The area was in complete and total tormoil. There wasn't much left of the 'secret' underground area of the Shinra building but Ceh had a funny feeling that this was just a small section of it. He noticed that the area surrounding the portal was still well and in tact meaning that there was something being used to draw the monsters away... Shinra and their tricks again he was sure.
It wasn't his issue though, he had to get out of here and do it fast. Carrying the still unconcious girl, he knew he had to get out of here as quickly as possible... well, as quickly as carrying mother nature's joke of a 19 year old. Seriously, he always remember the 19 year old form when he was ounger a being nice and juicy... what happened to the good old days anyway?
He became distracted as he heard footsteps rushing down the hall towards him. They were a mixture regular footsteps and metal on metal... something robot was traveling either with whoever was coming... or after them. He paused for a moment and listened... the steps weren't hurried, they were uniform... the thing was traveling with them.
Ceh looked about for a moment but soon realized there wasn't anywhere for him to go. He sighed a bit and adjusted the girl on his waist... he'd have to fight his way through here if they were army. Maybe he could talk his way out...
They rounded the corner and he prepared for anything.
[even, try talking, odd, fight]

Coming around the bend was a gathering of SOLIDER and 2 mechanical assistant. Only the leader of the unit and the two robots would stop to glance at Ceh who was carrying Seirra out.
"You! Don't move! What's your business down here? Don't you know how dangerious it is around here?" The man went for his blade, he obviously wasn't new at this. Everything in Ceh begged him to grab his own blades and cut his way through but that might cause more trouble than it was worth. Sides, these guys weren't his direct issue. If he got into a fight with them, it might draw more monsters and with the nature reject on his back, he couldn't really deal with al that.
The portal... that was it. "Hey man... I'm not sure where the duce we are? Is this the other side?"
He was hoping the guy bought it...

The man looked to Ceh for a moment then simply snorted. "The other side you say? You came through the portal I take it? Listen, we have more important things to worrybout than you at the moment. Take the girl up this ramp and to the elevator. Take it to the 10th floor and they'll treat you there."
Without another word, the man took off to catch up with his squad. Ceh looked as they moved off and he headed towards the elevator. However, he'd get off a bit earlier than the 10th floor... like the basement floor parking garage.
Looking around, the place seemed to be holding up fairly better than the places below. A few fallen pillars here and there but nothing a little elbow grease and cold hard cash wouldn't be able to fix.
The most important thing now was transportation. He found it in, surprissingly, short order. What with the attack below, several higher ranking employees had been given 'free leave' of the place. Of course, that was just to stop any riots or freaking out.
A screeching of tires drew Ceh's attention to a car that had been trapped by a group of wolfs, no doubt from the lower floors. Ceh had a few moments to think about how they got up there but in that time, they'd probably have already pounced through the windsheild and make a snack out of the people in the car. Moving closer, Ceh sighed and moved over towards the area. Within the car ws a balding man in a suit far to small for him but it looked quite expensive. Next to him was a gorgious woman that didn't seem to know exactly what was going on but she knew how to scream.
On the walk over, Ceh was debating on bargining with them: I kill the monsters, you give me a ride. However, with every step he took towards the car, the woman's screams drilled into his head more and more. Eventually, he couldn't take it anymore.
Moving into a dash, he would leap into the air and over the wolfs. A loud thud would cause everyone, monsters and people, to jump a bit as he landed on the hood of the car. Figuring the fat b*****d couldn't hear him over the woman's screams, Ceh simply pointed to the doors. The man would shake his head furious at that prospect.
Another heavy sigh left the lips of the annoyed Al bhed. He was about to raise thrust a blade right through the car when he heard a final yip from the wolf pack behind him. he knew the sound all to well. One had taken a bold leap towards the man. Ceh would bend his body down to the one side to allow the beast to sail right over him. The sound of claws cutting into steel would grate on Ceh's nerves but not nearly as much as the woman's screams growing in power. This had to stop and now.
Raising one hand to the sky, Ceh began an incantation. The words were low and in the language of the Al Bhed. Before it could move again, the wolfs would become startled. The pack on the ground would scatter and the one on the car would begin to look up and about. Small yips would follow as something was pelting it from no where and finally, a huge chunk of the ceiling would come sailing down and smash into the beast, imprinting it in the car's roof..
The shrilling shreaks would now be doubled as the man had joined in. Fortunatly, the doors wouldn't hold the frantic efforts of the two people desperatly trying to get out. The fat man proved to be faster than his half dressed cohort as they rushed back towards the elevators.
Ceh didn't care, he wanted out of this place and now. He would knocked the wolf off the roof of the car and then get in, tossing Seirra to the back like so much extra baggage. He would then close the doors and take off out of the Shinra Building.

Ceh would sigh a bit as he drove down the streets of Midgar. It brought back to many memories and made him ill really. Mostly because he knew that right under his feet, there were people suffering thanks to these damn high living bastards. This entire place use to be a huge forest set within a vally that spewed natural resources but when the portals came into existance and the people from the Shinra corporation found out how fertil this area was, they jumped on the chance to expand here, calling it some sort of 'Promised Land' or some crap.
Granted, this was well before Ceh's time but he knew the stories thanks to his family.
His mind shot back to the present as he realized how empty the streets were. Midgar didn't know the meaning of the word 'sleep'. There was always something going on somewhere and people out and about... something was up. It then struck him that the beasts may have already reached the outside. He took another breath and just let it out slowly and groaned... this wasn't going to be an easy day...

He would round a corner and begin to speed up a bit. He was leaving the industrial area's and entering the further reaches Midgar and the residential areas. Still little sign of life around here.
Glancing about, he saw a few people out but most were heading inside, just getting home from work probably. He looked down at the clock situated on the high end dash board and realized it was cracked and unreadable. Probably thanks to the comet that struck the roof. How cheap: one mid level spell and the damn clock doesn't work. If it was his car, he'd take it back to the dealership and make them repair it... of course, it wasn't his car.
Come to think of it, he had no clue who's it was and decided he needed something to do to occupy his time driving. He was headed to Jun-on and, while there was a road directly there from Midgar, it still wasn't a short ride by any means. Ceh opened the glove compartment and began to rummage through the guys stuff.

The usual stuff really... registration, insurance papers, a few cards... why is it that no one ever actually carried GLOVES in their glove compartment?
A ray of light struck Ceh in the eyes and he realized he had exited Midgar proper. To be honest, there was no real 'exiting' Midgar till you either crossed the mountains or crossed the bridge at Jun-on. The plates extended even out into what was still called the 'country side' even though there wasn't much 'country' about them. The road would twist and turn, mimicing a real road governed by the terrain even though there was no terrain up here. Just steel and buildings as far as the eye could see.
One thing of note that caught his attention were the 'pipes'. Holes in the steel infostructure that allowed shafts or 'pipes' of light down on the slums that were below the plates. These few places of light were highly saught and usually cost a pretty penny to have any land that bathed in them. Ceh remembered the times he would play with his friends, running from 'pipe' light to 'pipe' light.
His mind was called back from wandering as he heard a thud in the back. Apparently, on the road of life, there were many bumps and turns, and some can cause unconcious passengers to go sailing right to the floor of the car. Ceh looked back to ehr then figured she was more secure down there anyway and left here there.

Jun-on was on the horizon now... he could see it off in the distance. The car was making pretty good time all things considered. He had long since given up on finding any good music in the car as all the guy had was oldies or sexual songs. For some odd reason, Ceh just wasn't feeling very perverted what with just finding out the world may be ******** and carrying a girl who looked no more than 12.
It was a fine time to reflect n his life and realized that he couldn't remember the last time he'd gotten any... he thought on it and realized he had been looking at these damn portals for so long and not really attending to 'other' needs. He glanced back to Seirra and then shook his head. It wasn't that she was asleep that stopped him, it was the fact that he just didn't watn to be a ***** really.
