Rushstep watched the clan with a bored expression. There wasn't much to do as an elder. She decided. She strained to see the cats on the other side of camp. Stupid failing eyesight. She cursed to herself.

Aquastreak got up and stretched, her fur ruffled. She sighed. Her blue eyes glittered as she looked around the camp.

Birchpaw decided the nursery needed some fresh bedding. She carried a bundle of moss in her jaws and padded towards the nursery.

I rushed back to camp with the flowers and headed to Wavehearts's
den. "Hey Waveheart, are you there?"

Birchpaw smiled back , and lay down the moss on the ground.
"Hello, Birchpaw." Mewed Birdflight from inside the nursery.
"Hi. We figured you would need more bedding for when the kits come.
"That's very thoughtful of thoughtful of Waveheart, I'll do the bedding for you, you would probably have more important duties to carry out."
Not really.. Birchpaw thought. She decided not to tell the queen she was the one to come here; Medicine cats are more important than the apprentices, so they should be respected more, right?
Birdflight picked up the moss and lined it around the nests.

Birchpaw padded over to the elders' den.
'"Do you need anything Rushstep? Fresh kill, New bedding?"
"We have plenty of moss."

I looked in to the den to find Waveheart resting. "I shouldn't bother her, maybe Birchpaw will know what it is". I went into the clearing to find Birchpaw checking on the elders. "Hey Birchpaw I need to ask you something".

Aquastreak looked at the flowers. She couldn't see them too well, but she could sure smell them. They smelled like... honey? Still, there was something weird about them.

" and she left her only kit to die" * as mosstar stopped chasing the mother, she saw ravenfeather kill the last kit* "great job ravenfeather!" mosstar purred. " but we still have to deal with nightclans prey stealing!"*a growl rose up in mosstars throat at the thought of another cat in her territory.*
