Kay didn't notice the other boy's discomfort; why would he? He didn't think it was anything to be upset about! He waited for the pair to finish paying, and once he headed out the door...he realized something that was...rather important.
"...I don't live anywhere near here!" He laughed out, holding his bag against his chest. The Shaman had gotten so caught up in hunting down a fellow Curio that he totally went to the wrong grocery store. Oops! His home was practically on the other end of town! "I should prolly split...I think Na might be worried. Oh but hey! You'll come visit me at the shop again, wontcha, Dei?" He stared eagerly at his new and pink haired friend, his red eye widening in an attempt at the puppy dog look.

Deimos starred at Kay, surprise on his face, as the boy suddenly realized that he was no where near where he lived. He blinked slowly then gave another soft chuckle. Kay was funny he thought to himself with a bit of a grin, that he could end up so far away from where he should be but still seem so happy about it.
"Umm... maybe." He said, giving a little smile, he did want to see Kay again though the idea of visiting the shop wasn't something he liked as much... that place scared him just a little after his last visit. Then again there were few things out there that didn't scare Deimos in some form or another, "I do want to see you again." He admitted, words that surprised his Momma just a little bit.
Jiang looked between the pair, smiling. That Deimos wanted to go and visit with someone, especially in a place that scared him, had the Kirin quite happy. It meant that he was started to come out of his shell even if just a little.

Kay looked around, then found a pen in his pocket (whoa, he forgot about that!). Giving a proud little laugh, he lifted a knee, his foot against his standing shin, and wrote on the back of the paper with his grocery list on it. Using his left hand and in rather messy writing he wrote 'Kay', followed by his home phone number and the shop's number, then handed the paper back to Deimos. "Just in case, yeah?" He chattered happily. The pen was capped and shoved back into his pocket.
The Shaman boy waved to the rainbow haired Guardian, then hugged Deimos tightly (personal boundaries WHAT?), patting his new friend on the head once he let go. "Cya around, mmkay? Bye bye!" Waving again, he took off down the street, turning to wave once more before he disappeared around a corner.

Deimos looked down at the paper that he was handed then gave a squeak as he was hugged by his friend. He starred at him, wide eyed as Kay gave him a pat on the head before retreating. He lifted a hand to wave in a slight dazed manner before he looked down at the paper, reading it over before he tucked it safely away into the robes that he was wearing, not wanting to risk it getting lost. His attention then went back to Jiang.
The kirin gave his son a smile, "Come on, let's get going home I still need to start dinner while you watch television." He said as he took Deimos's hand and they started out of the store and toward home.
