Dacj and Eli exchanged amused looks. "Can't be any worse than Mom's cooking," the kuppy said with a chuckle as he carefully worked the rest of his hair free and started to fingercomb his long locks free of tangles.
"Likely a great deal better," Dacj agreed, moving to tweak Terry's ears and then, realizing how soft they were, settled into stroking them with the side of a finger or two. "I'm quite jealous of your ears," she told the cheetah-patterned bunny boy with a small smile.

Terry's ears twitched lightly as Dacj pet them, but it was clear that the bunny boy was enjoying himself. "Thank you," he replied, running a finger lightly across the top of one of her tentacles. "I think your tentacles are pretty cool too. we should trade for a day."
Careful what you wish for, Seth thought to himself with a faint smile. After all, knowing the kraken Hyte's adoptive mother, such a thing wasn't entirely impossible.

"Maybe for Halloween we should dress up as the other," Dacj suggested with a giggle. After all, there was usually some sort of event or another going on during Halloween, wasn't there? Bunny ears and tentacles, it was like something out of a dirty comic book or something...
Stifling another giggle she dared not explain, she lifted her gaze to Eli and Seth, then remembered something she'd been wanting to ask. "Oh! Eli, when are you going to move in with Kamiko?"
The kuppy went into full sputter and half flail. "How do you even--"
"Mom's still hatching blueprints," the kraken said with a sly grin. "I was just wondering if you'd given her a timeline."

"Oooo, that would be fun!" Terry replied excitedly, very much liking the Halloween idea. "We could be like twins!" The bunny boy cocked his head at Eli's little flailing episode. "Why are you flailing?"
It was hard not to chuckle at the kuppy's reaction, truly. "That's actually a good question," Seth remarked- referring to Dacj's question, not terry's. "Have you guys set up a timeline yet?"

"He does that when he's nervous," Dacj explained, petting Terry's ears some more while she looked positively angelic awaiting Eli's answer.
"Not...yet..." the kuppy managed to squeak out, shooting dagger-eyes at Dacj. "We haven't talked a lot since our last date. And Kitten." That reminded him, Kitten had known he'd meet Dacj this week, hadn't she...
She'd called her "Auntie Dacj" too, which meant that the girl was close enough to her aunt to refer to her in such a manner.
"But I'm sure I can be out of your hair soon enough..." the kuppy said towards Seth with his usual sheepish expression.

"Ooooh," Terry replied, looking the other over thoughtfully. "Why's he nervous?"
Ah yes. Kitten. That was quite an interesting day for sure. "Don't worry about it, Eli," Seth replied with a faint smile. "It's no imposition. Take as long as you guys need." And quite frankly the cheetah Hyte didn't entirely mind the kuppy's company. With Noe gone and Haevan frequently in and out, the apartment would be rather empty otherwise.

"'Cuze I know he has a girlfriend, I guess," the kraken said with a smile. "Since I'm younger I don't think I'm supposed to know that kind of thing yet."
"I--no," the kuppy said defensively. "I just...didn't realize you knew was all." Heaving a sigh, he turned his world-weary gaze towards Seth as if to say 'can you believe this' and then managed a small grateful look for Seth's assertions. "Yeah, between Kitten and everything..." He blinked. He still needed to tell Kamiko about Noe, for goodness' sakes. One more thing...

The cheetah Hyte merely chuckled at that. "Kitten was quite interesting I must say. Just hope you remember her warning." Seth found that whole sparkle situation to be entirely too ironic, truly. He opened his mouth to say something else, but a small crashing sound from the kitchen caused him to stop, instead letting out a sigh. "I'd best go check on her," the cheetah Hyte remarked before padding over to the kitchen.
"So Kamiko is your girlfriend?" Terry asked the kuppy after Seth had left the room. "So do you do all the kissy stuff then like the couples on tv?" The bunny wasn't actually trying to embarrass the other, he was just genuinely curious. He didn't quite get the whole 'relationship' thing just yet really.

Eli shook his head. Kitten's "warning" was the least of his problems...
And the kuppy promptly gained a slight red flush at Terry's innocent question. "Ah...sort of...we haven't kissed yet..."
"What are you waiting for?" Dacj asked, propping her elbows on her tentacles as she rested her head on her hands.
"It's less a matter of waiting and more a matter of...timing," Eli said with a cough. "I don't think you really need to know all the details..."

"I don't get it," Terry replied honestly, cocking his head a little. "And why is your face red? Are you warm?" It was no wonder that Seth didn't usually look forward to baby-sitting the cheetah-bunny. Aside from his perpetual hyperness, he seemed to have a knack for asking awkward questions.

"S'called blushing, Terry, and it means he's embarrassed," Dacj said serenely. "I'm just saying, you're going to live with her..."
"What on earth do you know about it?" Eli asked.
Dacj gave him a very measured look. "Eli, I'm a tentacle monster. You know Mom. I got the talk. Actually, I got it as soon as she could stop me cavorting around the Cottage wiggling my fingers..."
Eli shuddered at the memories of his own 'talks' with Mena...or, rather, the safety videos. The safety videos that had spared no detail. "Okay. So you're a very well informed kid, but a kid nonetheless," the kuppy said, crossing his arms.

"What talk?" Terry asked, now even more confused than before. "And what does being a 'tentacle' monster have to do with anything?"
Fortunately Seth returned right at that moment before either of the other two had to answer. "Everything's fine. She just dropped a couple of pans was all," he explained. "So, did you guys want to pop in a movie or something in the meantime?"

Dacj patted Terry's head as a silent apology for not answering his questions, and smiled at Seth. "A movie sounds nice~"
It wasn't too far into the movie that delicious smells began to waft into the living room from the kitchen...

After both the movie and the meal, the group visited for a while longer before Elf decided that it might be best to return home. "I left Kura and Jarel in charge, but I think they might be overwhelmed by the other Lytes and Bytes if we leave them alone too long," she explained. "But it was certainly nice to get to visit with you all~ We'll have to do this again in the future. ^_^"
Seth smiled faintly, very much able to understand how the two poor Lytes back at home must be fairing. "I'm glad you guys stopped by. And thank you again for cooking. Are you sure I can't get your guys anything before you go?"
She simply smiled and shook her head. "Nope, we're good. But any time you want to stop by the house feel free~"
Hint taken. With a faint smile, he replied, "Will do."
"Bye Eli! Bye Dacj!" the little rabbit boy said with a wave. "Let me know how those experiments go, ok? ^_^"

"Sure!" Dacj said, with a big grin and a merry wave at Terry. After they had left, a silence pervaded the room until the little kraken sighed and said, "Well, I suppose I ought to be going too..."
"Hang on just a second--we're calling Mom and having her come pick you up," Eli said, fishing out his cell phone as he spoke. "Or at least figuring out if we need to escort you home in her place. It's already getting dark outside."
