The guys' names are based on Japanese numbers and all that jazz:
Sanzo (San) = 3
Gojyo (Go) = 5
Hakkai (Hachi) = 8
Goku (Ku) = 9
Hence, Sanzo/Gojyo = 35, 53, 353, or 535. It's all in the seme/uke order, I guess whee
