Mucephi's aim held true and the creature let out another monstrous shriek as the rock collided with its head. Although it had nearly reached Corvus by this point, the hurled object was successful in turning its attention away from the branch-wielding senshi - but not before one long vine swung out, lashing and forcing the first target to fly back from the hit.
Attention now on the senshi of blood, the vine-arms whipped out and encircled themselves around the dark haired girl, staining her fuku with the green ooze pouring out of multiple wounds.
Immediately it began to absorb her energy, the glow around the vines growing even brighter than when they'd drained Vera. Apparently, senshi energy was far more powerful than a common civilian's, and the monster seemed to take delight in this realization, judging by the giant grin now spreading across its face (if you could even call it a face!).

The sensation of flying seemed to be one that Sailor Corvus was becoming used to, although the more it happened the less she liked it she thought as her back hit the trunk of a nearby tree. She arched before collapsing to the ground, taking a moment to regain her bearings... Perhaps a moment too long.
"No!" She cried out as she saw the vines encircle the other scout. The other girl had been right to worry when she'd picked up the branch... And now it was her fault that she was being attacked by the monster. Her fault for having such a stupid, useless attack.
"No." She steeled herself, planting her feet on the ground as she brought her hands together. "You've just made your first mistake of the night, ugly. You should've kept your attention on me. I call upon Corvus and the power of the stars... Revenge!" She packed her pain and frustration into a ball of negative energy, flinging it with as much force as she could in the direction of the monster's grinning face.

Well that wasn't quite the effect she'd hoped for. Then again, who -did- hope to be grabbed by plant monsters. She was more startled than anything, but goodness...she was also starting to feel kind of... woozy. Oh dear. Thank god there was another Senshi here... She had to try and help she decided, better that she do that then play the damsel in distress, even if...she sort of was. She jammed her finger hastily onto her brooch pin again and winced, driving it deeper than she had intended in haste.
"Prepare to bleed! -Bad Blood!" She called just behind the Corvus cry of revenge.

There was no time to shriek, there was no time to react. Mucephi's needles combined with Corvus's attack bombarded the creature, who let go of the girl with a hiss. As the quartet looked on (Vera still out cold from the attack), the giant plant monster, face blown away by the energy of Revenge and arms still flailing wildly from the Bad Blood, began to fade away. It let out one final hiss before dissolving entirely into the air, the only remaining evidence of its existance being the ooze on Mucephi's fuku and a ... card? There, on the ground where the monster once stood, lay a blank card, the image on it entirely black. The senshi of blood warily reached out to take hold of it, but as soon as her fingers brushed the edge of the paper, it flew off, as if carried by an invisible string. It sailed off into the darkness of the park's trees, and the group remained bewildered, silence overtaking them. That is, until the darkness began to giggle. It was difficult to distinguish the giggle's owner from the shadows of the cluster of trees. However, the figure soon stepped forward, and the silhouette becoming slightly more recognizable. She looked like a child. In fact, she looked like a child that had just raided Ume's closet, the outfit covered in bows and frills to match what appeared to be excessively curly hair. None of the group could determine any colors on the girl or clothing, the shadows doing well to hide away any pertinent facial features on the child. More importantly, however, was that the stranger had the card. The card that had been a vicious plant monster only moments before. She was staring at it, flipping it back and forth as if she was making a point to study both sides of the paper. "Poor poor Corsage..." The voice was soft, almost inaudible. Definitely female, but neither senshi nor officer recognized the owner. None of them had any time to investigate further into it, however, as the small child lifted up one hand and waved towards the group, another giggle bubbling up. "Bye byeeeeeee!" Spinning around, her skirt twirled with her as the small girl took off, skipping deeper into the darkness of the trees. In a matter of seconds, she was gone, the echoing giggles vanishing along with the shadowy figure.

Her eyes went wide at the sight of the monster's demise, following the trail of the card's flutter towards the ground. That thing had come... From the card?
She rushed over to the other scout's side, placing one gloved hand on the other girl's arm, body tense as if waiting for the next attack. "Are you alright?" Her voice was low. "We should go. Now. Before those other two get any ideas... C'mon. I can help you, if you need it."
Although she wanted answers she wasn't entirely certain that hanging around the park anymore tonight would be the best way to get them... And besides, she still had to figure out where Ume went. She was going to hate herself forever if anything happened to her.

"I'm flattered, Lieutenant, but it's best to observe new foes and then take action. If the girl's starseed is untouched, who cares if her vitality was stolen? Besides, it seems the senshi are taking care of the little pest," And he paused to allow the sounds of battle to fill the air for a moment before continuing, "So I suggest you work a little harder at covering your a**." His voice was even, almost friendly, but the image of a knife slicing through silk would not be unrelated. The message should be clear; remember your ranking, Uranophane, or he'd take action to put you back in line himself.
His eyes wouldn't even flicker towards the girl's form. "May I remind you, Lieutenant, that we don't have time to waste on coddling and 'preparing' people for our ranks; corruption does that for us. You yourself should have been more concerned with scouting out the area for more creatures like it, or focused on following that one just now, not the fate of a human girl, despite whatever potential you believe she has. Do I make myself clear?" That was a snap, a bite, and he wouldn't think twice about hauling her off for insubordination to Charonite, or worse, Beryl if she thought to defy him.
For a moment, he went rigid as the giggling seemed to sweep from the shadows, and Obsidian would remain tense for several moments as the sharp, girly voice faded off into the distance. Now wasn't that interesting... Something else to look into, he supposed. Ignoring Uranophane, he instead glanced down at the girl, his expression unreadable. "She died back at Barren Pines." That was something interesting.

Uranophane had a dozen questions, a dozen things she could have said in rebuttal, but she gritted her teeth, kept looking straight ahead as she was lectured. Lectured. She was being lectured by Obsidian. The temptation to snap back that corruption did nothing to erase incompetence or stupidity was fierce. Really, there was enough that she could have monologued right back at him, but petty arguing was something she could only do with someone of equal rank. And Obsidian was now a captain. He had authority. He had authority and already knew how to use it.
And questioning it would only hurt her own chances at a promotion, especially when he was irritatingly, nerve-grindingly right.
"Understood, Captain," was all she ended up saying, in her practiced level tone.
The giggling hadn't gone unnoticed by either of them. Uranophane had craned her neck over her shoulder with a puzzled expression, trying to pinpoint the source of the sound to a figure, a silhouette, something. That was strange, it didn't sound like the monster at all -- but given everything that had happened in a short span of time, it seemed unlikely they were unrelated. So that meant there were more, they had another potential enemy --
And then Obsidian was suddenly interested in Vera. This sort of made Uranophane want to tear her own hair out; they'd just heard something potentially important, and instead of fact-checking about it he wanted to talk about the girl.
"That's what I thought," she replied, crossing her arms, eyebrows furrowing over her eyewear, "but then I ran into her last week, alive and well, surprised that anyone had even died. She didn't even know the cover story even though it had been all over the newspapers."

"I...they had a..." She started to protest the civilian. Maybe it was too late? She hadn't -seen- them take a star seed but... Though -he- had a sword... a real honest to god right out of an video game enormous sword of all things. "I don't... " she started
She'd have to pass the word to her team mates about the card monster... but...
"They had a civilian, they'll kill her..." She said anxious.

"You've been weakened by that plantthing and I..." She looked up at the two across from them. Captain, Lieutenant... It clicked with the other Senshi's words of concern as being something that should have clicked long ago along with something that Chloe had told her.
'They are a military run group of people...'
"Negaverse Agents." Her voice was still low, gloved fingers curling to form a fist as her eyes darkening for just a moment before she shook her head. "I can't take them on my own..." One Lieutenant, maybe, two would be pushing it and she'd likely come out worse for wear... But a Captain. How much of a difference was there between their power levels? If his sword was anything to go by, just based on its size alone...
"If they were going to hurt her don't you think they would have by now?"

"I..." Ume started to protest... "I suppose, she... could be related, or a cover... or even one of them." She murmured catching herself on a branch to steady herself. Oh dear...she needed to find Cordelia too. "I suppose you're right..." She bit her lip nervous. She wanted to be strong enough to do more, but at the moment...
"Your right... I have to find my friend as well, perhaps we will meet again!"

Obsidian would watch her with a gleam in his eyes, seconds stretching on into almost a full minute or two before he seemed satisfied. She wouldn't backtalk, and therefore, he didn't have a reason to hit her. The captain shifted his stance minutely, and, had he known that Uranophane was likely pitching a silent s**t fit about his current interests, he'd have oh-so-sweetly informed her that she had a pair of legs; she could damn well walk over and investigate herself.
"Interesting." He said softly, and his fingers flexed for a moment. Had there been things about the project that Charonite had failed to tell them? Undoubtedly; the man was probably too interested in getting his ape-hands all over Nealite's a**, these days.
"Whatever it is, it's gone." He said abruptly, and reached out to clap an unfriendly hand on Uphane's shoulder. It seems like they'd been noticed by their senshi friends, and he was in no mood to play. Not tonight, anyway, he'd been given too many tidbits to chew on. Vera was still in her arms, and so the both of them would be yanked by means of teleportation in front of the nearest hospital. "I expect better from you, JanJan. Don't get careless, no matter how much potential she has."
It may have seemed mocking, but Obsidian didn't warn people he didn't like. Exhausted, but refusing to show it, he leapt to the roof of the building and headed back to his apartment, tongue clicking thoughtfully against his teeth.
