Ama nodded. 'Yeah, the HQ isn't too far ahead. Hopefully my dad's home, if not he's probably out exploring again." Taking him by the elbow, she lead him through the familiar forest up to the HQ building. "I hope you at least recognize this place...."

The forest was lightly familiar... but as they exitted the forest and the HQ came into view that look of confusion crossed the male's eyes once more "thought you said the HQ wasnt far, what is that?" he points at the lighthouse, he wasnt aware that the magical building had changed forms from what it had been to the new appearance it now held.

Ama sweatdroped. "Well, that would be the HQ..." She looked at him strangely. "Do you really not recognize it?" Walking up the steps, she held the door open for him.

"The HQ looked something like a mansion last time I had been to it. Not a lighthouse" he frowns slightly and wonders just what the guardians were up to... He walks in and looks around definetaly not what he remembered but somehow had a familiar feel to it just the same.

She gave him an apologetic smile, leading him down the halls. "Our place is this way." It seemed that they walked forever until they came to a door with Bird of Paradise blooms hanging around it. Opening the door, Ama gestured for Thom to walk in. "Here we are!"

"Fancy" he muses and walks through the opened door "You like flowers I take it" he glances at her and then around him to take in his surroundings

"My dad, actually. I just haven't found a place to move out to yet on my own. He uses the Bird of Paradise to ravel... like, he can travel through the blooms; kinda his special power I guess." Looking through the books, she pulled out a few, thumbing through them. "Alright dad... where didja put it...." She muttered to herself before pulling out a book and grinning. "Here it is!"
Handing him the book, she opened it to a page where the passage began about the island's before and after about the island's decent and the changes. "There should be information about Naiads and Fauns in there too."

"Interesting and unique" he muses but says nothing more as she searches for a book. He waits patiently and then takes the book as he is passed it "Thanks" he says as his eyes focus on the pages in front of him and he sinks into the closest chair available to read. he is mostly silent though he murmurs slightly as he reads the pages, he's a pretty quick reader, but not a speed reader "Wow" he says quietly after a good 15 minutes of reading

Ama had walked into the kitchen and put some tea on the stove; a habit that she'd picked up from her father. "Do you like tea at all?" She called out from the room, peeking out to him.

"Hmmm?" He looks up from the pages he was still reading "Tea? Yeah sure, sounds good thanks" he nods and retruns to reading now coming across the information about the new alignments he was not previously familiar with. His brow lifts a little but he was still reading, finding the information interesting.

Waiting for the water to boil, AMa ground some dried fruits and tea leaves, putting them in the mesh strainer in the kettle before pouring the water into it and placing the lid on. Grabbing a few cups, she put it on a tray and brought it out. "Is it helping at all with your questions?"

Thom motions a 'one moment' with a finger as he finishes off the paragraph he'd been reading then looked up and nodded. "Yeah, looks like a lot has changed... I'll have to see if my home still exists" he adds the last part not really sounding all that hopeful. Even his grandmother's home was gone so he didnt hold high hope.

Ama frowned a little. "I hate to say this, but the chances are really slim... A while back we were hit with a really bad monsoon that caused a lot of damage to some homes. No one seemed to be hurt in all of it, but it still was a pretty big thing." Plopping herself next to him on the couch, she poured him some tea. "So, any idea where you're going to live?"

He shakes his head "If my home is gone then no, no idea really but then I obviously dont know as much as I'd like to know about the island anymore" Thom motions the book still open in his lap with one hand, his other hand accepting the tea she'd poured.

Ama set her cup down and got up, walking over to the nearest shelf of loose papers. Pulling them out and holding them in her arms, she thumbed through them until she pulled out a large, folded piece. "Here, this is a current map of the island my dad made. Does any of these places look like where you used to live? Maybe we can go see if it's still there!"
