The First Month
A small smile formed on the pregnant wrath teens face “ I can handle the weight of this box Marcy” Temperance kept walking. “I just want you to be safe mumma” stated the red head as she passed Tempy. Temperance smiled as Marcy walked into the ‘Night Family Farm’ she let a silent sigh out. She closed her eyes and absorbed the sun. Everything was falling in place just the way she wanted it. The unknown variables could have turned out negative. The first variable would be talking to Gabriel Night about a place to reside, second variable the reaction of her love ones, the third the affect it would have on her job.
As she drove to the ‘Night Family Farm’ after having the pregnancy procedure she stayed calm, and didn’t analyze what she would say to Gabriel. Once she was pulled into the farm she quickly gathered her laptop, and few flyers given to her by the staff of ‘Seven’ and went to look for Gabriel. He was in the kitchen feeding his dogs. “Mr. Night, I need to speak with you” she spoke in her normal tone. The two spoke in the living room and had a lengthily conversation. Tempy spoke about what happened at seven and what mused her to have the procedure done and why so sudden. He explained that he was also young when he adopted his first kids, and that she would always be welcomed on the farm. Gabriel couldn’t judge Temperance and would only wish her the best.
She was encouraged by the farm owner’s support and decided to arrange a meeting with her guardians about moving and being pregnant. She felt talking to them in person would be the most effective way to tell them. Tempy met with them the next day at their home. The couple had a feeling about Temperance wanting to move since her life was on the farm. They weren’t ready for the pregnant part. After the uncial shock, they gave her support and wanted seeing rights to the baby and she granted them that. During her phone call with her guardians Marcy got home. After finishing her conversation with Bonnie about five minutes later she went up stairs to Marcie’s room.
“YOUR WHAT!” Marcy shouted. Temperance tried to explain but Marcy walked out of her room and went to look for Gabriel. “Your just fine with her getting pregnant, this CRAZY dad” she was over whelmed with feelings. “Marcy, I’m not the one watching over , my values and morals are not hers” he explained. He cut Marcy off from saying anything rash. Marcy crossed her arms “I’m going for a walk , I will be back , I hope I don’t run into any billboards” she started to walk off. “Marcy …..” Gabriel said in his father tone. “I’m sorry this is just nuts to me , I can’t help how I feel, I need some time” she stated. “I understand Marc , do what you need to”. After talking with Marcy, Gabriel arranged to have a farm meeting, announcing that Tempy is expecting. He first checked with Temperance, and she felt it appropriate and effective way to get the news out.
Once Marcy got back from her walk, she found Temperance talking to the farms Nanny. Once the nanny saw Marcy she excused herself. “I am not cool with this Tempy , it’s going to take time for me to come full circle, but you don’t have to live in the other farm house , you can still sleep in the girls room if you want” she stated. Tempy talked with Gabriel about renting a room on the farms other house. “I understand that your upset and I respect your concern, I am willing to stay in the ‘Girl’ room, I rather enjoy the environment” she reapplied. Marcy and her sister sleep in the same room, and when Temperance sleeps over, that’s where she stays. The red headed angel folded her arms “I think I need some more alone time, and I think you need to talk to your boss” Marcy stated.
The wrath girl agreed and went to find Farmer Red. He was out in the pumpkin patch, when he saw her he started to walk her way. She broke into the same speech she gave Gabriel. “Well hun , I don’t see this affecting your job , and I really can’t say much babe , other than congratulation” the country gentleman stated . “Thank you Farmer Red , I will make sure to keep my work load at the same level ,till I need maternity leave” she commented. Red just chuckled and went back to work.
Once the news was announced many people had questions for her mostly children. Temperance always answered all the questions honestly, to honestly in some cases. Marcy didn’t talk to her much for the first week. It wasn’t till Temperance came back from ‘Seven’ after her first pregnancy checkup. The test worked, and she was officially pregnant. “So this is happening then, she asked, you’re going to have a baby” she huffed. “Yes , like I said , I am pregnant, It looks like I will have a successful term” she stated. “Well if you need someone for classes, I guess I can help, and what about eating will you be at least taking supplements” she asked. Temperance listened then spoke “I would love for you to be my partner if I do pregnancy classes , that would be most helpful, yes I have a list of supplements I will be adding to my normal intake of water” she stated.
After that conversation Marcy warmed up to the idea of Temperance being pregnant. Temperance asked Marcy to be the Godmother of the child. Marcy couldn’t help but say “Yes ,I would be honored”. Marcy and few others on the farm helped Temperance switch over to the farm. It was during one of the moves Veronica confronted Temperance.
Veronica smiled at her sister “So you got yourself knocked up sis, did cha” she chuckled “And your moving to farm, what a shock” she stated. Things hadn’t gotten too bad. Tempy nodded “ I feel it’s a good environment to raise a child , I will have more support , and travel to the farm will lessen this will be good for my work and my child” she stated. Veronica put on her evil grin “What ever … keep telling yourself that” she walked away. Marcy patted Tempy on the shoulder “That could of gone much worse” she stated. Temperance shrugged and started to load a few boxes in the car.
After getting a little help from her original guardians Temperance was fully packed and ready to move into the Night family farm. She didn’t have much, just a box of books, a box of clothes, and few toiletries. Temperance has always kept her life simple. Bonnie gave off a few sobs “I guess I knew this day was coming, I guess I didn’t expect it to be so soon” she sniffled. Basie just smiled “You will do well on the farm Temperance, Marcy you keep an eye on her” he stated. Marcy nodded “Will do”. Tempy gave her guardians a hug , Marcy forced her to take some pictures. Soon after that they were on their way and before they knew back on farm where Marcy ordered Tempy to be safe.
The two girls got Temperance unpacked rather fast, and the two went outside to enjoy the last few hours of sunlight. The abstinence spawn noticed she needed more sun than usual. In her next checkup she would ask about this. Marcy patted her belly “I can’t wait to meet the little bean living inside there” she smiled. Tempy looked over at the read head “I like comparing a fetus to a bean , that’s a good analogy” and she smiled too. Marcy tried to ignore the oddness of that comment.
