai as he started to move, but at the mention of his byakugan Atsu said hesitantly, "I actually was never taught how to activate the byakugan... I was heading towards the leaf village to learn how, actually." Atsureki was a bit embarrassed and even a bit afraid, not knowing what Sai's reaction would be. But he kept moving, doing his best to keep up with Sai as they made there way across the country side.

Misuki SindoueSindoue clan | Suna | ChuuninAs the group neared the boarderlands, Misuki suddenly felt a sort of uneasiness wash over her. Closing her eyes momentarily, Misuki used her acute sense of hearing to scan the area for people that might be hiding. At first, everything seemed pretty normal to Misuki. She was able to pick up on the sound of 4 sets of breathing including her own but the closer the group got to the boarderlands, Misuki thought she heard the controlled breathing of several other people in the distance hidden within the nearby trees and sand dunes. Not sure if they were being watched, Misuki allowed herself to slip on her next step in an attempt to draw the group's attention towards her.
As she slipped, Misuki cried out a quick 'eek' before landing on her bottom. Remaining seated on the ground, Misuki placed a hand over her right ankle to make it seem that she had injured herself with the fall. "Argh...sorry Kage-sama, but could we stop for a moment, I think I might have twisted something."

Deil Grist Sand Village|Chuunin|Taijutsu Class|Genjuu Kinzoku Bloodline ROOT [Leaf Recovery Effort]Theme Song: If Today Was Your Last Day Deil was glad to finally have a change of scenery, but his dull elation was interrupted by the sound of shifting sand, an "eek", and a dull thud. He turned to see Misuki on the ground holding her ankle and saying she may have twisted it. He stopped his progress, and retrogressed back to where she sat. He knelt next to her, but could do nothing to help her ankle if it was twisted. "How bad is it?" he asked, concerned that she may be unable to walk unassisted. That, and it was just one of those things where he hated to see her hurt in any way. Light perspiration made a film on his furrowed brow now that they had been out of the ice dome for over an hour, but it was nowhere near a sweaty as it was before the break earlier.

Kage Konoha | Hyouton | Sannin (Temporary Kage) After a while, Kage had naturally fallen back behind the other ninja, her experience making her see the importance of watching over those of lower rank. They had been traveling for about an hour now, Hikaru traveling steadily by her side without a word, seeming to synchronize perfectly with her the way a bodyguard would. "Interesting that he would quite naturally fall into such a role... he must be a guardian of some kind, someone raised to protect, or he would not so easily slip into the role and keep pace with me at all times."
As they continued on, Kage saw that Misuki had suddenly stopped, or rather had slipped and fallen, halting the party as Deil was quick to respond. As they all stopped in one place, Kage looked down a the two, noticing that Deil was caring for her, as she focused her attention to the area around them trying to gauge where they were. It wasn't for a few more seconds that Kage suddenly felt something come on the wind... a shift or a change that only one who had mastered the element of wind might be able to detect. Kage made no sudden movements however as she simply grinned and crouched down to the ground next to Misuki as she began to speak in a low voice. "Tell me Misuki... what do you hear?"
"I'm here when I need to be."

Daichi looked up to see Kage bend down, and her her ask what Misuki heard. Deil`s brow furrowed in confusion, and looked down at Misuki`s hand was not white knuckled as expected when someone is in pain. Just a feint. Deil was no genius, but he knew turning around and looking would give away that they thought someone was there. So he did his part, and continued to examine Misuki`s beautiful ankle and hand. He made sure not to be distracted in this time of possible trouble by them by pushing any thoughts of admiration from his mind, and ocassionally glanced up to look behind them by looking past Misuki`s ear. To someone observing from a distance, it would look as if he was checking with Misuki to see how bad it hurt.

Misuki SindoueSindoue clan | Suna | ChuuninSeeing Deil rush to her aid made Misuki feel bad about her little 'act' but it was nessessary if she wished to inconspiciously draw the attention of all her group members. Once Kage appeared next to her and asked her what she heard, Misuki simply tilted her head downward as if she was in wincing in pain. Opening her mouth to speak, Misuki spoke in a low voice similar to Kage's. "Several sets of controlled breathing not including our own. It's hard to tune in on exactly how many from this distance but I believe there should be about 7. 3 in the trees a few feet in front and 2 each behind the sand dunes to the sides in front of the trees." Not wanting to say much in case of suspicion, Misuki remained silent as she waited to hear what the others had to say.

Tsukiakari HikaruSunagakure| Ato Sakura No Ki No | Genin Having stayed quiet for the entirety of the trip, Hikaru had instinctively stuck by the female leader of the group. It hadn't even been a thought to him, it had simply happened naturally as it was his upbringing to guard such a person, even if she didn't need guarding. As the three stopped to tend to his sensei's injury, Hikaru stayed alert, scanning the surroundings amateurishly, unaware of the ruse the other three were putting on. His years in the field had trained him to be suspicious at all times, and not being raised as a ninja, he did not yet fully understand the way they operated in secret.
His readiness would soon be rewarded however as he quickly caught sight of several glints of the hot desert sun off of steel as kunai flew at the small group from all directions. AMBUSH!" Reacting immediately on instinct, Hikaru jumped in front of Kage and Misuki, drawing out Kazesenkou as he skillfully deflected the projectiles off their paths, watching as the others responded in the same way. With the steel still ringing off of his blade, Hikaru didn't even wait for orders as he flew forward towards 3 assailants... his wartime instincts kicking in as he moved to dispatch his foes.
"Damnit! Hikaru... get back here!" Kage screamed as she watched the young Genin sprint towards his foes, but it was no use as he was already too far, his blade glinting with a stange blue tinge as he neared the three men, who would undoubtedly be able to overpower him. "Misuki, Deil... deal with the others." This was all she said before sprinting off to save the Genin from his foolhardy endeavor.
{{Mission: C-rank - Kill the bandits. Each of you take 2 of the opponents and deal with them however you like. Just make sure you refer to deflecting the initial kunai that were sent flying at the group (though you only have to worry about 4, as Hikaru took care of the three on his side.)
This should take about 4-5 posts (about 4 paragraphs of fighting in one post should do the trick)}}

Misuki SindoueSindoue clan | Suna | ChuuninFeeling a bit anxious about not having recieved a response from Kage after a few minutes, Misuki chanced an expentant gaze upward. As she lifted her head up, Misuki spotted several glints of light reflecting off steel and knew that the rouges most likely got tired of waiting. Allowing her instincts to take over, Misuki quickly pulled a kunai and readied herself to jump out of the way. Her line of vision was quickly blocked as Hikaru jumped in front of her and Kage in order to defend them. Feeling slightly nervous about the situation, Misuki felt promped to do something but knew that she should trust her student. 'Please be careful.' Seeing Hikaru skillfully deflect the kunai, Misuki released a breath she didn't even know she was holding. Kage's yell helped bring Misuki back to her senses as she watched her student continued to charge forward."tsk, idiot. Don't just charge forward by yourself."
Nodding in response to Kage's command, Misuki swiftly sprung upward, surprising a few of the opponents by her ability to still walk. Not wasting a perfect opening, Misuki quickly dashed forward towards two of the four remaining assultants. Forming the neccessary handsigns for a Kaze Bunshin, Misuki added her chakra into the surrounding wind creating an exact replica of herself using wind and chakra. Sending her clone after the enemy to her left, Misuki continued to charge towards the enemy towards her right. It seems the shock had already ward off as the man charged at her with a kantana. Smirking slightly, Misuki suddenly stopped in her tracks and in one swift motion, pulled out 5 shuriken, 3 in her left and 2 in her right that's already holding the kunai, and whipped them straighted towards her enemy. While her opponent busied himself with knocking aside the kunai, Misuki quickly used this opportunity to charge forward and aim a kick towards the man's stomach. Though she succeed in stricking the man in the stomach, Misuki recieved a slight cut on her right arm from the man katana right before he stumbled backwards.
Continuing with her assult, Misuki threw her kunai towards the man's face before quickly forming the correct handsigns for her 'Chakra no Mesu (Chakra Scalpel)' technique. Hands glowing a light crimson color, Misuki molded her chakra to create a sharpe blade molded from chakra. As expected, the man shifted towards the side in an attempt to dodge her kunai providing her the opportunity to aim a strike at his legs using her chakra scalpel. Knocking out both legs in one go, Misuki jumped back just in time to avoid his katana slashing at her arm. 'Time to finish this.' Still keeping her chakra scalpel on, Misuki dashed around the man continuously in a circle before suddenly breaking away and lunging for a strike towards the arm with the katana, thanks to her speed, Misuki was able to get away with the strike by could not dodge his left punch aimed at her left shoulder. Holding in the sudden shock of pain, Misuki twisted her body to release a strong kick to the man's head. Due to the close proximity of the kick, the man couldn't dodge properly thus taking the full blow of her kick, successfully knocking him out. Taking deep breaths, Misuki moved herself away from the unconcious man as she looked around to assess the rest of the situation.
~clone~
As her original charged towards the man with the katana, the wind clone faced off against her own opponent currently swinging around a sturdy looking pair of tonfa. Summoning out her kusarigama from it's scroll, Misuki (clone) held onto the staff and excess chain with her right while her left held onto the loose end of the chain. Swinging her kusarigama withing reaching distance of her opponent, the clone watched as the man skillfully blocked her attack by crossing his tonfa in an 'x' shape before going for a roundhouse kick. Spotting the incoming kick, the clone jumped to the side before lashing out at the man with her chain. After a few hits and blocks, the clone successfully got her chain to wrap around the man's leg. Not wasting a moment, she tugged hard on the chain causing the man to fall flat onto his back. Using this slight pause in the fight, the clone swiftly formed the required handsigns for a genjutsu. "Magen: Narakumi no Jutsu (Demonic Illusion: Vision of Hell Technique)." Trapping the man in a nightmarish vision, the clone walked over cautiously, making sure that the man gets knocked out by the genjutus. Seeing the unresponsivness of the man, she knew that she succeeded in trapping him. Dragging him over to the body that laid beside her original, the clone unattached the chain from the kusarigama and wrapped the two man up.
Kaze Bunshin (Wind Clone) Rank: E Description: Basically your typical clone, formed from wind. It is easily bested by any sort of skill, but this clone is still better than the average bunshin as it is able to attack and be attacked.
Magen: Narakumi No Jutsu (Demonic Illusion: Vision of Hell Technique) Rank: D Description: A low level illusion skill, which makes the opponent envision a very traumatic scene. After being put in some form of trance by leaves, grass, flower petals, and dust flying in front of the eyes, the target creates this vision himself. The jutsu only forces the target to think about the worst event possible for them, and then capitalizes on that by showing it happen.
Chakra no Mesu (Chakra Scalpel) Rank: C Description: A Ninjutsu technique used, primarily, for field surgery. The ninja concentrates a powerful aura of chakra around their hand, creating a blade capable of tearing through muscles and arteries, or breaking bone, without actually breaking the skin of the person they're using it on. This technique can also be used to repair the chakra system in a patient if for some reason it has been damaged. When used offensively, in combat, it is difficult to concentrate on the length and power of the scalpel, making it harder to successfully hit an enemy's arteries, ensuring a kill.
Total Chakra points: [33/40]

Deil turned around as he heard Hikaru rush off and deflect three of the incoming kuni. Deil, his body still sluggish from his lack of chakra, could`t make as skillful a display as Hikaru, but instead he crossed his arms and then swung them out to the sides. The four kuni, two on each side, were batted away by the chains on his arms. After doing so, he ran off to face his own two opponents. The first, a man tall like himself, wielded an extremely rare double-bladed katana. The second, of average height and 10 feet behind the other, was Deil`s worst enemy in his current state: an archer. As the man loaded an arrow from his quiver, Deil decided his only chance would be to keep the big man between him and the archer. So he reached down and pulled his release cords, which signaled a satisfying boom witha puff of sand. He sped off toward the larger man.
The big man came up to meet the challenge, and flurried the blade before slashing down vertically. Deil`s chains could handle kuni easy, but the sword came down with enough force to make a gap. Luckilly, The blade only cut through skin before stopping at the steel forearm. Deil winced, and the man flinched when the powerful blow did not go clean through the arm. Deil executed a floor-sweep on the man, which sent him to the ground. The man released his sword so that he would not hurt himself. Deil took a step and kicked the man in the head just hard enough to knock him out, and the man was defensless without his sword. His body went limp on contact.
However, without the man as cover, Deil was rewarded with an arow shot right at his head. The arrow hit right on the forehead, and shattered into splinters on contact with the metal forehead beneath the skin. Deil closed his eyes, and a few splinter embedded themselves into his cheeks. Deil opened his eyes with blood and acid dripping down his face, and the archer was shocked that his killshot failed. He tried to shoot again, but as he loaded the bow Deil threw a few shureken that sliced through the bowstring. Dismayed, he pulled a few arrows out to stab with while Deil unraveled his chains. Deil spun and had his chains wrap around the man, and yanked on them. The man stumbled toward Deil, and Deil delivered an uppercut-punch to the diaphram.
The man went a foot into the air, and had all the wind knocked out of him. As the man passed out from pain and lack of oxygen, Deil went to his knees as his exaustion hit him all at once. He slugishly pulled out his water, and poured it on his cuts to neutralixe the acid. Once done, he wearily capped it and looked up to see if simeone would need his help. He sighed in relief when he saw that Misuki was relativly unharmed.

Tsukiakari HikaruSunagakure| Ato Sakura No Ki No | GeninWhether he had not heard the order to not run forward so quickly, or he had simply ignored it was not clear, but Hikaru had already snapped into war mode. with his left hand holding Kazesenkou's sheath in position, Hikaru had surged froward with incredible speed, his right arm carried behind him as he made quick work of the distance between him and the assailants. The bandits themselves laughed and scoffed at him as they drew their katana, one of them breaking off as he moved to intercept the woman who was coming, having no idea who he was up against.
Charging forward, the first bandit wore a devilish grin as he saw that Hikaru had not yet drawn his sword, bringing his blade up before swinging down with Hikaru, timing the attack to coincide with his arrival. Hikaru however met the attack with nothing but dismissal, drawing his blade in a flash, countering the man's attack as Kazesenkou's quick edge deflected the man's attack and then replaced itself in it's sheath only a split second later. the deflection had been quick enough and powerful enough to throw the man off balance as Hikaru quick brought his foot up, planting it directly into the man's stomach as he was thrown backwards, reeling in pain from the strong kick.
Wasting no time, the other bandit charged Hikaru, but it would prove to be utterly useless as Hikaru spun around, his arm flowing with a strange wind pattern. Drawing Kazesenkou from it's sheath, so fast was the strike, all that could be seen would be a blue streak through the air as the attack was made. Barely even a sound was registered as Hikaru's sword cut directly through the man's katana, slicing the blade in two pieces as Hikaru quickly followed the movement with a quickened downward slash down across the man' front. In a spray of blood, a line of red emerged across the man's entire body, starting at his upper right shoulder and spanning downward to his lower left leg, the man's face barely having time to change from the shocked expression of his blade being severed before he fell lifeless to the desert floor.
"Arrrrrgghhhh!" The bandit who Hikaru had previously kicked away had charged at him in a fury in seeing his partner felled. The battle had been moving in slow motion to Hikaru however... had someone even spoken to him, he might not have registered it. War was a funny thing with what it did to people, especially young princes charged with the defense of their kingdom. Hikaru's senses were heightened, his body responsive, his adrenaline pumping hard, but his cool intellect guiding his movements. Completely focused, Hikaru didn't lose a step as he brought his sword into his sheath, twisting the blade ever so slightly as he allowed his chakra to flow into the blade. The sudden friction of the blade on the inner metal of the sheath suddenly sent out a wave of shrill noise, a sound wave which instantly pushed out to the surrounding area about 25 feet around him as the charging bandit was forced to bring his hands to his ears, the high-pitched ring of Hikaru's blade flooding his mind as it brought him to his knees.
Without mercy or an ounce of remorse, Hikaru then swiftly turned around, drawing Kazesenkou out of it's sheath once more as he flipped the blade around in the air so it's tip faced down before plunging it into his opponent's back, collapsing the man on the spot. Removing his sword quickly following, only the cold sound of flesh torn by steel was heard as he shook his blade into the wind and ceremonially returned it to his sheath, looking out over the battlefield which had exhausted all it's foes, save one... who he could see was being dealt with.

Kage Konoha | Hyouton | Sannin (Temporary Kage) Kage had rushed forward, ready to charge into the battle and save the foolhardy young Genin when she found herself suddenly stopping, watching the scene between Hikaru and his two assailants unfold. completely focused on him, she ignored the other bandit who was circling around her as he watched Hikaru fight in a way she would never had expected. He was brutal... fast, efficient, and more lethal then his peaceful and polite demeanor would have led on. Kage stood almost in shock at what she saw... not that she was squeamish to the scene in anyway, but more so at the skill and strange abilities the boy had seemed to display in his fight.
He had dispatched both warriors in only three draws of his blade, each one returning the blade to it's sheath after use. So efficient were his movements, that Kage could conclude nothing more then the fact that he had been through war and had seen and experienced battle in a way few others ever would in a time of relative peace. As she watched him ceremonially replace his sword, the movements flowed almost in slow motion as she imagined the boy against the bloody back drop of a war, the sun setting on him with bodies strewn around as visions of the wars she had seen flooded her mind. "He looks so innocent... I would never have imagined such a life."
Suddenly the final bandit emerged, his katana high above his head as he had snuck around Kage, using her distracted view of Hikaru to gain the upper hand as he brought his sword down towards her from behind. Without even turning around however, Kage's hand shot out, grabbing onto the man's left wrist as she halted his attack effortlessly, much to the man's surprise at the woman's strength. The only thing that could be heard next was a distinct crushing noise which could only be the twisting and cracking of bones as the bandit let out a blood curdling scream, his wrist having been instantaneously broken and dislocated with a single forceful twist of Kage's outstretched hand.
The twisting motion forcing him to drop his katana, Kage pulled the man around in front of her, still holding the mangled mess in her tight grip as she dropped her right arm behind her back, making an impressive catch as she caught the hilt of the falling katana perfectly. Spinning the katana around in the air with incredible flare as she brought it from behind her back, Kage stopped the blade's motion as it pointed directly at him on the ground and stabbed it directly into the man's chest, killing him instantly as she released him to fall on the desert sands.
Having not even moved a single step to the left or the right in the process showed just how incredible was the gap in power between the Sannin and the bandits as she could have effortlessly killed all of them without even breaking a sweat. In the end, the scenario, though she did not know it when it first erupted onto the scene, had allowed kage to examine her new team and see how they would operate on the field... "Tyson sure had some promising ninja here... I have all the more confidence in them after seeing this." Turning to see how Deil and Misuki had fared, she saw that each had seemed to handle their foes impressively well, though it seemed like Deil had taken a lot of hits somewhat carelessly, seeming however none the worse for ware even after having been deeply gashed twice. "Alright kiddos... not so bad for your first mission. Now let's high-tail it out of here and get back to Konoha."
"I'm here when I need to be."
