OH NOES!!!
Well, in that case, guess it's time to hit the showers, before any other inmates show up. I don't like to share my hot water.

Don't know much about South Park, so I shall avoid that conversation, but a couple other comments: Making Fiends is made of awesome and win. Also, on the national anthem thing, it made me laugh, because you know how in Kumikyoku Nico Nico Douga (long medley that has a bunch of popular anime and video game songs) there's a part where they sing the Japanese national anthem to the Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy themes? Well someone sang an English version of the medley, and on that part, instead of translating Kimi ga Yo (Japanese national anthem), they sang the American national anthem, and oh my, they had to sing live five syllables per, um, syllable, because Star Spangled Banner is so long, and in the Japanese version, Kimi ga Yo is so short, they actually would have to hold out single syllables to last for more than one syllable in the music. Er, sorry, I'm easily amused.

It is DEFINITELY made of awesome and win. I <3 Vendetta!!!
Vote vote vote...unless you are a goat...because goats can't vote
I singith not, tis blasphemous! ((fyi: love that guy too!))
I know I've heard KNND, but it's been a really really long time and I don't think I remember any of it...maybe I'll have to go search that out again. Don't know if I've heard this English version though, having a hard time imagining how that works, just, acoustically. I do get sort of how it works linguistically. At least, I understand how that is the case. Sounds like it would not be euphonious in the least razz .

I love Vendetta as well! <3 Charlotte, Mr. Milk, and Marvin are awesome too. Just the way he says, "My banana!" or "My ice cream!" is just the best voice ever. XD Monkeys... don't wear shoes! Monkeys... never lose their wallets because they don't have any!The English version is actually pretty good. It's just done by a fan, and I think there's more than one by different people by now, but this is the first one I heard, and I think the first one all together: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFMdI4RAJE4&feature=video_responseThe girl doesn't have an amazing voice or anything, but she's not a bad singer, and she did a really good job of translating the Japanese, then changing the English lyrics around to fit the tune.

Vendetta is by far my favorite...I actually really really like Charlotte, I dunno if I can love her, but I mean she's just the type of character I normally hate. However she's just so perfect, and her contrast to Vendetta is just so brilliant that I have to like her.
Mkay I'll check that out in the morning, assuming I won't have work, which is a pretty good assumption. Maybe I'll be surprised though... razz

The first thing we are talking about is this cartoon of epic win!! I actually stumbled across Vendetta after my friend sent me to Big Bunny about 6 or so years ago: http://www.big-bunny.com/episodes.htmIt's another cartoon by Amy Winfrey, it's cute (and umm, creepy) and really short. From there I stumbled across the wonder that is Making Fiends (and the subject we were currently babbling about): http://www.makingfiends.com/It's a lot longer (was even back then before it had been expanded longer for TV), but much better. More character development and plot and other such fabulous tidbits. She has since created two other series, Muffin Films, of which I've only seen part and am not sure I remember them enough to recommend, and Squid and Frog which I've never seen. Maybe after I catch up on the TV episodes/rewatch the Vendetta web episodes (been dying to do that for awhile now) I'll check those other things out. The other thing, Nico Nico Douga, I'll let Kits explain that. I'm generous like that razz

I know, Charlotte is just so perfect, even though she seems like she should be so annoying! XD She and Vendetta kind of remind me of Galinda and Elphaba from Wicked. I mean, Vendetta's even green. And why thank you for the generosity. I shall be generous too and allow Wikipedia to do my explaining for me. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kumikyoku_Nico_Nico_Douga

Hmm...that's a nice analogy. And I do love both Elphaba and Glinda (Elphaba more). And Charlotte is blue! I know Glinda isn't blue, but it's her best color (that and pink - which I think fits Charlotte's personality too).
Haha...*cough*lazy*cough...j/k j/k!!! It's always best to let wikis do the talking ^_~.

Yay. =D I like Elphaba better too, but I do love both of them. And I relate Galinda more to pink and yellow than blue, but I can definitely see the blue thing as well. XD Nah, I really was just lazy.

I think because in my mind Glinda links to "good fairy/witch" which are often portrayed in blue. Plus I meant to wear, not just as in a tonal representation. Because as she has golden hair (either in Baum's Oz or Wicked) yellow wouldn't be a good color on her, she'd get washed out. And then her most spectacular and most often worn costume, at least in the representations of Wicked I've seen, is blue and sparkly, so I just associate that with her the most.

I was thinking of what she wears as well; the pink for Glinda the Good in The Wizard of Oz, and the yellow as well as pink again because she actually does wear those in the Wicked musical, as like a casual look, and it actually doesn't look bad on her. I didn't care for how blue looked on her, but that just might be because I don't like blue. XD It also seems too soft and not peppy enough for her personality.

I don't think she wore yellow in the production I saw, other than the gown though the costumes probably vary depending on where you see the production though. She wore a lot of pink, white, black, green and then spent the second half of the musical in that blue gown. You're right, I don't think blue seems peppy, but I think the blue was very representative of the fact that she kind of lives a double life. She's who she is and she's who the public thinks she is. The dress is a bit different from her personality, it's ornate and public figure, it's a deception, and I find that very fitting. Plus blue is a much more royal color than pink or yellow, which are a bit younger, so it's kind of a better reflection of the role she is playing in the community. The blue dress makes a statement, I don't like blue, but I like the role of the dress.

She wore the yellow outfit when they first visited the Emerald City in the production I saw... I'm pretty sure that's when it was at least. Oh, yes, I definitely agree that the blue represents her facade persona very well, but for Galinda's more 'true' self, I don't see the blue. XD

By the end I'm not sure what Glinda's "true self" is, she does change, and I think she kind of grows into that. More of a controlled, royal figure whose going to work the system - to help it, rather than just get washed away with the crowd riding just a pretty face.
Ok I think maybe she wore a yellow dress then, however it kinda gets washed out especially with all the greens and the light. Like I said, yellow just doesn't work on blondes. Makes them all one color.
