50th anniversary 1954 stratocaster.
this Fender Stratocaster right here comes with 3 new guitars only bieng made this year, Bearing acessories such as Custom Shop Vintage 1954 single coil pickups The 1954's pickups are hand-wound by Abigail Ybarra, who created some of Fender?'s earliest single-coils, a special 50th anniversary neck plate which comes in an also limited edition U Shape , and Parchment style knobs, gotta love it, and pickup covers. This model also uses the Delta Tone system, which comes with a high output bridge pickup a slightly modded tone control for the middle and bridge pickups. with 22.5 frets comes in 2 different sunburst colors, and enables most rock while bieng able to use low notes you can quickly switch to a high note without worrying about the note bieng muted...tiz a good acessory there and would probaably be found to be better used for left handed playing, which is a comfortable supreme palm full.
Sound-9/10 Durability/Reliability-10/10 Customer Support -8/10 Action, Fit, Finish -10/10 Features-high tone low tone acceptance Overall Rating-9 tis a nice guitar to play but needs a new look on the shape...thank you
this was my rating on the 50th anniversary 1954 stratocaster.

I have tried out the Meas-Boogie Dual Rectifier with Recyo cabs in the shop with a Gibson Les Paul Classic. Channel 1 creates a very infleuncing, 3 dimensional sound to my acoustic respondeses. Channel 2 has the infamous growl and soaring gain that marked the amp on the map for so many years. It has a dynamic response to my LP's character. For the 2 channel's very dynamic sound and gruesome gain, the amp contains various tubes, as 6L6's and EL-34's. If you want the distortion of a beast, try the Dual Rectifier today!

Hmmm... Well, here's a mini-review of a G&L Tribute Legacy Stratocaster, 3 single-coil pickups. (It comes in two basic versions, one with 3 single-coil pickups and one with 2 single-coil pickups and a humbucker.) The color is Redburst. (Discontinued color for this model... Wheee....)
Anyways, it has a very nice sound, much better than quite a few guitars I've played. The neck is actually thinner than some, but it's very comfortable, feels more like moving your hand across silk than wood. It's a bit heavier than some guitars, although I like this feeling, makes me feel like I won't break it. It's very well made and sturdy, it doesn't feel like I'm going to break it. Frets are well sized and the strings press down cleanly, eliminating the buzzing I've heard on some with bad frets. The action isn't too high or too low, and the sound is actually very versatile. I've played pretty much everything from blues to metal and it handles it all rather well, although not quite as well as some guitars made especially for that style.
Sound - 10/10. Great sound for many genres. Durability/Reliability - 8/10. Small flaw with hookup, the nut sometimes likes to fall off if you don't pay enough attention to how well it's on and is a hassle to put back on. Customer Support - Not a clue, never really needed it. Whenever I have a problem, it goes back to the private business that sold it to me which is run by professionals who aren't employees of any customer support G&L has. Action, Fit, Finish - 10/10. Lovely. Features - 8/10 A bit spare, just the standard ones - 5 position pickup selector, 3 single coil pickups, etc. Overall Rating - 9/10.

Review for Crate GX212 amplifier
Sound: Excellent. It has three channels: clean, rhythm, and lead. They all have exceptional sound. The distortion chanels also have a "shape" controll that realy gives you the tone your looking for.
Durability/Reliability: Excellent. This amp is made for professional and semi-professionals. It feels like you could drop it a couple times and it wouldnt even feel it.
Customer Support: With a 5 year warranty on the amp and a 2 year warranty on the speakers, I would say Crate offers pretty good customer support.
Features: 2 custom 12'' speekers 120 watts 3 channels and a pedal to switch between them Flexwave 5 preamp
Overall Rating 10/10: If you want your own tone, and not someone elses you get when you go for a digital modeling amp, there is no other competition for the price. I got mine at guitar center for about 350$. Its plenty loud enough for practice/rehersals and venues. I would highly recomend it.

Guitar
Epiphone SG special
Westfield E2000 SG
Sound: 7/10 The sound quality is overall average. The pickups are on the milder side, But are very bassy. For instance, even when only on the neck pickups, its very... bassy. lol. Its good for Rock, but kinda crappy for jazz.
Durability/Reliability: 7/10 This guitar is hard to put a dent into. Ive had it for years, and i havn't put a single scratch or anything into it. And im a clumsy guy. Its good.
Customer Support: ?/10 I havnt had to speak to them yet, so yeah...
Action, Fit, Finish: Features: 6/10 I like the pickup selector switch. Lol i have no clue why but i do. However, the action is... too low. Even set at its highest its like butter. The finish, is a different story. I have a cherry red SG and its absolutely beautiful. lol
Overall Rating: 8/10 Generally, a very good guitar. There are some bad points, but for about 250 american this is a quality beginners guitar.

Product: DiMarzio "Humbucker from Hell", DP156 Placement: Neck Guitar: Epiphone Les Paul Std. Sound: Way freaking better than the old neck pickup. The sound is rich, clean and ringing. It's got a higher treble than most neck pickups, so with the proper set of amps and cabs you can probably make it sound like an acoustic guitar. No Joke. Durability/Reliability: I dunno whether I should fill this one out. So far the thing has just chimed for me, no problems, but I've only had it for a few days. Customer Support: The outlet that I got the pickup from was very friendly and had lots of ideas for installation. The luthier showed me through the installation instructions(Included with the pickup) and made me realize the simplicity of the installation. As for dimarzio, there is a warranty slip in the package which I hope never to have to use. Action, fit and Finish: The Dimarzio line comes with dozens of finishes, but being simple I went for the "black pair of single coil pickups" look. The only real problem I had with the installation was the way it sat in the pickup holster. It seemed that the strings were causing the pickup to move from either one side or the other hard... sort of popping in and out of joint. I was a little unhappy about this so I simply put an elastic band beside the pickup while it was in the guitar to "Lock" it into place. The installation was clean and simple, soldering two wires together and then soldering 3 more to the pot was a quick exercise, however I reccomend seeing a luthier before attempting this on your own. (At least practice making your own guitar cables) Features: um... just check out the Dimarzio site for more Detailed information. It's a humbucking pickup... you can split the coils.... um.... I think that's it. Overall Rating: 10/10. I love this thing to death. I've still got the original bridge pickup in my guitar to compare the two and they are night and day. there's a much hotter output and a much brighter, cleaner sound. If you want the Joe Satch sound, Pick this one up. It's Nuts. I'd Kill the MoFo that steals this or even looks at it wrong. I'd replace it, but I'd have to do some castorating first. I love this thing. On a side note: I'll have another pickup to rate in the next few weeks: The PAF Pro from Dimarzio. I plan to put it in the bridge on my guitar.

Jackson SL-3 (Soloist) Its called the Jackson Soloist for a reason. If you like to solo, this guitar is for you!
Sound-9
This guitar sounds great! People complain by saying that because its a Jackson, a guitar geared toward the Metal Head, that it should be "hotter." Seriously tell them to shut up because this thing will melt your freking face off! This thing is a metal heads dream! The SD Hot Rails act as HB's, great for canceling unwanted noise. The SD JB Humbucker works great with the Hot Rails, also making the Soloist a very capable guitar in the Clean channel. This setup provides a good thump of bass in Rythem and Screaming-Scorching highs in lead. Don't worry, this guitar is not desinged for New Metal(a type of metal where the mids are alot of the time "scooped" to acheive a dumb retarted gut wrenching sound) It is very capable of sounds from Classic Rock, to Death Metal.
Playability-10
Its a Soloist! it was desinged with playability in mind. The Neck is Neck Through, and it is also very thin. Just the way us Metal Heads like it. xd There is a deep cut-away which allows easy access even at the highest frets. The Floyd is not an ORIG Floyd, but still very capable. One of Jackson's Finest Floyds if I may add. This thing never goes out of tune, I love it!
Durability-9
Some say that when Fender bought out Jackson, the quality of the Axes went down. Well....they're right, but this is still a very durable guitar. I have had no problems with it at all. Not only is it stage worthy, I would trust my life with it!
Custome Support-10
I bought this guitar from guiarexpress.com. Not only did they give me a better price, there support kicks a**.
Conclusion In Conclusion this guitar is a great tool for shredding. Many people are turned off by the fact that it is desinged for Metal Heads. I say give this guitar a chance! It is very capable of playing many types of music. It sounds great, plays great, and is very durable. And for a stariting price at around $900(only at guitarexpress.com xd ) You really can't go wrong.
Overall rating 10/10

Review of LINE 6 Guitar Port. $99 What it is: It is a computer port for your guitar. You plug in, and can go online and download various lessons - from basic technique stuff to full guitar tab, with or without the guitar parts. Membership is required for downloading.. otherwise all you get to use are the MANY MANY amp settings. There are over 100 unique sounds. Impressive Features: All the amp settings make it easy for you to play with pedals, mic placement, etc. You can play right along with say, Led Zepplin -- the guitar parts can be shut off so that it is YOU playing lead. Wicked cool! Scrolling tabs ... as the music plays, so does your tab. Scrolling tabs ... needs to be mentioned twice. Guitar tuner Slow downer and looper Drawbacks: Not a huge selection of "newer" rock. Heavy on Classic Rock/Blues. They add more everyday though. Why you would want this: If you are trying to learn various riffs/songs/techniques this is like a personal instructor.. being able to actually HEAR what it is supposed to sound like is a big help when you are not real familiar with the whole song. It also helps a lot with your timing.. you never realize just how slow Stairway to Heaven is until you play with them! Overall.. it is a great gadget that is fun to use and gives you the ability to learn a song REAL fast. Also has a lot of industry news and history of song and such. If you have $99 to blow (and good computer speakers) pick it up and have some fun! UPDATE! |

The ROLAND MICRO CUBE AMP $120
If you are looking for a portable practice/jam amp with some bite, check out the Roland Micro Cube. It is maybe 8x8x5 inches, lightweight, and can run off an outlet or 6 AA batteries (15 hours on batteries). It is a very versitile amp, giving you great metal crunch to a very clean acoustic sound. Packed in this amp are Boss effects - Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Tremelo. Other setting options you have are: acoustic, JC Clean, Black Panel, Brit Combo, Classic Stack, R-Fier stack and Mic. Of course, there is tone, delay, reverb, gain... and volume.. smile Not sure on Wattage, but it cranks loud enough to be a nusiance to others. The sound quality is pretty decent (but I am not a real expert on amps..). I have played both my Ibanez acoustic electric and my Ibanez Prestige through it and was pleased with the noise.. err.. sound.
Unexpected feature: A TUNER! push a button and you can hear either A, A flat, and A "double flat")
So.. sounds good, has nice effects, portable (like.. bring it to the park or something!) versatile, and well... cheap! I recommend it..

VINTAGE V991BK : : LES PAUL COPY
Sound Vintage uses Wilcinson pickups on their guitars. While being a cheap alternative to any other pickups around, the saying still remains: "you get what you pay for"
On clean you get a very thick sounding tone, and on overdrive you get a crisp 'twang' on your chords. I would prefer to get more acoustic sounding pickups on this guitar, and the stock one's are generally crap. Replace ASAP.
Durability/Reliability This is a very heavey guitar, if you drop it it would thud. I have yet to cause a scratch on it. Customer Support N/A Action, Fit, Finish This is where the guitar really fails.
The plastic on the guitar is stained green in spots, and I'm pretty sure it isn't supposed to be that way. The plastic is weak and likely to break. Again, replace ASAP.
There is alot of rattle on the frets, the tone and volume knobs brush against the body, it doesn't stay in tune for very long and the build quality is very crap.
Features None. It's a guitar, and a crap one at that. Overall Rating: 3/10
You can do alot better for the money paid. Heck, a squire would be better.
Ignore all other reviews, stay away from Vintage.

Product: Dimarzio PAF Pro DP 151 Position: Bridge Guitar: Epiphone Les Paul standard 1992 model Sound: Hot. That's the best way to describe this one. Hot. It's got a really sharp bite to the sound with any amount of distortion on it and it feeds back fairly easily(but it doesn't squeal like the last one; it wails). It has a very vintage sound, but it can be tweaked and modified to sound very different. In short, with the Humbucker from hell, I have the range that I need: Joe Satriani or John Petrucci based sound in the neck and a Jimmy Page sound in the bridge (these are just reference. I don't try to copy these guys, but I try to learn from what they do) Durability: It's had No problems so far. I'll edit this if anything goes wrong. Customer Support: I had this pickup shipped from somewhere in Pennselvania, and the damn thing got lost in customs. I still haven't seen it. This one is the second one, shipped 7 weeks after the first and 6 days before I recieved it. As far as the rest of it goes, the Dimarzio satisfaction is guaranteed. If you don't like it, then they'll replace it for you. No questions asked. Action fit and finish: The installation went as smoothly as the last time around, and in fact much more so. I simply took everything off the guitar and replaced the bridge PU. Wiring was the same and it took little time at all. It has a great look to it, however I would have perferred it to be the same color as the neck PU, with the silver pole pieces(or the other way around). The pole pieces adjust with an allen wrench(supplied). Overall Rating: 10/10. I just wish that I hadn't had to wait so damn long. I love this thing just as much as the Neck PU, and the guitar sounds a hell of a lot better than it ever has. I think that the combination of the two will really add some serious dynamics to my sound. Love this one!

Review for Guitar:
Washburn WG-587 7-StringPicSound: 9/10 I love it. The stockpickups give great overdrive and sustain, but I have a feeling the wiring is faulty. They do cut in and out occasionally. The only other problem is fretbuzz, but that's normal for a guitar for this price. Durability/Reliability: 7/10 As said before, the pups cut in and out, which cuts back on the reliability score. However, the guitar itself is very durable. I have dropped it quite a few times (and once almost ontop of a pair of scissors), and the finish has yet to obtain a scratch. There's also a problem with the input jack nut; it has a very annoying habit of coming off, and it's a pain in the a** to put back on once it falls off. Customer Support: N/A Haven't had to deal with them yet, although I probably should because of the pup problem. But that's what I'm (hopefully) replacing the pups for. Features: 9/10 -7 Strings -3 Way switch -1 Volume and 1 tone knob The knobs for volume and tone aren't labeled, but figuring out which is which isn't a problem. Overall Rating: I'd give it an 8/10. I love the guitar, but some of the problems it has prevent it from getting a 10. This is a great guitar for those who are just getting into 7-Strings, mainly because of the price, but the guitar itself is great too. I won mine off an auction on eBay for $153.49, however it runs for $199.99 on Music123, which really isn't that bad either. Great guitar for the price.
