It took all Rachel's self-control not to scream as the elevator plummeted. She clutched her bag to her, watching the elevator shaft zoom by with wide eyes.
I am going to die here. This elevator is going to crash, and we will be pancakes, and if we're lucky, someone will come and scrape our brains off the concrete, and... ohhh, would this have happened if I hadn't pushed that button!?
For a moment, she panicked about missing the appointment, though the small, logical part of her mind that never seemed to shut off reminded her that, should she die, it wouldn't matter. And should she live, it was likely that her potential boss would accept falling down an elevator shaft as a reasonable excuse for lateness.

Olga-- Scarred lawyer Falling is bad. Stopping suddenly is worse.
...The doors on the outside. Closed and showing no signs of opening. With a lurch and a soft twang from somewhere high up, the elevator dropped tapping itself on the shaft walls as it went. As soon as it had began to drop, a pair of powerful arms grabbed her from behind, pulling her away from the hurtling wall outside and into a bearhug against the side wall. Clutching one of his arms tightly, Olga closed her eyes so that she couldn't wetch the wall go past, silent tears pouring from her eyes as she thought, I'm going to die. We hit the ground floor, go a bit further and then we die. I don't want to die.

Well, f*** me. Of course this happens today. Well, if I die, don't have to worry about clients anymore... Casper thought. He wasn't liking the feeling of freefall.
As the elevator fell, it suddenly jolted up for a bit, then down a few floors, and then oscillated a couple more times. Casper's stomach was not feeling well, and the butterflies in there were probably going to drop dead. "This is not a god damn rollercoaster!" he shouted.
But somewherein the middle of the oscillations, the "Help is on the way" button lit up, and a speaker somewhere crackled to life.
"BZZZTT.. bzztt... Hello there. We're working on the elevator problem." came a male voice. There was a huge rumble that shook the building and the elevator, and the two voices that could be heard were two males. "What the hell was that? .. what did you say? A bomb? What?!
...We have to get everyone out!
...What about the elevator!
...I'm working on it!..."
((My next post will have the elevator stop somewhere.))

Rachel caught her glasses as they jerked around with the jolting of the elevator.
You're working on the problem?! I was hoping for a little bit more than that! This elevator is tossing us like a salad!
As the voices went on to panic about the giant shockwave from the supposed bomb, Rachel felt her face go white. If there really was a bomb in the building, this free-falling elevator was the last place she wanted to be. No control over her movement, very little range of movement, and a mini-room full of strangers to boot.
The next sudden jerk or two sent her tumbling backwards to the ground, clinging to the railing for support. She hoped that whoever was "working on it" was working as fast as they could.

Jenette screamed as she felt the free-fall of the elevator. The jolting of the elevator caused her to drop her purse, but luckily it stayed closed. She tried to cling to the wall as best she could, hoping the elevator would stop soon. She would take the stairs, not caring that she was second from the top. This was scaring her extremely.
Then she heard the part about the bomb, and panic seized her. They were stuck... in an elevator.. in a skyscraper.. that was going to blow up. If she wasn't probably going to die, she'd smack herself in the face.

The elevator finally stopped oscillating and started another full plummet, this time it did not stop or veer from its path. The elevator doors were still open, and the floors were visibly flying past them.
The elevator finally crashed at presumably the bottom of the elevator shaft. However, there was an awfully loud sickening crunching sound, and the way the elevator made its last few seconds of descent, it sounded as if something had cushioned its fall and gotten crushed because of the impact.
...Whatever it was, it saved the passengers in the elevator from dying. However, green slimy goo splattered from below the elevator onto the walls out the elevator.
After a few kicks, the doors that led from the elevator shaft to the building would open to show Floor 100 completely empty and errily silent.

"What the hell?" Those were the first words out of Jenette's mouth when the elevator stopped. The sicking crunch and subsequent green goo was rather odd, and grotesque, to her, but the fact that they were now just a floor above her office floor was astounding. She saw the block numbers on the outside of the hall elevator doors and raised her eyebrows. "Does anyone else find that extremely odd?"
The hurling of the elevator had caused her to fall against the wall and then to the floor of the elevator. She righted herself and stood up, once again brushing off her clothes and attempting to wipe the wrinkles out of her suit.

---Jack Dubois
A bomb threat? Jack thought to himself as the man's voice fizzed out over the com, but his thoughts were cut short as the elevator plummeted for the final time. Keeping his hold on Olga as they fell, icy eyes watched as the floors whizzed past, counting them as they neared the basement floor.
To his surprise, the impact was muffled, something cushioned the elevator as they hit, saving them all from death. The crunching noise that sounded as the green slime practically exploded from below was particularly odd. Letting go of Olga, he looked around, moving to the elevator doors and running a hand over them before stepping back and kicking the doors ajar and prying them open the rest of the way with his hands. He walked out into the hall, only realizing the number of the floor when another woman walked out and mentioned it herself.
Jack's eyes narrowed at these odd occurrences, looking from the floor number to the inside of the elevator that was covered in green gobs of goo. "What the hell did we land on?" he said, trying to peer through any cracks. "Nevermind, if there's a bomb we should find the stairs and get out now, we've got a long way to go." By now, all of his plans were ruined, they would be evacuating the building if anything, and his chance would have been expired.
((I just wanted to kick open the doors XD Just pretend he did that before you looked out, Ghost sweatdrop ))

Olga-- Scarred lawyer It could have been worse.
With the intercom working it proved that their was someone trying to help them but unsuccessfully at the same time. And then the lift began to freefall yet again. With a whimper as the group hit the whatever-the-hell softening the blow to the ground and saving their lives. As Jack kicked the doors open, Olga reached over and touched some of the green goo, finding it to be warm to the touch. Only when one of the others pointed out that they were on the top floor after falling to the bottom did she notice that their was something strange going on. "Vhat are ve doing ot the top floor. I thought that ve fell to the bottom of the building." Shivering at a sudden chill, she walked out into the room, rather than stay in the elevator any longer.
((Blargh at the short post.))

(I meant the numbers that are inside the elevator shaft. Sometimes, I don't word properly. Sry.)
Elizabeth Jenette Gesping
Jenette exited the elevator, glad to be out of that death trap. The goo seemed to be oozing from around the sides, but she didn't know what it could be from. Jenette walked over to the stairwell entrance, but didn't open the door. She had a gut feeling of danger. "I hope that that bomb doesn't go off anytime soon. We have a long way to go." She turned back to the elevator and watched as the scared woman stepped out of the elevator. She smiled at her, an unusal look for Jenette. "It is indeed a weird happenstance." For some weird reason, Jenette pitied the girl and wanted to make her not as scared.
Jenette walked away from the stairwell entrance and looked around. It seemed to be an office that was still being constructed, though it was mostly done. She admired the color scheme and the matching furniture. The need to quit the building was more pressing than admiring office furniture, so she turned and looked at the rest of the people, waiting for them to regroup. She didn't feel comfortable alone, especially with the dangerous feeling she was getting in her stomach.

Casper nearly barfed from the oscillations and the plummet when the elevator stopped. Would have done a number on the elevator, his fellow companions, and himself if he had. It really didn't help that green goo seemed to spray out from whatever was below. What the hell?
Casper got off the elevator as soon as he could after Jack kicked and pried open the shaft doors. He stumbled out, not noticing the floor number until the others mentioned it. "That makes no sense."
What also didn't make sense was that Casper had hit Floor 100 as his destination and he didn't remember the floor looking so unfinished. There was an office on the other side, and that was where he was headed. But given the green goo and the strange happenings, something was weird.
He stumbled over to the windows to look down. They were pretty high up, but Casper swore he couldn't see any cars in the roads as far as he could see... besides the cars parked on the side. Funny. Roads are always busy around now. He had forgotten about the bomb threat due to his stomach for the moment. The bomb threat may have caused the roads nearby to be evacuated, but the roads beyond were also empty.

((Feel free to improvise here and use your imagination.))
The green goo that Ian touched appeared to be relatively harmless at first sight. ((Unless Articx wants a side effect))
The stairwell door would once again be jammed, but would probably not survive Jack's kicks. However, the door would make loud noises once it was kicked open, the sound echoing down the eerily dark stairwell. Every now and then, the lights would flicker on and then off.
However, if the group were to head down the stairs to the next level and open the door, they would find themselves on the roof.

Sable had done as she normally did in a case of extreme chaos. She had remained abosulutely still and quiet in the back of the elevator, despite what had happened. When the doors finally opened to reveal themselves, and she saw the floor number, her disorientation took hold, and she momentarily experienced a dizziness very akin to vertigo.
Clutching her purse, she stumbled past the others, and headed for the nearest window. She had to see the world, to make sure she was still on earth... To make sure the world hadn't dssappeared. But the sight that greeted her made the vertigo worse. She closed her eyes. What she saw had to be wrong. She opened her eyes, and was greeted with the most deserted sight she had ever seen. Building reached for the sky, and roads ran for miles. But nowhere was there a person in sight, except here in the building with her.
Taking a deep breath, she started looking around for a trash bin. She wanted to be near one, just in case the feeling of sickness didn't pass.
