I personally like Dead or Alive Ultimate, but the online play still laggs tremendously crying .

Just picked up VF4 Evo. It's the first in the series that I've played, and I'm lovin' it. I like the 10th anniversary game, too. I can't wait for Tekken 5, though.
Anyone else here ever play Last Blade? It was an SNK game set around the late 1800s. It was absolutely gorgeous!

i am unbeatable wit Steve in Tekken 4 cause of his dodges an "Dempsey Roll" (not sure of game name but thats wat its modeled after) move i can kll nebody fast....MUAHAHAHAHA

Laren Just picked up VF4 Evo. It's the first in the series that I've played, and I'm lovin' it. I like the 10th anniversary game, too. I can't wait for Tekken 5, though. I liked SNK's Mark Of The Wolves better. What character are you in VF4? I usually use Shun Di or Kage.

I'm going through Quest Mode with Pai right now, and learning a lot about the system and how the moves work. That mode is an incredible learning device for the game. I lub it. I've gotten a LOT better at the game by playing through Quest.
My wife says that Lion resembles me in style, so I'm thinking of trying him out next, but I don't really like a lot of his customizations (a motorcycle helmet?).

well 2 games Im addicted too atm! one is real life! we played it last night...man hunt xd where my Dad lives is in the country-- so we play it! all the older kids of the village! (about 12 guys 14-19) and (4girls! all 16!) we play it in the dark and have this mountain we play it on! its such a scary game I hide and crouch there scared out of my wits!! gonk lol!! the always ambush you and knock u flying!! and then u have too leg it as fast as you can and if they catch u for more than 4seconds ur on with them and have to go round catching people xd
(my inner child released when playing this! I let go and have such a laugh!!)
man hunt is a really cool game xd except that the guys that catch u are mostly older and bigger, so can just kinda scooop you up and then ur caught and cant get out! gonk I was demonstrating some tkd to them and one of them is going to try it out!! xd soo cool!
anyway ps2 wise Im addicted to getaway black monday...basically ur a cop/snipper who goes round with his team kicking the baddies! xd u snipe ur way round and then have big shoot outs, u grapple and arrest people, u drive police cars in high speed chases and its awesome xd
waw i sound so immature!

TEKKEN 5 RULES MY a**!!!! Damn me and my addictive nature!!! I cannot rest until I've beaten the game with every character and got them all to at least sho dan!! (The characters go up in rank as you play!!!)

Nah, but they set you up with harder opponents. I'm with Marty in being addicted to T5. It's absolutely GORGEOUS. I just beat the game with Baek last night. I love his ending.
Full explanation:
T5 has an Arcade Mode, wherein you play as though in an arcade. You get a rank (Beginner, 9th - 1st Kyu, 1st - 10th Dan, etc.), and as you rise in rank, you get harder opponents to face. You also earn money to spend on customizations for your character. Many characters have a third costume, and all of them have various colors and props to add (my personal favorite is that you can give Lei Wulong his Jacky Chan hair from back in the day).

OMG I really only play fighting games... and a few other games...
Tekken is my thing.. me and my friend are trying to raise money to make our charries look like Julia and Xiaoyu. I haven't gotten Tekken 5 yet, hopefully I will get it for my birthday (March 29th). I am not a fan of Virtua Fighter because of the storyline and the weird controlling, and I am for the old school Mortal Kombat. What they have now is just gruesome and disgusting. King of Fighters is friggin' awesome.. I love to the team battles... ^^ May and Kim is my faves. Soul Calibur I never really played, but it seemed like an okay game...

Marty: Who's your best? I like Jin personally. He uses a lot of techniques I do and I relate to the whole karate family thing. If I want to beat someone down hard, I go with Haihachi (who looks way too much like my dad). I try to keep it balanced. I've beaten the game with all of the characters so now I'm working on raising some character levels and getting some items. Funny thing is that even though I gravitate towards the Mishima/Kazama characters I beat the game fastest with Bruce.

The greatest thing about T5 is that you can play the first three Tekken games on the disk! It's only the arcade version, but that's plenty for me.
It kills me now to play T1 because that was my first Playstation game and remember vividly drooling over the "cutting edge" graphics. Man, the difference 10 years makes....

It sounds bloody awesome, I'm not into beatemups but I've always liked tekken, I got hooked about T2 (not quite the old gent you are marty xp wink ) and played them since, fav characters have to be hwarrang (TKD what can I say) and nina for her counters. Does T5 have extra games like tekken bowl in tekken tag?

It has a copy of the game Starblade, the arcade versions of Tekkens 1-3, and a third-person action-adventure game called Devil Within, where you run around as Jin and beat the crap out of people. There are also the now-Tekken-standard Theatre and Jukebox modes.
Note to T5 players: If you go through Devil Within a second time, you can get some of the more expensive items (such as Jin's Wings). All of the items you get are 500,000G.
