If you're against national ID cards for whatever reason, the simple solution isn't to be against Government Healthcare, it's to be against national ID cards.
The USA has had Government Healthcare for YEARS! It's called MEDICARE! All that has been done is expanding it to cover more people, in this case, the poor. Damned right-wing Americans wouldn't let it be expanded to EVERYONE, no, that would be COMMUNISM and SOCIALISM! We must follow LAISSEZ-FAIRE (sp?) capitalism, or else we're all doomed!

You know, I argued with some girl until my face was red, because she stated that only those who work should be entitled to health care. Ummm...not everyone can work. I wonder if she had ever heard of cerebral palsy. She then went on to tell me that Jesus has a lot harsher words than what she said...um...since when did Jesus advise against sharing?
Even if someone is just lazing about and popping out kids, I believe that everyone should be entitled to health care...and if anyone says that they shouldn't have kids if they can't afford them, I'd love to say that if they believe that than they should fight for the right for a woman to have an abortion.

Not everyone can get a job these days. It's hard, especially since jobs are dwindling from businesses closing down.

Also, to the OP, I don't really see the problem with Health-care. The only thing I see is the National ID card and I find it funny how it has your DNA and is microchipped. >w> Microchips don't exist enough to just be invisible, there are certain circuits and power that needs to be supplied to the chip for it to work. Not to mention the size needed can easily be found, and would cause controversy everywhere. But that's besides the point, how did microchipping relate to this healthcare bill in the first place? The only relation I read had to deal with the racial profiling in Arizona, but it's not a large enough issue to do something that national nor would national IDs be made because of illegal aliens.

(sure you had crews that banned together to do there kind of work. but it was on smaller scales.)

(sure you had crews that banned together to do there kind of work. but it was on smaller scales.) That isn't what effected us the most, though. Spending actually increases economy if used right, kind of like stocks. Although, Bush spent it wrong and put us into some major debts. Obama thinks if we spend more into education among other things, it would increase jobs in the future and get us out of debt. However, education isn't the problem, it's the problems itself and the economy. Sure, we spend on useless stuff like water bottles which would get us out of debt bit by bit if we just didn't water bottles for the nation anymore. That just plays a part, though. This country doesn't have a problem being run, it's just that we need a better government. Like, for example... when early America was being designed, they used the magna carta document for the idea to create a weak central government so they wouldn't have something as powerful as a king. They used the right to bear arms act to make sure a militia could be made to overthrow the government if it ever got out of hand, and other things. So yeah, the government can be powerful. My fear right now is that the government is losing much trust of the public as well as cash, which is what fuels their power. This will make the exact same thing as the Articles of Confederation which designed a weaker central govt. The only problem this caused is that the government gained less and less power until it was powerless. Now, the government has only small control over the people they own: us.

Because what they set in stone as what is going to happen is in the bill, what you mentioned is a guess of what will happen, which is a little unfair. You can't just say what you expect and wish for the bill to state in, then you'll just be complaining that the government shouldn't tax higher and higher on the middle class. The taxation is used to help full the health-care, but I don't mind spending a bit more for someone to keep living. It isn't that bad. So yeah, everything that needs to be said is in the bill, it's just really general and can make people sketchy.
Besides, we don't have a choice. There is no other way to get healthcare for the people unless from government spending and we are already stuffed up the a** with debt. There isn't else but taxes.
( Though I have a problem with taxation considering it is not a law. )

You're really far off. What about Somalia and the other small third-world countries? Also, during then, socialism isn't what started the idea of being a nazi. Socialism is what gave the nazi idea power. What if socialism is a good thing, just without making everyone equal and killing anyone who isn't? I mean, a one-world government is a perfect idea in theory but people look at it as this NWO that will enslave us all.

I think you're overly romanticizing the founding of the USA. Anyway, my point is that you shouldn't b***h about socialism if you're using socialized services. Hoshioni and you do know the history of socialism and how it was in nazi germany right? theres a reason for it. look up the full history. history has pattrens. america was at its best when we had more freedom. bing able to think and make as we wish is what allowed us to be the best of the world. we are decaying for many many reasons. our nation has more chemicals and supression then anyother nation on earth . just not the oppression yet It doesn't matter because none of this is socialism. I still don't understand why making it so everyone can get medical care is a bad idea. It's going to be expensive but considering we've spent a few trillion on war over the past decade it doesn't seem like that big of a deal. I'm also skeptical of your claim about suppression and chemicals.

in socialism there is welfare, and other benifits for non working people, more government centered jobs. theres no industruy by the people, the powers of law and money, this isnt how the world should be, we should be the ones running our lifes not a bureaucracy.
we have strayed from nature, self suffcientcy, hard work and other values. if we arent rewarded fairly for our work if we do not trade amoungst ourselfs, then we can never truely have freedom

TrutherMei Just because it's labeled as "free" (paid into) health care, doesn't mean they are all the SAME health care though. Canadian health care is good but France has way better health care. American health care has all sorts of rules and regulations that turn a good idea into a lousy one. An expense cap is given for each year, for how much American's and their families can get for "free" before being s**t out of luck. Honestly the only real problem I have with it, is that now they will have a reason to enforce national ID cards (mark of the beast or damn close to it), because the Americans wont want to pay for the illegal immigrant's health care services.
You're right, because we don't already have cards that prove we're citizens. Oh wait, what's this blue card in my wallet? The one with my name and a number? A number that is only associated with me and no one else...a card that every one here has to prove their legitimacy?!?!?!?!
As far as healthcare goes, all of the other states need to take a leaf out of MA's book and just have a free form of healthcare for people who REALLY can't afford it, and lower cost healthcare programs for people who can't afford the outrageous ones. Simple.
