Koyuki watched out of the corner of her eye when Jerome dropped from his branch to make himself comfortable beside her. It was strange to think that they were just under a tree, since it did feel like they'd been staring up into the skies. Slowly turning her head to watch him talk about his experiences and explorations, she could feel a twinge of jealousy of having never left the valley....but a honor that he would share it with her. "It suits her well..." a soft grin toyed with her lips, beautiful but a tempest...sounded right for the AI.
Kits? When had they gotten to that subject! Nearly missing over that fact, the vixen felt that all too familiar blush creep onto her cheeks as he continued. Koyuki couldn't help that she was staring now, lost in thought. She'd been so afraid of living the unpredictable life, to let herself go....and as she looked to the spartan who'd been by her side for a month now....she felt no fear in his presence. Her world was at peace amidst the storm of how relationships would be....and even in such possibly early and foolish notions of love....the vixen knew there was no one she'd rather be with. With this train of thought in motion, she rolled over to prop herself up on her elbow and placed a paw on his chest. "You could have kids anytime you want, Jerome! Like i'd said before....its not like how it used to be...we....we could go to the shop and see...and you could name one a beautiful name of a far off place...."
By now she was red, but embarrassment was the last thing that made her blush now. It was that heated thought of figuring out, that there was a certainty that the large brute of a fox she leaned against was the only one she every wanted to continue to be with. Smiling warmly, she continued on a stronger tone of voice, "I mean...If that is something you want to do....I'd be honored to raise those bowls...er, kids with you!" and she meant it. She wouldn't care if the stork flew them in...anything to keep that smile on Jerome's face that he had now.

At first Jerome's face was in a little smug smile. Oh I know where this is going. He thought coyly to himself. Being a military boy, he never had the chance of just fooled around with anyone..at least not in a sexual way.
He moved up onto an elbow and was reaching to hold the vixen, but stopped when she started talking about going to the shop. What? Why would you want to do it there? he thought as his face melted into confusion hinted with a tad of sadness. Then it occured to him. She was talking about the customs of what they did in the shop. Request a bowl and make it look like the parents.
Jerome put his arms down and stared at her with a stern look. Where's the fun in that? he thought before he decided he needed to educate the vixen. "Koyuki. Babies..don't always come from a talented painter who sprinkles some magic on a bunch of bowls. In fact, in the real world, that's not even an option. Why do you think there are male and female foxes?" he asked as he sat up. His only thoughts of having fun, now shattered to explain something so instinctive

Perhaps it was a bit of naive-ness on the vixen's part, but how could she have known anything else than what had been put infront of her since she was old enough to understand. A stern look came across her face as she pushed one of her long locks of hair aside. "I know about the birds and the bees, Jerome. I've heard quite enough from Corosina..." Much to my dismay... she thought, "But have you ever seen a pregnant female here? No, all there is here are those bowls. I'm not sure where you came from originally, but what if there is something wrong with the foxes here? Wrong with me? Do you not think there would be an abundance of male female couples pregnant if they could?"
While she understood where he was coming from, her own fears of not being able to get pregnant were too strong; and her mind too focused on what she'd 'discovered' around these lands.
"While it works for those like Corosina who well....I would hope never reproduces..." Koyuki shuddered...but it seemed she seemed to be aware of Jerome's train of thought as she leaned into him. "works out pretty great for us...we can have the best of both worlds, nothing will change for you and I until those bowls arrive! Wouldn't you rather have fun instead of some big cranky girl?" It was pretty solid in her mind, this bowl thing was indeed a good thing!

The Spartan was almost in shock when he heard her say those words of something being wrong with her. He wanted to pull her in for a hug at that point and had lifted his arms to do so. "Nothing is wrong with you! You are perfectly fine the way you are" he said sympathetically
However her next set of words were to come as more of a shocker. His mouth dropped and his eyes widened as he couldn't believe what he was hearing. In the back of his mind he was doing a little victory dance, but that was quickly caged up. He was a bit more worried about Rushing the poor girl. Was it really something she wanted, or did she just say it to make him happy.
He couldn't believe he was going to say this, and he mentally slapped himself, but the thought being a gentleman would be the better thing to do than a horny pervert. "Are you sure you want to do that? I don't want to rush you into something you might not want" he said trying ever so hard not to wince at his own words

It warmed her heart to know he accepted her no matter what, so much that she'd thought it would have burst in her chest; yet that blush returned with a vengeance on her cheeks. Oh did she want to just jump into those inviting arms but she could not....
Honestly taking a moment to consider the options Jerome had given her, she wanted to make the right decision; and wanted them both to look back and not see it as a rushed mistake. Yet each time she found herself looking into those dark, caring eyes a voice inside her told her all she needed to know. There was no such thing as mistakes when it came to Jerome...she loved everything that made him who he was and in turn he brought out in her.
Reaching out to place a paw on his cheek she smiled brilliantly, a warmth which could not be explained but seen in her rich brown eyes. "I was scared of love...but its time for me to let go. I'm ready to feel without reservations, I'm no longer afraid to fall head over heels and more for you....because I already have."
With the last restraints of her fears holding her back from truly admitting her love for the Spartan snapped; the vixen nearly launched herself into his arms to send them both back on the ground in their private oasis.
...Yet who would have known how wrong one could really be in time.

It was a few hours later. Both Jerome and his love had fallen asleep under the protection of the willow tree. The sun was setting and the day birds were heading home, while the creatures of the night began their prowl. Crickets began to chirp, adding to a new serene setting. The moon was starting to peak over the horizon and cast it's white glow onto the land.
Jerome snapped awake as he suddenly remembered where he was, who he was, and why he was there. A sudden call from an owl had set his nerves on edge, but as he soon realized it was nothing to worry about, he was at ease.
Quickly realizing that he was naked, he pulled himself up and walked over the the warm under armor which was discarded earlier and lay in a black heap. Silently he slipped it on and moved back over to his love, examining her to see if she was sound asleep. He didn't want to wake her

Indeed the vixen was asleep, but slowly she'd begun to awake, the shuffling of paws on the grass and of course the departure of her heat source sending a shiver down her spine. Stretching her legs out as her eyes slowly opened with a yawn, it took her a few moments to adjust to the darkness of her surroundings. During her time asleep she'd grabbed her own discarded Kimono to use as a half blanket to cuddle against, and without thinking she shrugged it on as she sat up, rubbing her sleepy eyes.
It was then she noticed Jerome standing beside her as she looked up to him with a gentle smile. "Good....erm..." What was it now? Late night, early morning? "..Hello there." She settled on with a but of a chuckle, tilting her head to the side as she tied up her sash around her waist without needing to even look at it; having become second nature.
"Have you been up long?"

Jerome was about to move away from her, when he noticed she stirred, he smiled and kissed her on the cheek. "I think, Dusk. I was about to check" he said as he watched his love slowly put herself together. He had no idea as to how lucky he was in meeting this girl. He hoped they would live together for as long as time, which he knew wasn't possible.
He shook his head at her following question. "Not long. Just woke up long enough to put this back on." he said as he tugged at the collar of his armor

Folding her ears back as she smiled brightly at the display of affection, she sighed softly in bliss. How had she gotten so lucky to have had him find her out of all the other foxes in the shop. Slowly standing on her paws she smoothed out and removed bits of dirt and debris from the ground and walked over to draw back the canopy of leaves from the willow.
"Dusk is right....and i'm glad..I'd hate to have been snoozing away while you waited for me." Koyuki chuckled, before realizing a fact she'd totally forgotten during the afternoon with Jerome. "Ah....so much for fixing the indoor garden..." a faint blush rose on her cheeks clearly visible even in the calming darkness of the evening against her pale white face. Not that she minded missing out on the work but surely she'd be faced with questions; once she really didn't want to answer.

Jerome watched as Koyuki got up and walked over to the natural drapery. He wasn't surprised that it was dusk, but more of he'd be walking home in the dark. A dangerous thing to do with blood thirsty elites running around. Never the less, he walked over and looked up at the moon as it slowly inched it's way above the tree line. It was full. No doubt this only would make things more difficult, but when Koyuki spoke, his attention was on her, not what he thought about later.
"Well so what? I mean there are 4 others who live with you, they should be able to understand that you needed a break" he said as he tilted his head and finally decided to adjust his ever so obvious hair.

"Ahh....well there is a problem with that." The vixen smiled sheepishly, looking up to her....well....she could safely say mate in her mind, for there was no one else she'd rather be with. "It was you-know-who, who asked me since it was me who accidentally flooded the garden in the first place. None the less it wont be a change, he's always mad at something or another..." Koyuki laughed merrily, it seemed though Trovalius had his paws full trying to beat off a very determined Corosina half of the time the two were together. It gave her a little mental break anyways, but the silent deal had been he'd occupy Drake while she kept Corosina away from Trovalius. "In a weird...twisted way it works."
Although her hair was in no better shape as it hung out from its once tight circular shape; frizz and little pieces of dirt covered some of her otherwise long black locks. Grinning lightly she shook her head and turned to grab his shoulders to pull him down just a bit so she could reach with ease. "Let me help..." It wasn't really hard since his hair was short, but any excuse to display affection she was going to take it. Combing her tiny claws through his hair to break up the clumping and allow the brown hair to stand up in that spiked fashion took no time at all. "There, you look great!"

Jerome carefully patted his newly styled hair to feel it. It wasn't messy, so he supposed it was fine. With a smile he thanked her, then looked into the wilderness. "Do you want me to walk you home? Obviously I wouldn't imagine you knowing how to get back" he snickered as he playfully hugged her.
He was still very tired. Was it from the physical activities of the day? or was it that he did have some trouble sleeping knowing that there were cut throats at almost every turn. He wasn't sure, but he yawned a bit and waited for his mate's answer

About to pipe up she was capable of walking, the sudden realization came to her that she'd actually kept her eyes closed the whole way here; a fact she'd forgotten completely about. "Ah....Well yes that would be kind of you, since I had to come blindly here..." Koyuki laughed and swooned in the fact she was swept into a playful hug. She'd noticed Jerome looked more tired than usual....perhaps he'd need some time in cryo?
"Shall we get going back? You look quite tired, My-Jerome...' The vixen couldn't help but simply beam at using her mother's affectionate suffix for those she cared about. "Perhaps you need to really rest for a while? You have been without your armor for quite some time now..." Close to a month, when he began to leave it behind to be 'closer' to her. It began to make her wonder if it had some energy giving properties to it.

Jerome nodded. He stepped forward and picked up the vixen with the greatest of ease. What was the point in asking if she was likely to accept the offer anyway. Quickly, he trudged across the creak. It felt a bit deeper. Had it rained somewhere? He didn't know, nor really care. Quickly he set his beloved back on dry land, then proceeded to shake the water off of his feet. "Alright. Shall we?" he said offering an arm for her to take.
"Oh, and before I forget, would it bother you greatly if when I dropped you off, I grabbed a bite to eat?" he said with a bit of a nervous smile. In truth it had been a while since he had anything decent to eat. It's what he got from living in a pod living off of whatever nourishment the bulky armor could provide him.
